Roxanne's ears slowly perked up when Akela began to speak, listening in with.. a little curiosity now, but still not putting any effort into making eye contact. "..You won't make fun of me." He murmured, keeping his eyes pinned on his front paws and nothing else.
When she moved closer and actually touched him, he fidgeted and squirmed in his spot, awkward about all of this physical contact. The fact that she wasn't making fun of him or doing what others usually did just made his fidgeting worse. This was odd. This was weird. Why wasn't she reacting like all the others? "..W-why won't you make fun of me? Others do.. Why aren't you?" Rox' asked, trying to decide whether or not to just get up and leave her.
Damn it all, this was weird. She wasn't teasing him, she was being nice.

"Your my friend. Why would I tease my friend? Why should I tease anyone. I don't see me having much room to throw stones not that I want to anyways. I accept many for who they are. And I like you for you and everything about you,"Akela said giving him a small smile and watching him closely.

Rox' turned to look at Akela for a moment, looking her over before turning his head away. "I'm your friend, huh?" Letting out a soft snort, the male grumbled. He was extremely doubtful of this female's words. He still couldn't wrap his mind around the fact that she was not teasing him, not mocking him, not.. leaving. "..Why do you like me?" He asked, giving a flick of his tail absently. "Or, rather.. what do you like about me?"
He was testing her. It might have been a.. dickish thing to do, but Rox' was not going to just allow her to claim she 'liked' him' without proof. Lots of it. He was not completely sold on the idea of her liking him just yet.

"Well I think your my friend. I guess you dont have to think of me as a friend but I hope you do," Akela said her tail wagging a little. It than stopped at his next couple questions. The seemed a bit harsh to her. She had had these questions asked of her before but how he said it to her seemed like he was getting ready to bite her if she messed up.
"I thought you were funny when I first seen you. Not in a hahaha look at that stupid way but as in like giggle way the good way." She supplied trying to explain what seemed just natural to her. "I do like that even though you have been teased in the past you have put it behind you so it doesn't bug you and you seem to be ok with yourself despite the teasing though i'm sure it wasn't always like that."

Roxanne was fine as he listened to her talk, actually starting to relax just a little.. Until Akela brought up the teasing. The fact that she spoke about it - not him, her - made him lose it.
"You think it doesn't bug me?! All that damn teasing?!" He snapped out, resisting the urge to let out a snarl as he pulled away from her. "How do you know I've put all of that behind me? How the hell do you know?! " Sitting up, he took a few steps away from her, finally making eye contact - this time, however, with an angry glare. "Maybe I haven't!" He whipped his head to the side with a quick huff, aiming his glare at the ground before turning it back on her, teeth bared for once. "Yeah! You know what? I haven't!" Slitting his eyes into a sharper glare, he added on one more thing, "I haven't put it behind me, you stupid girl." With that, Rox' finally let out a snarl.
He resisted the urge to leave just yet, wanting to see what her reaction would be like. She damn well deserved this, with all of those damned lies she was tossing about. Things like 'I like you' and 'I like how you look'? Pfft, right. Like anyone honestly thought that about him.

Akela thought she had spoken right until he suddenly snapped. It scared her cause she didn't know what just happened. She shrank back her body blocking the exit for him but that was only because she was getting ready to bolt.
Her eyes grew wide at the glare he sent her. If looks could hurt she would have been cut very deep physically as she was emotionally. Her lip began to tremble as he seemed to get angrier and angrier. Tears built up in her eyes till she couldn't see anything at all. At his snarl they broke and ran down her cheeks like a busted dam.
"I'm sorry....I do like you.. I like you...I'm sorry," Her voice trembling as tears streamed down her face. "I didn't know I'm sorry. It had seemed....I'm sorry. I am stupid I'm sorry" she cried as more tears fell her body shaking from her sobs. Her vision blurring more times than she could count. "I do like you," she said with one last cry before bolting out from under the tree and into the pouring rain. Not caring where she went or what she ran into.

What? Why was she saying sorry over and over again? Rox' watched Akela like a hawk as she spoke, honestly quite confused. His muzzle began to scrunch up as he eyed her, trying to figure this all out. Why was she.. was she crying? What the hell?! She was the one who had been lying and flinging out dishonest words, so why was she crying? It just didn't make sense to him. Still glaring, the male followed Akela with his eyes as she bolted.
Why was she.. oh. She liked him like... that?
Oh. She.. oh. Slowly, Rox' began to realize how much of a d**k he had been. Giving a shake of his head and blinking, trying to clear his head. Wow. Wow, all of that yelling on his part was extremely uncalled for. That.. He.. Well, damn. What a mess.
"Akela, wait!" He quickly squirmed his way out of the tangle of roots and followed after her. "Akela, wait! Wait up! Hold on, please!"

Akela ran and ran while crying in the pouring rain. She could hear Rox behind her calling. She finally tripped over a root which sent her sailing infont of a tree landing in the mud.
She stopped running now. There wasn't a point he had the time to catch up on her. So she laid their crying. Mud splattered all over her fur. Her eyes still big watched him as she shrank down like a submissive did to an alpha and again said "i'm sorry."

