Himeko was just about to apologize until she felt herself being grabbed and wrenched away from the ground, yelping as they hit the ground. "Whats wr-" She turned around, eyes widening in shock, her mouth opening to let out a scream that did not escape. A crocodile stared straight at her, however it turned to lunge itself at Kaname instead.
"Kaname!" She rushed forward, attempting to try and stop the creature from hurting her friend and her crush.

Kaname winced as he noticed his leg happened to be in the mouth of the crocodile as it was slowly pulling him towards the water. He knew once that happened it was pretty much over. Using the momentum of the dragging Kaname leaned forward and reached his paws for the crocodile eyes. If he could get to the eyes the crocodile might let him go. It was for once he wished he was a cat and could extend his claws. He noticed Himeko seemed to be running over to help. “Himeko smack his snout” he said. If she could hit his nostrils it was another way to make the crocodile let him go

Himeko was frozen in place when she saw Kaname being dragged by the crocodile. Her eyes stared at Kaname, fear rushing through her. No, she couldn't... he was going to die but she was so scared.... What if she messed up? What if the crocodile hurt him more because he was angry if she touched him?
NO!
She couldn't let him die! No! Fighting back against her tears she threw herself out the crocodile, gritting her teeth as her paw lashed out at it's snout, claws unsheathed. She was not going to let it hurt Kaname! Even if he wasn't hers she wouldn't let it hurt her friend!

Kaname wrenched his leg out as the crocodile finally let go of him and clenched his eyes closed. He had to get them out of there before the crocodile decided it wanted another attempt at them but as soon as he stood his back right hind leg buckled and he was sent crashing down on to the ground. Inwardly he started to panic flashbacks of another similar time when his life was in danger flashed around in his head. Outwardly he seemed calm as ever the only evidence of some thing wrong was his slightly elevated pace of breathing.
The crocodile lunged at them again since they where so near the water. Only this time Kaname, going mostly on instinct kicked up off the ground holding Himeko, the got about 25 yards away before Kaname crashed them back on to the ground. He made no mention to move again since the crocodile would not come after them.

Himeko cried out when she was lifted in air and dropped down in seconds, her body shuddering with pain from the impact. She wobbled upwards, managing to untangle herself from Kaname and wince as her sore body nearly dropped her again. The smell of blood was to much, her eyes bringing her to Kaname's leg. She couldn't see the beast anywhere anymore, but Kaname had been injured gravely.
"Kaname!" She yelped, ears flicking backwards. What was she to do? She wasn't a shaman! She was a carer! She didn't know how to help him! She was panicking, blue cat eyes wide and disbelieving.
"K-Kaname... I'll get help! My tribes close by, I'll get someone!" She stammered out. Who would she get? Did it matter! She needed someone!

Kaname barely registered Himeko’s words, as his adrenaline slowly began wearing off and the pain came seeping through. He knew that Kemet had yet to get and priests, their version of other foxes shamans and even if Kaname came from such a family he was in no condition to heal him self even if he could. His powers never seemed to work on himself. However Horus was the elder and as such could be substituted as a shaman. “Horus… get Horus. Tell… tell him I’ll meet you guys at the temple. He should know what one I’m talking about” Kaname pointed out.

"Y-Yes!" She nodded, turning to look at Kaname one last time before leaving. She licked his cheek, nuzzling him softly. "Please hang in there, I'll be back soon." She said before dashing off to find Horus, going as fast as her thin legs could let her. Horus was always in the same places, or so she hoped, she would find him in no time. Right?

Horus yawned being jolted out of sleep by a weird feeling. He wondered what it was. All of his tribe members should have been asleep other than the scouts who took turns being awake at night incase something happened. With another yawn he got up and stretched. Sleep it looked like was going to avoid him for the time being and there were always other things he could do to make himself tired. As he walked around he noticed Himeko didn’t seem to be where she normally slept. He frowned a bit at that.
Kaname took a deep sigh and wondered why he always got into these things. After all he had gotten pretty injured a few weeks ago and it had kept him rather earthbound. Now he got attacked by a crocodile. He looked up at the now completely dark sky and wished Himeko a safe journey. Atum was no longer watching over the tribe as he had no control over the land at night. This just left one deity… who wasn’t really for watching over the living…. but perhaps this one night Osirus would make an exception. With a deep breath Kaname hauled himself up to his feet again. He had said meet him at the temple… the only problem was getting there.

