Being mindful of the other kimeti Path finished up her prank. Path ended up moving half of Nettle's belongs inside the cave. They were now all in different places, her own little redecorating. She also was able to get a few of his other belongings and hide them in the area outside of his cave. Now he'll have to search inside and out for all of his stuff.

Nodding at her handiwork she made her way back towards the twins and others that were done.

Blue Streak laughed, tossing her head and prancing around Poison Gloam in gleeful circles. "I saw some really neat blueberries and a couple of bright pink flowers not too far from here so Silvertongue grab that leaf and we'll go fetch some and Nettle's going to be rainbow for days and the flowers are that way and I'll go get the berries!" She pointed with her nose, towards a patch of burningly bright pink flowers.

The foxbun clambered onto her back and she zipped right out with a laugh. The berries weren't too far, and the leaf was side and curved up, perfect for depositing. And if Blue Streak herself ate about as many blueberries as she picked -- well, her blue muzzle would hide it.

She brought them back to the cave, and crushed the blueberries against the moss, staining them blue.

It was just about impossible to ignore Blue Streak; she talked, and talked, and talked, and talked some more. Her plans for pranking poor Nettle wafted over the gathering like a breeze. A breeze full of words. Sparrow thought sourly that not even Longstride would talk that much... if confronted with a whole swamp full of does.

She picked her way up to the mouth of the cave, exceedingly careful to do no more than look at the assembled pranks. "How long do you think poor Nettle's going to be living this down?"

No wonder Blue Streak was quickly shunted out of most large groups. She beamed at Sparrowhawk, though, apparently pleased to no end that the doe would talk to her. "Well hopefully he'll still be getting hit by stuff when the seasons turn again right? Because I bet those berries you brought are going to stink for days and because there's no real breeze inside the cave he might never get out the smell."

The idea made her grin. She carefully picked her way out of the cave and off to one side, with an impish bounce. Silvertongue squeaked and scolded, grabbing at the leaf to keep the leftover blueberries from spilling everywhere, then resumed stuffing her mouth.

Smoke and Mud tossed her head at the twins as they bent to help her, tilting to look at them with some amusement in her eyes.

"Thank you," she said, arching an eyebrow as a smirk made its way across her face. "I appreciate the help, boys."

The rest of the Kimeti were bustling around on their own now, eagerly setting traps and pranks galore. Some were more elaborate than others, while some were definitely more...repugnant than others. Smoke wrinkled her nose at the fish, but it made her laugh, shaking her head.

Flipping her tail, Smoke glanced back at her work one more time, and satisfied, trotted out of Nettle's cave to join the rest.

Sparrowhawk chuckled at Blue Streak's expression -- it was hard not to smile at it. The other doe was positively beaming at her. "I guess not. And you see -- that buck brought fish. I don't know what Nettle did to deserve this... he must have done something horrible to the twins." She tried to shoulder her way closer into the throng of kimeti surrounding the twins. She looked so much like them that might be fun to prank someone else by pretending to be a sibling. "I guess I'm glad it's him and not me. I've never actually met him," she admitted, but... well. A good prank was good prank. And Sparrowhawk loved them.

She glanced at the assembled kimeti and their familiars, looking at the furry, striped tail of one of the bucks as it lashed around his ankles; he'd have to be careful with that thing to avoid smearing it in blueberry mash, or paint, or mud...

"Hey!" Sparrowhawk's voice called out over the throng. "What happens if he comes back before we're done?"

Being met with friendliness made Blue Streak even happier. "I've never met him either but I met a couple kimeti who say he's a grump so maybe this will help him lighten up." She paused, cocking her head, as Silvertongue squeaked warningly.

"Or maybe it'll backfire and he'll just get meaner and grumpier but it's fun for us anyhow and he'll get over it eventually. Maybe."

Brightly smiled as he heard the two voices rising over the air. "Well, scattering in opposite directions is the best idea in that case... but ideally, we'd be well out of the way when he discovers this. I know, for one, that I wouldn't want to be around him when he finds all of this..." his voice was a bare whisper as he looked at Myth. "Would you maybe keep a lookout for him? A little flyabout or something? I wouldn't want us to go without a warning." Myth crooned a note and note, doing as her charge had asked her.

