Greg stood compleatly still, watching carefully the children in the room. He watched as Yuki embraced the girl named Nao...so this is the girl that Yuki was trying to find when i ran into her.....He took a long look at the wreckage of the building, trying to think of ways to rebuild without magic, yet very few came to him. He cleared his throat breifly and remained expressionless. "Good to see you Yuki. I was worried that harm would come to you and your friends after we last met." he said, a small look in his gray eye as if to say not to reveal who he was, and what he was.

A tear fell from Nao's eyes as Yuki embraced her. "Yuki! I-I'm fine!" She said hesitantly after hugging her friend. Nao glanced at Greg. "You know each other?" She asked, hoping that Yuki wouldn't comment on how she wasn't being shy, or silent around this man she barely knew. Nao saw something flicker in Greg's eyes....but what was it? The only thing she knew was that she couldn't trust him..

Greg still had a look around the room, something felt very off to him about it. When his gaze returned to Nao, he put on a half-smile. "We ran into each other a while back. I heard about the battle, and wanted to make sure everybody was okay" he replied with ease. He had no problem twisting the truth into something that would be believable. His only concern would be Yuki's response to his presence....and of course whatever he felt odd about.

Kaida walked boldly up to the new man "Who're you?" she asked with pure curiosity. Her six-year-old mind not thinking to be cautious of the soldier. She stared up at him like he was a new kid here to play with her for a little bit.

Yuki looked up at Greg, confusion in her eyes before they lit up with recognition. "Oh...you're that man..." she said her voice now a bit warmer, but still tainted with distrust. This man obviously didn't want Nao to know his true identity. Yuki wasn't sure what reason he had for this, but it seemed important to him and he had brought Nao back to her as promised, so she would keep his secret...for now. "I'm glad to see you're doing well. Thank you for bringing Nao home."

Greg looked kindly at the little girl with a smile. "I'm a...friend of Yuki. I was just bringing Nao home." He answered with a smile. He looked around the orphanage and frowned. "Glad to help Yuki, while I'm here, would you mind if I stuck around for a while and maybe...helped rebuild?" he asked, examining the wreckage that was probably a large room behind them.

Nao crossed her arms. "Excuse me!? I'm still here! And stop talking to me like a child! I'm seventeen for gods' sake! And you-" She turned to Greg. "I don't care that you helped Yuki! I don't trust you." Nao said harshly. She turned back to Yuki. "I can take care of myself. I don't need you to protect me." She said. It was the most she had said in over 4 years to someone other than the orphans. Nao turned away and a pang of guilt hit her. But they didn't know her. Nao ducked under the fallen board and walked outside of the orphanage and leaned against the charred brick wall.

Greg studied Nao as she had walked away....she could be a potential enemy..have to make sure i stay on everybody's good side before i put out who i am...especially to her.....his gaze returned to Yuki, and his smile dropped. "I'm sorry I wasn't able to put a barrier around the entire city.." he muttered so that Nao couldn't hear. "I hope you can forgive me enough to let me help rebuild...in a week, on my orders, a squad of blue medics and soldiers will come in as a relief crew. But until that time, if you'll allow me, magic is only used by myself in dire situations." he explained, the nagging feeling that something was wrong in snowtown other then the destruction..it was more of an...unsettlement in the balance of things.

"Nao! "Yuki called after the girl, clearly upset herself. "I didn't mean it like that! Come back..." Yuki trailed off hopelessly. Why did things always end up like this? She stared after Nao for a moment before turning back to Greg. "I suppose you can stay. But let me make it clear for you right now, I don't trust you yet. It doesn't seem like the Bluecoats want to harm Snowtown, on the contrary it seems like you all want to actually help us, but if there is anything I've learn in life it's that looks can be deceiving. So I'm warning you now that if I find that you've harmed any one of the orphans here in even the tiniest way, you'll be wishing you had never even been born!" Yuki then turned around and walked back towards the kitchen, mumbling something inaudible under her breath.

Greg nodded silently. He took a long look around the orphange and sighed. "Where would you like repairs to begin?" he asked Yui as he entered the area he assumed with a kitchen. "From what can tell. the supports are sturdy enough, but it looks like your foundation is starting to break up...and if that happens, the entire building will come down." he said, studying everything around him......these poor children....i know how it is to not have parents....no...I don't know. I had parents, but they were killed when i left for the army..does that make me an orphan as well?.....

Kaida had followed Greg into the kitchen, knowing she shouldn't go out of the orphanage to follow Nao without and adult or an older kids' permission. "Can you fix our beds?" she asked. "Some of the bunks have fallen..." And some of my friends have to sleep on the floor, now!

"We have almost always had hard times, but it's only been worse since the attack." Yuki explained, beginning to chop vegetables once more. "This whole place is in a general state of disrepair, so I don't really have anything that's at the top of "fixing" list. Just pick out a job yourself and go from there." She finished as she dumped the chopped veggies into a bubbling pot on the stove.

Against the commanders orders Lieutenant Itaku Obichi found his way to SnowTown's orphanage, his mind was heavy and his emotions were proving to be extremely difficult to keep under check. He was beginning to feel useless and unnoticed perhaps that is what caused him to stray from orders so much. He knocked on the heavy wooden door and waited a moment for anyone to answer. He heard nothing and made his way into the building. As he tightened the scarf around his face as he called out into the dark.
"Hello is there anyone in here...?" His voice was one of wary suspicion, he felt at any moment he could be attacked.....

Greg smiled at the little girl and nodded. "I suppose that can be my first proj-" he stopped and froze at the voice of Itaku. He hadn't known him very well back in the base, but he couldn't let his cover be blown yet. "I uh...guess i'll start with that." he muttered, watching the doorway that lead to the front door....why is he here? There was a complete retreat for both armies....
