Another happy house, this one had little jack-o-lantern lights hung up around it like Christmas lights, and a path lined with pumpkins. Faiya eagerly followed the pumpkin-guided road and marched up to the door, expectantly holding her pumpkin bucket out and raceing two backs of watermelon pop rocks from a man dressed up as a pumpkin - he even had a pumpkin for a head... wait, was that real?!? The toddler booked it back to her mother at the end of the path.

Everything here at this house was so bright and shiny! Faiya saw children running around and playing hide-and-seek, and was sorely tempted to join in. One ook from her mother, however, kept her from asking if she could play too, and instead she approached one of the kids and asked for a treat, coming (reluctantly) back with a bag of Doritos. "Let's keep going, Mama!" she chirped cheerfully.

The boy collapsed in the front yard of another house, his breath coming in ragged heaves as he rolled over on his bag. His blonde hair fell around his head in a golden, shiny halo in the grass. He barely paid attention to the over-decorated house or the three witched, trying to focus on catching his breath. He barely moved as the two ladies made their way over to him, barely looking up as they stopped above him.
"Looks like someone had quite a scare." One of them said, giggling as she bent down, dropping a bag of Skittles into his pail. "Maybe we could get tips from whoever scared him! The girl giggled, spinning around.
"Maybe." the other one huffed, glaring down at the boy who was mussing up her lawn. She nudged the boy with her foot, trying to urge the boy off her lawn. "Get up." she said. her voice harsh as she kicked at the lad again.
"Oh, stoppit! The poor dear looks tired. Here, let me help you up." the other psuedo-witch said, smiling at the boy as she helped him to his feet. She patted his head, then returned back to her seat near the house.
"Thank you...." Amaranth murmured before shuffling off, his legs aching.

Again with the creepy schoolhouse; why had they managed to find another one of these? Faiya tentatively edged toward the children, because these ones weren't staring quite so badly as the others had been, and came back to her mother barely hanging onto a bowl that held a ton of gold.... and a scary looking fish.
"Mama! They said it's - it's fifteen THOUSAND gold! But that's a piranha. What's a piranha?"
Her mother groaned. She was never taking her children trick-or-treating again.

Back to a normal house again, and Faiya was charging to the door with a delighted grin on her face (having left her mother holding the piranha-and-gold bowl for her, just for a moment), where she met the lady dressed as a witch with her best smile. However... all she got was a stare. A stare that seemed to go on forever. Faiya began to wonder if this was the witch that baked little kids in an oven, and was about to make a run for it when the "witch" dropped a cough drop into her bucket. A COUGH DROP.

This house was frightening. Even Faiya knew better than to go inside when the scary man asked her. Instead, she turned right around and ran back to her mother.... only to be... followed by a... what WAS that? A dog walker? OH MY GOSH AN INVISIBLE DOG! Faiya giggled, swearing she felt it lick her.

Compared to some of their earlier adventures, this trick-or-treat stop was just plain boring for Faiya. Walk up to the normal house, greet the person in a bedsheet - she could make a better costume than that and she was a KID! - and get candy. This time, it was a bag of skittles.

"M-mommy," Faiya whimpered as she opened the door to this house. Something was - something was incredibly wrong here, and the toddler clung to her mother as the little girl in a white, blood-spattered dress approached and offered her hand. Reluctantly, and scared of what the girl might do if she didn't, Faiya shook it, and it came off in her hand - another fake one! Eep! "Mommy, let's - let's fins another house!"

Okay, this house was creepy, and the man who opened the door was a little bit frightening as he offered to let her come inside and be a 'part of his latest experiment', followed by a really creepy, crazy laugh, but Faiya wasn't really frightened of him. Instead she just shook her head and held her hand out for her hopeful present from this house, and soon found herself clutching another ten slips of paper. These, she could read for herself. They said RAT in bold, red letters. What about a rat? Faiya didn't know, but they were better than the scary skull!

Her bucket was starting to get heavy, but Faiya was far from ready to go home. Instead, she skipped up to another house that was almost overly decorated in cobwebs and other Halloween-ish stuff and rang the doorbell. A ... man? in a witch costume opened the door, and he stared at Faiya. He didn't say anything, or offer to give her any presents, and after a few moments of awkward silence, the toddler went back to her mother empty-handed.

It looked like a beautiful fairy tale castle, Faiya could tell she was going to love this house from the minute she walked up to the door. It was pretty, and not scary, and she just knew there was a beautiful princess inside! At least until she knocked on the door and a big hairy monster in a suit opened it, looked down at her, and dropped a life-size science skeleton beside her. "Take that somewhere, would you?" He asked, sounding growly and grumpy as he left Faiya standing on the porch next to the crumpled skeleton.

Pumpkins everywhere! Faiya giggled and tried not to trip on all of the Jack-O-Lanterns as she ran up to the door, stopping to pat a silly-looking pumpkin on its 'head' before she knocked. "Trick or treat!" the tiny fairy princess declared to the pumpkin-dressed occupant of the house - wow, he really liked pumpkins! - and was rewarded with a handful of Reese's peanut butter cups! Oooh, yummy; she'd have to share those with her cousin Kupo later, those were the moogle child's favorite candies...

Another creepy house, Faiya was getting kind of used to these, but this time before she could even get to the door a SCARY ALIEN CAME OUT OF NOWHERE AND IT WAS REAL - so she ran to her mother and they booked it to another house. though Tish was getting fed up with her tiny daughter continually running into dangerous things and would have rushed her home by now if the toddler wasn't so persuasive.

Oooh, now this house was pretty, Faiya decided. "Mama, can we have one like it?" She asked, all bound and determined to get a pretty paper house of her own someday - at least until the woman in white came out. Eep! Was she a ghost? She sure looked like it...
"Um, hi miss ghost-lady! Trick or treat!"
With a soft thump, a candy apple fell into Faiya's bucket, and the ghost disappeared. Well, that hadn't been so bad.

This house was completely boring. No decorations, nothing fun, only a bunch of people who didn't want to do anything fun. Faiya scowled down at the pamphlet she had just been handed, but smiled when one of the kids in the house slipped her some gummy fangs behind his parents' backs. The older boy winked at her as he waved her off down the street, and the toddler went back to her mother with candy in hand, leaving the pamphlet on the doorstep.
