Unia curled into herself, faintly wishing Doku was here. Why'd he leave her? Why wasn't he beside her? Wasn't that what mates were for? He had just...left. The hurt grew, expanding as she realized she was alone. Where was he? She couldn't see past the memories, but she knew there was no warmth beside her. She let out a choked sob, ears pressing against her head. Yuki shivering and licking cuts and dark..dark bruises. Runaiu tearing at herself, just wanting to tear the skin off of herself that she thought was so ugly. Her mother mocking Runaiu and Yuki, but praising Unia. Her father throwing Yuki around.
She didn't want these memories.
Her eyes snapped clear, the memories gone. Slowly, she rose from her curled up position. She didn't see Doku, she had assumed he left. Quietly, the shaken vixen lowered her head, closing her eyes in shame.
How could she help others if she couldn't help herself?

((aw i was going to have doku cuddle her as she started to sob oh well.))
Doku watched Unia get up and look around. It was like she was looking for something but couldnt see it. He quickly got up and got to her. He pulled her into him and asked "What are you looking for Unia?" He knew he should have just left cause she didn't want to be around him or so he thought. But he had to make sure she was ok and could see before he went. He hoped he wouldnt upset her more by pulling her close when a few moments before she had wanted him to back off.

Unia jumped when he grew closer, eyes looking upwards as she slowly registered he was there. She looked at the ground, whimpering softly not meeting his eyes. "You." She whimpered softly, tail thumping against the ground. "You left." She added, slowly moving away from him and crouching low to the ground, backing away. "I didn't mean to freak out...I'm sorry."

Doku shook his head. "I didn't leave love. I could never leave you even if you wanted me to. You didn't want me touching you so I backed off to give you space but I didn't leave. I couldn't leave. I love you and honestly want you as my life-mate. I want you happy, safe and to get whatever you want." He said looking at her. She had pulled away and he didn't follow letting her decided what she wanted.

Life-mate?
Her head whipped around, black eyes staring at him. He wanted her as his life-mate? Her? Did he realize what he was saying? He'd be stuck with her, until something happened. She didn't know what to say, didn't know what to do either. She looked down at the ground, shaking her head softly.
"I want to be your life-mate...but haven't you noticed how much of a fool I am?"

"I want you as my life-mate if you will take me." He told her softly in a loving voice. "How are you a fool? I haven't seen you do anything foolish at all" He told her.

Unia looked up, smiling weakly. "Did you not just see me? That was foolish." She said, referring to the fit she had withdraw into. She looked at the ground, nodding slightly. "I would, but...we need to speak to Elder Conundrum. We can never have kids or call each other life-mates unless we ask my Elder."

Doku looked at her. "We all have our weak moments so that is not foolish." He told her even though he would never let himself break down like that in front of her. Not because it was weak but because he didn't want to look unmanly in front of her. He listened to her talk about the elder. He didn't like how he needed someone elses say about his mate but didn't tell her that. "Sure I'll meet him,"

She looked up, tilting her head. "Really?" He'd meet her elder? Her tail wagged softly, knowing that Conny was one of the nicer Elders, hopefully he'd allow their life-mating. Slowly, the grey vixen moved ever so slightly closer to him, ears pinned backwards. "You mean it?"

"Yes really. Why would I lie?"He asked watching her and hoping she would come closer. He was a little happier when she took a step or two closer but he still wanted her closer.

Her tail wagged happily, smiling at her mate. He'd actually go that far for her? The vixen forgot about her episode earlier, instead moving until she could snuggle into Doku's side. "Thank you." She mewled, rubbing her cheek against his.

Doku let out a sigh as Unia finally came closer. He rubbed his cheek against hers closing his eyes in contemptment. "Your welcome my dear. Now lets get you back to your tribe so you can talk to your elder,"He said before nudging her and that direction and heading off.((end?))

She paused, turning around and frowning softly. "What would happen though? We live apart, where would the kits stay?" She questioned. They needed to work these things out if they wanted to speak to her Elder.

Doku gently touches her cheek. "Half could stay with me and half with you?" He asked. He thought things over. "Maybe I would live outside your tribe lands." he stated hoping to make her happy and hoping it would work.