Finally catching up to Akela, Rox' took a moment to quickly look around for any signs of the panther - hopefully that blasted thing wasn't around anymore - before approaching her. He hesitated as he tried to think of what to do, standing there anxiously in the rain before shaking his head, tossing aside the plan to think about things - for once - and just letting things happen. "No, look. I.. uh... I'm sorry." He said, leaning down to give her cheek a nudge. This was awkward. No, wait. This was more than a little awkward for him. All of this was, really. "I should.. not have snapped. At you, you know, like... like I did. It was wrong of me."
"Y-you obviously didn't mean any harm, bringing up the.. the past teasing. I shouldn't have snapped like that. At you. Sorry... Uh.." Pulling back, Rox' squirmed a little where he stood. "And... I didn't know you.. er, felt that way." Giving a soft and awkward, awkward, awkward fake cough to clear his throat, he flicked his ears back, tried to ignore the growing blush on his face. No one had ever really felt that way about him before. "You know.. Uh. About... me."

Akela let him nudge her cheek. She watched him closely. She had never had anyone snap at her like that in all her life and it frightened her some. She sniffled and said "I'm sorry too, I should have thought more of it but you seemed when I first met you were comfortable in your own skin and than when you mentioned teasing in the past I put the two together thinking that you somehow over came that." She wiped a tear away with her paw.
She rubbed the top of her head against this chin speaking softly. "I do. I know it seems soon but my momma always did say I felt things fast and decided fast. I'm sorry, I have probably made you feel uncomfortable and you're thinking I'm some creepy vixen."

Roxanne allowed her to nuzzle him and move in closer, resisting the urge to squirm away and simply bolt. Letting out a soft grumble from deep in his throat, he tried to let himself relax. A little... A lot.. Enough so that he would stop thinking about just shoving Akela aside and running away. Rox' took in a breath before releasing it slowly, closing his eyes. Trying to relax.
"..D-do you want to... go out sometime? On a... uh.. date?" Was that what normal pairs.. er, couples, did? Was that what couples did?.. Wait, were they a couple? If not, what were they?! Were they friends? Acquaintances?
...Oh lord, what on earth was he doing?

Akela sat there starting to feel a little better with Rox so close. Her eyes were closed and the tears slowly stopped seeking out from under her eye lashes. Her body slowly stopped tremblings and she finally stilled. She didnt even mind that they were being rained on because she was starting to feel ok thanks to rox even though he didnt know.
Her ears twitched listening to him stutter and try and ask her a question. What was he trying to ask? Out somewhere? Date? Her ears perked up at this. He just asked her out on a date. She pulled back so he could see her face. "I'd love to go out on a date with you,"She said happily with a big smile on her face.

"Oh?" More than a little startled at Akela's reply, Rox' pulled himself back slightly, eying her. Looking, searching, scanning that face of hers for any signs of her answer being a joke. Seeing that.. well, she wasn't kidding and dead serious, he let his lips tug into a small half-hearted smile. It was an awkward smile, but hell, it was better than the usual scowl he had on his face. "..Oh. Alright then." That said, he gave a slight wag of his tail.
"Should we get you back home?.. Or should I meet your parents? Or.. s-something? Er.." He.. had no idea what he was doing. No clue, really.
Giving a sudden shake of his head as a few rain drops managed to make their way into his ears, he huffed. "..I personally think it'd be nice to get out of this damn rain. You?"
Aaaand the usual scowl was back over his lips.

She watched him back up and examine her. She didn't know what he was looking for but her facial expression never changed. Her face brightened when he gave her half a smile. That was progress right? She would take it as progress.
"I am a bit of a wanderer at the moment so there really isn't a home to return to. Um You could meet my parents if you want. It would be my mother and step father since I am not sure where my real one is," She said leaving it totally up to him. She wouldn't push him she had a feeling it would scare him if she did.
She giggled. "Yeah your right. Should we go back to the tree or should we find somewhere else to hide?"

"Ah.." Roxanne gave a quick blink - surprised yet again - when Akela offered up the chance. "If you want." She was letting him decide whether or not to meet her parents? Oh.. well then. He hadn't expected that, nor had he been prepared for such an answer.
"Hm. We could find a more comfortable spot somewhere nearby, I'm sure. We don't want to get caught by that damn panther again." Putting that aside for a moment, he stood up, giving a cautious glance around - again, you could never be too careful with a possible big cat around - before starting to walk.
"About your parents.. Right. Alright, how about I meet them.." Rox' tried to come up with an idea for the possible meeting, brows furrowing. "..Maybe after our first date?... Uh, if that's alright with you! Would that be alright with you?" He let out a soft grumble, trying to look for a place for the two of them to rest for the night. Mm.. no. Not overnight, actually, just until the rain finally let up.. But if it was overnight? Well.. okay then. All that mattered was not being soaking wet and muddy. Cuddling and snuggling and.. er, romantic things were the last thing on his mind. This was all awkward enough for him right now, thank you very much. "I.. think it would be good to meet them." Rox' added, somewhat distracted by the new task at hand. "You know, if we're planning on doing the whole.. uh, dating... thing."
