I was thinking... we could have a bunche of short manga-stories... all relating to the one before it. The first story can have the overall plot- kinda thing. xD

scars/marks: a large scar runs from the base of his neck to the base of back, curving under his armpit, and curving once again at the mid back. A tatoo is also on his back, right in between the scars, is the number, "999"
Background: Unknown exactly how he was made, all that is known is that he was "born" after an explosion of chemicals occured at a reasearch Island.

scars/marks: Andrae has a small design going across the side of his neck that looks kinda like  . She usually covers it with hair. She has two scars on her back which are in the shape of wings that go downward and join together into a knot looking-scar at the base of her back. They're almost barely noticible, especially since she normally wears a shirt. They seem more clearer when she gets angry or depressed. She has one more scar- a darker-more-newer one at her cheek, gotten from a fight she was in.
Background:
Andrae was raised in a small town in Flora until the age of 11 when she ran away after being beaten by a drunken father and finding out she had actually been "found and adopted". Since then, she's been making the name of "Illusion" on the streets, theiving and keeping herself alive. She has a low voice and dresses like a boy, and can create "illusion"-like images to distract people as she does her work. Upon meeting Ithellis and not being able to trick him, she's always been curious and stalks him.

Drawer, there's nothing wrong with anything you submitted. o__O I'm sorry if my response made me sound antagonistic in any way. As for the spelling of Gabrial's name, it's traditionally spelled "Gabriel," so I was surprised to see an alternative method. I don't have any problem with religion. I'm an open-minded individual and think people have the right to choose how they make their brain work. But you're saying that he converts to Catholicism, but doesn't take it seriously? For accuracy's sake, Catholicism might not be the best of religions to choose. You can't just "convert"--- I'm confident that there is a long range of processes one must commit to first before being accepted into the Church, especially if not baptised into it as a baby. Depending on the setting of our manga, it may be possible for him to attend church and convert to a certain religion, even if only in name. But Catholicism might not be the best choice.
Shiva, that description sounds really cool! Curse you all and your awesome characters. I wanna draw for you all rather than making my own characters. =w= I guess that's what would happen in this manga anyway, though... XD;

Oops, an additional comment to Shiva:
While it would be fun to each make up our own manga stories and later stitch them together, a short manga story usually takes between 20 and 50 pages... which is a huge project for some of us (as opposed to the one-page-at-a-time approach that this project entails). It's an admireable idea, but not one which can fall under this category. I say feel free to go for it, though. You'd want to make a new topic for that, though. And I would not be able to participate for a long, long while. x__x

Cruzle Oops, an additional comment to Shiva: While it would be fun to each make up our own manga stories and later stitch them together, a short manga story usually takes between 20 and 50 pages... which is a huge project for some of us (as opposed to the one-page-at-a-time approach that this project entails). It's an admireable idea, but not one which can fall under this category. I say feel free to go for it, though. You'd want to make a new topic for that, though. And I would not be able to participate for a long, long while. x__x
Oh wow~ Nevermind then. cause 20-50 pages is... long... XD
Maybe we can have the characters combined into a setting or something then~
Or, we can ask each member that is willing to draw, one page at a time, so the story can have twists and such? {{as in... Cruzle does a page, then ix takes a page, then Drawer, Mil, etc...}} of course, the names mentioned dont have to draw if they dont want ne..
And of course, Cruzle you could always draw for me >> << ninja XD

However, things can and will be changed, altered, and adjusted. We're making a story TOGETHER. Right now we're just getting some basic ideas. No single character is going to stay exactly the way they are, believe me. Especially since how the character is viewed in the eyes of each artist is going to change.

Oh my gosh. I feel like a complete idiot. |D;;; I didn't even meet my own deadline. I have an excuse, but it's more like a bad joke. Feel free to laugh with me... but then again, it might just be funny from my side. sweatdrop
I took a nap at 6:45, figuring that my mom would wake me up for dinner in a half hour or so. Well, I woke up on my own. After sleeping for nine hours. Meaning that I woke up at the bright and early time of... 3:45 AM.