After a few minuets, maybe more, Himeko finally appeared before the campground. Himeko jolted forward, her feet not meant for running but she survived. Joy swept her when she found Horus seemingly making sure everyone was where they belonged, and of course she wasn't. Why had she stirred trouble? Kaname would be fine if it wasn't for her. Guilt swept over the fox, her ears moving back against her head as she stopped her run.
If she had stayed in bed he'd be safe.
This was all her fault. If she hadn't just moved, if she had stayed where she was supposed to say he'd be safe! Sure, she wouldn't have seen him, but it was obvious she was bad for him. She had let him get hurt.
"Horus." She called out, approaching the male with drooped ears. "Kaname! He, he... got hurt. We were exploring and a crocodile hurt him! He said meet him at the temple!" She cried out, fear in her heart and eyes. "Please, help him!" She lowered her head, hair falling in front of her eyes. She would not follow Horus back, she'd stay here with Hollow. She'd stay away from Kaname. He didn't need her ruining his life anymore.
"I-I'm sorry, he's h-hurt because of m-me."

Horus blinked a bit as he was suddenly met with a very emotional Himeko. He frowned a bit at Kaname being back in Kemet lands but quickly shook the thought out of his head. Kemet was Kaname’s home too and the nebula colored fox had promised him self he would have a talk with Kaname if he ever returned. He looked over at Himeko and noticed the fear and the worry in her eyes. He had wondered when Himeko had met the rather confusing phim but shook his head and clear his thoughts.
“Himeko, don’t punish yourself. It wasn’t your fault. This was bound to happen to anyone. In fact I don’t know the full story but you can’t blame your self for the things that happen. Kaname could have been attacked at any time, although because it happened this time you where there to get him help. What would have happened if you hadn’t been there and he had still been attacked?” Horus said adopting his elder attitude. “Besides there is still a lot you can do for him. Carers have special magic that doesn’t only come out when you are working with kits and bcrs. They also help the priest… oops I did it again. They also help the shaman with healing the injured….Just by being there they lend their energy to the sick and injured to help them recover quicker.” He would have probably mentioned Kaname just had a thing for attracting injures but he figured Himeko probably couldn’t handle that at the moment. “Lets go see Kaname at the temple alright.”

Himeko watched her elder, drinking up every word he said. She respected her elder, unlike her sister. She loved Kemet, though he sister hated being in the tribe. Hollow liked the cold, she liked darkness and quiet. But, she had followed Himeko here to be with her. Ever since she had met Horus, Himeko had respected the male and admired him. Hollow respected him, but not in the same way. Himeko trusted Horus, nodding her head after he was done. If he said it then she believed it.
"Y-Yes...I'm... I'm sorry." She whimpered, looking away. Horus was right, she couldn't handle much more. She felt so guilty, though Horus had helped relieve some of the weight of worry and fear. She turned her head, ready to follow her elder.
"It's his leg, it was bitten pretty deep."

Horus smiled seeing that Himeko seemed to be a little “its okay. It’s understandable you would be very worried. Kaname will be fine. He’s a very tough modiphim to take down.” Horus reassured as he began to lead the way to the temple. He looked up at the night time sky and took a deep breath before stepping out of the unprotected desert. However he had a sinking suspicion their way to the temple of healing left by the kemet humans would be with out incident.
Kaname collapsed on the temple steps still in slight belief he had even managed to get all the way here. He felt bad as he looked up at the expansive and elaborate carved ceiling. He had wanted to get closer to Himeko to figure out this sense of peace and belonging he had felt towards her and he had probably scared her. He should have moved the both of them when she had first said she had spotted something. He faintly wondered if she would come back with Horus.

Himeko hesitated, ears flipping back once more. She didn't know if she should follow though, how could she face Kaname again? Though it would be cruel just to leave him there, something she was incapable of doing. Quickly, she hurried behind Horus, looking away from him. She didn't know what to say yet, or rather, what more to apologize for. Where was Hollow anyway? Had she not been waken? Did Hollow not notice her absence? Or maybe she had snuck off with Katsu again.
Maybe.

Kaname began licking his leg and clearing off all the blood. Blood wasn’t appealing to him but he could at least clean it up so it looked better. His ears suddenly perked up as he heard something and he turned to face in that direction. He smiled seeing Himeko and Horus walking up the temple steps.
“Don’t you even think about getting up on your feet” Horus said in a stern tone and walked over to look at the wound. With a sigh he shook his head. He really should get on that note of finding a shaman. The priests where able to call forth small magics and heal wounds with the aid of herbs. In Kemet they had watched the humans and some times wrapped the wounds in a strange cloth to keep it better protected from infection. “Well I’ll go find what I need. You stay right where you are”

Himeko watched Horus, nodding as he spoke. She moved away from Kaname, eyeing his wound with grief. What had she done? The poor Phim... Her eyes flicked over to watch Horus one last time before awkwardly shuffling her feet and looking away. She should have tried harder to help him escape...
"I'm sorry Kaname, I should have left when you said we should. I just... I just thought I was seeing things..." She whimpered, ears flipping backwards.
"I'll be here while Horus helps you heal, then, I'll go away, okay?"
