 Rai Uchiha "I won't go quietly..." "Wait." it was to late, she had already hit the door and into the hokages office. Rai made a quick jog to her and helped her up. "Slow down speed. I know your excited." He said with a small laugh while helping her up.

 "We don't have time to slow down!" Kotone shouted, flailing her arms. "Mr. Hokage-Sensei-Senpai-San-Sama-Kun, we need to be assigned to our permanent ninja squads! Preferably together, if possible!"

Rai Uchiha "I won't go quietly..." Rai sighed a bit. "Sorry Lord Hokage... Hopefully we didn't disturb you." He said a bit embarrassed. He looked around the Hokages office, and it seemed very plain. It was the first time he had been in the office so he must held his expectations a bit to high.

During his time watching the village, he was shocked to hear all the noise coming from down the hall until the door slammed open. Turning from the window, Vash could see the young girl skid across his floor as another rushed to her aid. Vash looked at the two intruders with a displeased look. For some reason they decided the best way to be excepted as real ninja, was to make themselves look like children. Vash sat in his seat and called out "Why is it that you think it is exceptionable to stampede down the hallway, practically brake down my door, and scuff my floor with your face dear?"

"We need to be assigned to our teams, sir," Kotone explained, grin shining through despite her profusely bleeding nose. "Sorry to barge in like that... I got a little too excited." She laughed nervously and scratched her head.

Rai Uchiha "I won't go quietly..." Rai smacked his hand on his face. 'baka'. He thought thinking how worse the situation could get. He was already tired as it was, so what else could go wrong. "Yes... We both got a bit excited..." He said so she wouldn't be the only one to blame. Loyalty came first so if one got into trouble, then both would get in trouble.

Kotone stared at Rai. "You didn't do anything wrong, moron! I was the one who bursted in here, right?" She frowned and crossed her arms over her chest. "I'd rather take all the blame than see you get punished for something you didn't do."

Rai Uchiha "I won't go quietly..." "Well we came here together. Plus I can't let you take all of the blame. I didn't try to stop you." He said making a valid argument. Well whatever the punishment was, he couldn't be to bad, nothing worse than his clan's punishment he hoped.

"Rai Uchiha and Kotone Shinra, I was expecting you." vash slid a box of tissue in the direction of Kotone. "I figured you would need this." Vash then set his eyes on Rai. "Tell me Rai, what is it that makes you protect this girl?" Asking him directly in front of her had to be embarrassing, but Vash wanted to know.

"Thanks." Kotone slipped a tissue from the box and held it to her nose. That scene was embarrassing, she thought, blushing behind the tissue. But Dad always says that making a flashy entrance is a good way to get recognised. Though I'm not sure if that's a good thing anymore..."

Rai Uchiha "I won't go quietly..." Rai looked down for a moment then gained the courage he could. "She's friend of mine. We came here together. As friends, comrades, allies, we fall together Lord Hokage." He spoke from his heart, something he rarely did or something he hardly liked to do. He kept his feelings private most of the time. To shy to actually display them to people. But the Hokage had a charisma around him that could not be denied. It just called out to people to follow him, the man in front of him was a natural leader.

Something akin to a blush covered Kotone's face, making her as red as the blood that dribbled down her nose. She couldn't help but turn her gaze away from Rai, not wanting him to see her crimson cheeks.

Vash smiled at his response. He was a perfect candidate to take charge. "I see the will of fire in you Rai. Any man that will step in front danger to protect the people he cares about is a true ninja. We are all we have, each one of us make up the fire that moves on forever." Vash's vision blurred for a moment as he felt his reality slipping.

"It's just us," Kotone said quickly, removing the tissue from her nose. "You see, Rai and I met at the Academy and sort of hit it off. We'd like to be on a team together, but we need a third member and a leader." She leaned back in her seat and sighed, gaze returning to Rai. "I hope we get teamed with someone we'd get along with..."
