SolidSnake7 ee_girlies_rockin_ere Acoustic. It just seems purer. Like, if you have an electric, you can disguise your playing with effects and stuff, but you've gotta be pretty good to get stuff like that on an acoustic. Also, this sounds weird, but I randomly sit there hugging my guitar. Not while I'm playing. I'll be doing something else, and I'll just pick up my guitar, put it on my knee and hug it. And acoustics are a LOT more comfortable to do that with. Yes, I do the same thing. I also sleep with my guitar. And they all have names. My Tele is Puff the magic dragon, my pink strat is Frankie, and my Les Paul is Evangeline. Mine are Little One (my 3/4), Greg, Bluie, Finn and Pavel

look im gonna say right now, its all in taste of music, which some people dont get is relative. if you play classical, or like spanish or mexican folk songs, go acoustic duh. (unless you play neoclassical Yngwie malmsteen stuff) plus, practicing bar chords on a thick-necked acoustic when you're a beginner will make it easier later on when you play faster hard rock songs on an electric.
its very harmonious, the relationship between the two.

Acoustic is better for beginers. And to choose witch, it depends of what you play. Since i play blues, country and cuban, acoustic for me. Try to play "Master of puppets" on acoustic, and it take s**t load of skill to make it sound right, and with electric is eazy.

In another thread joe-dude667 ACOUSTIC!!! I LOVE acoustic. I think there should be an acoustic sub forum. sad But it's just better, I mean you don't have to plug in, it sounds better, why would you even want to play an electric? Plus it's a lot more fun to play. Don Ross?Michael Hedges?Justin King?Anyone?

It really depends on what you want to play. If you want to play Shred, Metal, Rock 'n' Roll, Jazz, Blues, or anything in that area, I suggest Electric. If you like Blugrass, Country, or Classical, then you are better off with acoustic. Whatever you do make sure you get a good one, or else you will regret it.

I don't think what style you play should decide which you play, it's more the person playing that style that chooses what's better for them.

Hey buddy, What do You think B.B. King plays on? He Freakin Plays Lucille, which is a FREAKIN ELECTRIC GUITAR!!!!!!! Yes you can play Acoustic for blues, Yes you can play Acoustic for rock, Or you can be like Buckethead, and play Country on a Flying V!!! You do not have to play those tipes of music on those tipes of guitars, but that is what I would play them with!!!!!
