He smiled and silently thanked her. "Thank you." he said both for what she said and for the coffee and took a sip once it was full. he wondered if she wanted him to leave so she could get some sleep or if she wanted to stay up and talk some more he was really trying to gauge her reaction.

 Lacy sat down again "no problem." she rested her head agianst her hand. so what brought you to Reeds?"

He smiled after a moment "Well after twenty long years of being a soldier I wanted some rest and relaxation more or less, and reeds offers that when I'm not working that is." he said smiling. he took a couple more small sips of his coffee. and rested his cheek on one of his gloved fists. "You" he asked after another moment.

Lacy brought her legs up off the floor resting on the chair cushion with her. "uh...I needed some time away." she said frowning slightly. She forced a smile back on and asked "why are your daughters here? What are their abilities?"

He nodded and smiled for a moment "Fair enough." he said and then pondered the question. "Well, their half Naga, and are the generic telepathic set of twins." he joked somewhat. he then smiled and added "And, I wanted my girls to get a good education as well." he said after a moment.

"I have only met one of them, and even that wasn't formal. What are their names? Hopefully I won't have to see them in my office." she teased lightly though meaning every word of it.

He chuckled a bit at the joke and knew it was sincere. 'Their names are Anastasia and Emily though everyone calls them by there nick names." he said

Lacy was starting to feel the effects of her work-aholic habit as she stiffled a yawn and guessed "Anna and Em?" she rested her chin on the armrest looking over at Devlin for an answer. She smiled some and drank some more coffee.

He nodded and wondered if he should get going "Yes." he said smiling and took yet another sip of coffee. still wondering whether or not to go and let her sleep even though he was really enjoying the discussion. and idle banter and he couldn't deny that she was easy on the eyes as well.

her smile was warm and honest when she said "they're very beautiful from what i've seen, I'd watch out if I were you." her eyebrows furrowed in question "why is their mother also here?"

"No their mother isn't here, and I've already had something of a heart attack from them.' he said smiling then sighed for a moment and slumped in his chair "Their mother last i knew, was on a fashion tour with her boyfriend." he said.

Lacy winced at his reply. "forgive me, I....I should not have brought it up." now she felt a bit uneasy from inquiring something personal like that from him. "sorry." she mumbles hoping he wouldn't give her an answer, just move on with a different topic

He smiled and nodded "it's alright, so whats your favorite type of weather by chance?" he asked after a moment rainy weather was his own favorite type of weather. and his favorite season was winter most of all.

it didn't take Lacy long to reply. "warm weather. My favorite is nighttime in the summer and there's a rain shower/lightning storm" she laughed a bit and wondered "why do you ask?"

He smiled chuckling and wondered whether or not He should mention what he had on his mind. "Oh, no reason, but then again ti might be because I might plan a date if your willing?" he added hesitantly with a smile.
