The woman that arrived seemed too highly confident for carrying around plastic. But that was the only thing really eating at Choumo. Back where she lived, everyone was beautiful in their own way, no plastic included! She was just simply not used to people simply "enhancing" their bodies. That attitude wasn't pleasant to her either, it easily said that she thought she was better than all of them, more particularly her & zoey. Just another thing she was not used in this backwards world where every was either the prey or predator or both. Why could no one just be equals? As much as she couldn't understand it, she let it go as much as she could & looked up as two familiar faces showed up. Her eyes easily lit up forgetting any quarreling thoughts or fears & practically hopped to the two fairies who came in.

It was a little out of character for her in front of them, but she couldn't help herself seeing a familiar face or two out of strangers. Before she even got to greet Zeph & Mesa, the butler spoke up, making her head turn back to him, telling them it was about time to explore. Not really something she was looking forward to, even more so she was assigned to explore the cemetary, & with Zeph! As much as she knew him, she did know him too well, & knew when it came to money, she was second in line which meant she was pretty much on this alone. Frowning at the butler as the keys & maps were passed out, she kept quiet though swearing the way her heart was racing someone would hear it. She was so terrified at this point she wanted to cry fully aware of the mishaps to come, knowing Zeph will probably be of no help to her. But maybe she was being a bit cruel... Maybe he wasn't as cold as she was leading herself think... Maybe... Just... maybe...

After she'd heard that the plastic doll, er... Gengar was to be paired with Zoey, all the blonde could do was give a sympathetic smile to the Sneasel. Seemed Chou had lucked out... sort of...

and maybe....you're gonna be the one that saves me...

Salem sighed, looking over at his new exploring companion. Things were bound to be weird, especially given the awkward moment earlier. He would have to stay on his toes now, so as not to offend the attractive red-head once again. The key was handed to the vulpix which made Salem feel a bit like he was the side-kick rather than the leader.

His glassy eyes looked over the map, the door to the basement was down a nearby hallway. Should be easy enough to find. However he felt they'd been given the creepiest place, possibly second only to the courtyard. Outdoors was much less contained. Yes, he'd changed his mind. Poor Zeph and Choumo.

Salem turned to the vulpix once more, "Guess we better get a move on," he said motioning to the hallway that he had determined would lead them to the basement. Truth be told, be was a bit nervous. Basements and cellars had always given him the creeps and with the looming thoughts and doubts about ghosts his nerves were definitely shot.

After his eyes had darted to two more late arrivals, he only paid attention long enough to catch their names before the old butler started speaking up again. The man was explaining how the 'game' was to start and proceed, as well as who went with who by the sounds of it. Shin's attention wandered off again as he heard where him and his 'partner' were assigned to, completely forgetting about the fairy dressed Mesprit. The Haunter was practically wiggling on his 'chair', eyes lit up like a seven year old on Christmas morning.

The Haunter wasted no time in hopping off of the love seat's armrest and bounding over to the man he'd be exploring with who now held the map and key, reaching over with a hand and tugging at one of the fake fairy wings gently but eagerly.
"Shall we get started~?" he asked, though didn't wait for an answer. Instead, he grabbed the man by the wrist and started walking off quickly, dragging the 'fairy' along behind him. "I hope you're not afraid of the dark~" he chimed over a shoulder, a mischievous grin on his lips.

Shin only managed to reach one of the halls before the Mesprit reclaimed his hand, obviously unamused by the Haunter's gesture. He finally slowed to a stop in his walking, spinning around quickly and trying his best to restrain the urge to hop in place.
"Which way is the attic which way is the attic~?" he asked quickly, bending down a little so as to see the shorter man more eye to eye.

xxxxxZoey's eyes continued to wander the sitting room. It looked very interesting. Perhaps later, she may explore this room a bit more. Books were in the sneasel's zone of interest. Books and Video Games. Her eyes dwelled. Looking to the book covers' bindings, where the titles of the books were listed. Zoey noticed a few classic books. Young Women, Pride and Prejudice, Black Beauty, Call of the Wild, David Copperfield. Then, she noticed some rather peculiar books. Like books of the paranormal and ghosts. How odd. She looked to see a couple of the boys sitting in some of the seats. Zoey preferred not to sit down. She was a bit scared that tarantulas would creep from the seats or that the ghosts would hold her down into the chair. Zoey was a bit too cautious. However, she was a bit wise and smile.

xxxxxThe Sneasel didn't bother to introduce herself to the 'enhanced' female. Of course, she was not jealous of her. Zoey would rather have someone be attracted to her personality and her intelligence. Not her skin. Zoey looked to the males, who were already introducing themselves to the Gengar. When she said her name, Apple, she ignored her and everyone else. Then, her eyes darted to two cute twin brothers. Dressed in fairy costumes. A small smile swept across her cute face, making her giggle and blush. They looked so cute and adorable. Zoey then turned to the elderly butler, who began to chuckle. Then, he divided everyone into pairs. Unfortunately, she was paired with the Gengar. Zoey sighed heavily. Why did she receive the vain plastic woman? She would much rather have a male as a partner. Why? For protection of course! A woman such as Apple wouldn't protect her. She may fear breaking a nail or something.

xxxxxZoey looked to Chuomo, receiving her sympathetic smile. She shrugged to her, a reply to her smile that meant that she was going to be okay. Then, the butler began to place the pairs in destinations. She and Apple were appointed to the master's chambers. Zoey knew that Apple would be a bit too familiar with bedrooms. Good thing she wasn't a boy, otherwise, she may try to push herself upon her and well...they wouldn't get anythign done. Zoey watched as Apple accepted the cold, rusted key that was attacked to a string necklace. After the passing of keys, she turned back to the Smoochum. She caught what the butler was about to say about the courtyard. Graveyard. That was the most ghost infested. Poor Chuomo. Zoey turned to the butler and took the map into her hand. Then, she opened it, revealing the interior of the haunted house.

xxxxxZoey sighed, then approached her partner. Unenthusiastic, she spoke to her. "We should get going," suggested the sneasel. Being the brains of the two, she would be the map holder. The looks of the group can be responsible for the key.

