"Dressed in your Halloween jammies all ready?" she teased as she stood from the table. Scooping her up from the floor, Melody held her chibi to her as she moved to the bed. Then, playfully, she dropped her on the mattress.
"Haven't checked for monsters yet, figured I'd wait for you to show up." Patting her head, the blonde moved for the closet to check for monsters. When she found nothing, under the bed was checked again and still nothing was found.
Then, with a smile she moved to sit on the edge of the bed. "No monsters, sweetie."

Istas squeaked as she was picked up and giggled as she was carried and dropped on her mattress. "Yes! daddy got them for me." She said with a grin. "It's October after all! What's the fun in only wearing them once?"
She watched Melody check for monsters. When the report was all clear she grinned, "Good!" She said with a nod, "No mean ol' monsters!"
She wiggled under her covers and grabbed Mr. Bunkins, her favorite stuffed bunny who was probably as old as she was and curled up. "Bed time story?" She asked softly looking at Melody as she snuggled in.

"Of course a story, I promised after all." Standing from the bed, she covered the girl up and tucked her in then grabbed the taped up book.
Sitting back on the edge of the bed, she curled around the little girl who was snuggling her favourite rabbit. Opening the book she began to read, her voice soft and comforting. Perhaps it was part of the reason Istas seemed to enjoy Melody's company over others, her gentle tone that made it easy to fall into the lull of sleep.
When the blonde reached the end of the book her charge was well into sleep and the sight made her smile with fondness. "Good night, my Chibi." Leaning over the Vietnamese teen kissed the top of the sleeping child's head then moved to the table to gather the dirty dishes and the picture that had been colored. With one last glance to the child, Melody turned off the light and headed back down the stairs.
