Mau wasn't sure what was funny about flounder, but he shrugged it off. It wasn't that important. "Well, if I fail, it's because I don't have a good teacher." He gave Nyx a playful smile. "So remember, my success reflects your abilities too. Of course, I have faith in you."

"I suppose I can't just let you drown. I'm going to need a competent lab assistant one of these days, and Newton won't cut it." Nyx chuckled and finished off her soda. They were still rivals, even if they did have decent picnics, swim lessons, good natured battles, and secret telling time.

Mau chuckled at that. "And we can't have you being thrown in the brig for attempted murder." He looked at what was left around them. "Mmnh. I suppose we should be heading back."

"Since we're out of lemonade, I'll agree." Nyx grabbed the crutches sitting nearby and pushed herself up. The Meganium stood and started walking next to her trainer, towards the vehicle.