Clothing: I keep thinking that his first scene in the story will be with the overcoat in the picture. It is, however, NOT the only thing that he wears. His outfit and personality in fashion would change every time he appears in the story. You might see him wearing a FRUiTS-esque costume in one episode, and find him wearing jeans and in oversized sweater in the next. It's proof of his versatility.
Persevering Trait: This kid always has something covering his ears, whether it be earmuffs, headphones, or an animal-themed hat. It doesn't mean, however, that he can't hear... (which is a, winkwink, hint that no one thinks he's listening). Also, these would change everytime you see him, too. No design is ever the same.
Personality: He can seem friendly, but really has a cold and calculating personality, as well as a manipulative nature. He's good at deceiving others and lying and feels no qualms about doing either. He seems to have a hidden past that, when he's reminded of it, can send him into a brooding depression, violent rage, or a combination of both. He knows that he's attractive (*cough* I didn't mean for him to look so girly, though) and will happily use the trait to his advantage.
Sexuality: This SO doesn't even seem to be on his mind. Do what you will with him except make him incredibly oversexed. o_O; As I said, it's not on his mind at all.
"Motive": Every character needs a motive. Once the story has a more stable backbone, he will have one. biggrin For now it's to creepily stalk others.
Possibilities:
+ If we stay with the idea of deranged science, he could very well be the result of an experiment for immortality. If this kid is different from others in any physical way, it would be through unchanging age (it would add to his emo angsty bitterness!)
+ I like the idea of secret organizations that drawer was playing with. If that is maintained, then I want this kid to be some sort of... looming listener for the group. The lookout, the one who keeps watch on the streets, and who even keeps an eye over Gabrial (you can never REALLY leave a top-secret organization!)--- Open to changes and suggestions of all shapes and sizes. So should the rest of you. In fact, I'll now open the time for critique, although ideas and new members are and will always be accepted. No one should be afraid to make suggestions no matter the size, as I've already said. Changing names, ages, and ideas... and finally shifting into the drawing stage... is what I'd like to get working on. Thanks!

concerning Gabrial part 1: =O ok, I talked to my mom about "converting" to Catholicism, and she said you had to take a bunch of classes and answer questions right or something, so I thought it'd either be better for...
A) he's given up on himself, but wanted to "save" Abby so had her raised Catholic
or B) was "babtised(sp)" as a baby himself and just "went back" to Catholicism... o-o meh, still playing around with ideas...
oh, and just for the record, the religions stated in the character designs are in no way a reflection of a personal belief (unless it's Christianity. *shrug*) I'm not trying to get anyone to become Catholic or anything. sweatdrop sorry just wanted to make that clear.
about Gabrial part 2: the name "Gabri(e/a)l" can be spelled either way, I just decided on "Gabrial" because I like it better. x3 oh, but Gabrial goes by his real name, he thinks it's too girly. so he usually goes by "Ian" or "Allan" the only person who calls him "Gabrial" is Abby. x3;; and I was thinking his "codename" for the secret organization thingy could have been "GAIN" (it's his initials! =O )
about the mad science Vs. Secret Org: maybe the secret org could have been linked to the science, like maybe the chemicals, body parts (omg!), papers, or whatever could have been what Gabrial sent to other people
about Cedric: heart heart heart I love him! >w<; he's so cute~ ya know, maybe he could actually be friends with Abby or something undercover in efforts to watch over Gabrial. =O (or something :/ I dunno) though somehow I see Abby making fun of him for being so girly. ninja
about Ithellis: woooooooo, spiffy dark person! >w<; lol, I love the "chemical blood" thing. maybe it's lime green or something. O.o;;;

drawer, I love everything you just wrote! D: All of those ideas sound great! Don't worry about the religion thing, either. Just because Cedric is a deceptive liar doesn't mean that I am. AHAHACOUGH. Let me think of a better example... just because Andrae is blonde doesn't mean that Shiva is! Shiva's nowhere NEAR blonde! biggrin See, your characters don't necessarily reflect yourself. So don't worry about it. ^^ I don't think anyone was thinking that.

Umm.... Catholocism is Christianity. It's one of the sub-divisions (I forget the proper term) of it. It uses the bible just like any other....branch of Christianity, it's just that their exact beliefs vary a bit.
I'm no expert, but trust me on this. My dad came from a Catholic family, my mom I believe came from a more Presbyterian family, and my grandmother on my mom's side is currently part of a more New Age-y kind of church.