The twins eye the waiting crew, those who have finished up their pranks and stepped aside, those still working, and then flash Sparrowhawk a grin.

"It's a good point she makes."

"Excellent point."

"I suggest hiding."

No reply -- but only because his brother had already stepped away to do exactly that, sliding into the bushes to duck out of sight, close enough to hear but not to see. And certainly not taking any kind of responsibility.

((You might want to hide in bold green as well!))

Brightly blinked as the two organizers suggested taking their hiding places already. It was a sound decision... "Hiding... is a good idea." He stepped off as Myth circled a bit in the air and settled beside him, having found nothing yet. The two of them made their way to a relatively full-looking set of bushes by a pond, mostly hollow in the middle, where the two of them could settle down easily, to listen with anticipating expressions for the old buck's reaction. Now to wait... just wait for the reward. With nothing better to do, the crane folded up her wings and settled down for a nap.

User ImageSparrowhawk turned to Brightly with a wild grin -- she hadn't really been expecting an answer (from someone other than Blue Streak, anyway), and ... well, this was exciting. She could feel it in the air, a shivery sensation that danced along her skin. "Yes. I think you're right. I've heard things about Nettle, he can do things--"

And then the twins' voices cut through the air; she stopped mid-sentence and turned to the twins... just in time to see one of them slide away into the bushes. He managed to do so pretty well, well enough that it hid the brilliant orange of his coat.

And Sparrowhawk, whose prank will leave Nettle smelling for days, is right behind the buck -- diving into the bushes, folding her legs underneath her and pressing herself down into the mud and undergrowth, close enough to one of the twins that she winked at him, pleased. If some mud smeared along her flanks, that was alright. It'd hide her better. She didn't want to be the last kimeti standing when Nettle made his way into the clearing.

And where was that turtle? Her eyes widened in alarm. That turtle -- if he'd flipped himself back upright -- was going to cause trouble. And even if he hadn't.

Dodging looked around the area to find her a spot to hide. There looked to be one near the path she used. It wasn't much of a spot, large openings all around, but with the right items she could hide. "Fallen, be a dear and grab some stuff to help me blend in here. I might have one more prank to add, if he walks past me that is." The owlcat grabbed some mud and rubbed into the doe's legs, making sure she was covered well. Next it was some marsh branches with leaves. Knowing that her companion would make her look strangely, Dodging was going to do her best to spook Nettle. Fallen Leaf, finished with her work, climbed on Dodging's back and became a grotesque hump.

Her eyes darted back and forth, looking for any signs that Nettle would be back, but the only movements were of the rest finishing, hiding, or the turtle. "Now he was going to be a problem, probably tell Nettle where we all hide or who was all involved in the pranks." Fallen bobbed her head in agreement.

Nightshade told the mongeese to act normal while she smiled at the twins. Finding a space that was big enough for her behind a bush, she pushed herself into it and its shadow, blending in with her dark fur. Someone would have to look hard to see her, so she was hoping it was a good place to hide. The anticipation was killing her, and she was excited to see what was going to happen.

Path nodded. Hiding was a good idea. It would be interesting to see Nettle's reaction but not be in the cross fire. The doe went and found some large bushes to hide in so that she could still see part of the cave opening.

Needless to say, it was quite amusing seeing all of the Kimeti around her darting to hide. Smoke suddenly found several pairs of eyes staring out from various bushes like tiny lightning bugs blinking. Letting out a snort of amusement, Smoke ambled away from the cave herself, bypassing the somewhat full bushes to a nearby, old, half-rotted log covered in vines.
Kneeling down beside it, she wriggled her behind a bit, scooching herself into the log. It was a tight squeeze - Smoke let out a grunt - but with a bit more wiggling she managed to get herself into it. Her tail was wrapped around her back legs, and her front hooves were scrunched up against her chest, but otherwise she was comfortable.

Okay, Smoke thought to herself as she laid her head down. Okay, I'm good. Nice view of the cave, nicely hidden - semi stuck, but nicely hidden - and a stable place. I'm good. And yes, it smells a little funky in here, and it's maybe a little slimy and okay there's kind of a weird plant sticking in through the top into my face, but at least I can get out easily if I need to.

....I think.