Mesa was quite surprised when he realized that among the group of strangers was a familiar face, other than Zeph. "Choumo!" he greeted with a smile as the girl approached the twins. But the little reunion didn't last long as the butler soon saw fit to speak up, and they were quickly separated into groups. Mesa wasn't very pleased to be split up from Zeph but perhaps it was better. After all, they might be narrowed down in this manner, meaning that maybe one from each group was to 'disappear'. At least that was what he told himself, so as to make the situation look brighter.

"Well good-luck dear." he said to the girl as they had to be split apart and gave a wink to his twin - a bit of assurance that he would be fine on his own. The mesprit tried to be sure to keep a persistently strong positive attitude, particularly around his twin. He wouldn't want to give any reason for worry, or just be a downer in general.

It seemed that the pink haired 'fairy' had now been paired off with a crazy person, or at least a very enthusiastic one, as he was quickly dragged off in some random direction. His partner seemed to be unsettlingly excited about getting started on the exploration. It didn't take long for Mesa to pull his hand away, "I can walk just fine on my own." he assured the elated haunter. Right afterward, it seemed that Shin had realized he needed a look at the map and so instead of leading them onward, Mesa decided to part with the map, holding it out for the man. "Have at it." he said with a bit of a laugh as it was just too hard to keep a straight face while a grown man was perfectly giddy over an attic.

Apple glanced around the room as the larger group was paired off. She couldn't help but laugh internally as she was paired with the nerdy looking sneasel. The girl obviously had taken a disliking to her right off the bat, but Apple was used to being judged by her exterior. Especially by females. That's just how it was.

The pretty gengar gave her a smile as she approached. "Yes, I believe we should get going dear, and maybe along the way I can teach you some fashion sense," she said and gave a little wink. Apple was definitely going to enjoy teasing this girl a bit, given the rude reception she received she felt it was warranted.

The purple-haired girl glanced down at the map before snatching it out of the other girl's hands. "Seems we'll be headed upstairs," she said and handed the map back. Her long legs began the strides back towards the foyer where she had entered, toward the beautiful staircase.

Zeph

Zeph couldn't help but feel a chill crawling down his spine. He wanted desperately to pretend he wasn't afraid, and that he didn't believe in ghosts, but he just couldn't lie. He was both those things right now, but he kept his poker face on. He looked at Choumo and gave her a friendly smile and wave. But inside of him he was glaring down every person in the room. When they were at work, sure things were different. She wasn't competing for his money. Why did there have to be so many people here?!

The azelf played with the key in his hands as he approached his now-partner. "Hey girly," he said with a friendly smile. He definitely wasn't excited about having to "explore" the courtyard. He knew it would be dark, probably cold, and very eerie. The blue-haired brit was more than ready to get this over with and be one step closer to the money. In his mind, he was the only one who deserved it. Well, Mesa too. But if either of them won it they were sure to share it.

With worrying about exploring courtyard, which she was knew would be cold, dark & left little for any place to run from something, Choumoslowly spaced out in fear until as voice very near her startled her back to reality. It was Zeph. Her eyes darted to the blue haired male then to the floor for a moment working up a fake smile & looked back up. "Hey, w-why don't we get going too?" It was more a rhetorical question, she didn't intend to get an answer back more than "yea", & peered at the map briefly before starting out the door Shin & Mesa exited & heading down the hallway, warily looking over at her partner to make sure he was still there. Even if he wouldn't be much help to her it still felt better having someone there rather than sticking this out alone physically. Mentally she was alone, really alone. Between looking to her side & behind her she happened to see both the Haunter & her workplace friend Mesa, giggling softly the scene was only briefly amusing, but it faded quickly as she moved on.

After reaching the end of the hall though she had look at the map again, & looked to Zeph once more before taking a left towards the door leading to the Cemetary. Her steps were slow & her breath had become heavy, making the trip there that much longer because she desperately feared even stepping any closer to it.

xxxxxZoey stared at the Gengar. To be honest, she was very beautiful. She should have allowed herself to grow rather than enhancing her body parts before they had the change to naturally grow. Zoey may be nineteen and have a flat chest, but she knew that with time, they would grow. And if not...who cares? The sneasel heard her. Her voice seemed melodic and slightly deep, making her seem a bit more sexy. But it just made her sound weird. The cute, nerdy girl then heard her somewhat insult her, telling her that she would teach her some fashion sense. Zoey declined mentally. She was quite satisfied with her style of fashion. She'd rather be comfy and cute than sexy and pained. A reason why she never slipped her feet into high heels.

xxxxxThe Sneasel groaned. This was going to be irritating. Zoey looked into the map, her eyes scanning over the map. While she examined the paper, she felt her partner, hovering and looking over her shoulder and into the map. Hovering was one of her major pet peeves. Despising the feeling of one looking over her shoulder. Zoey would have said something like "Please don't look over my shoulder." But she kept silent. Then, obnoxiously, the Gengar swiped the map from her hands, causing the edges of the paper to slide onto her skin and cut into it. She winced and whimpered from the paper cuts upon her fingers. She squealed beneath her breath, squeaking ouchie ouchie. Zoey was overly annoyed with this girl. Then, she heard the Gengar as she stated that they would have to head upstairs.

xxxxxZoey predicted that they would. She wouldn't need a map in order to figure that out. The sneasel then felt the gengar shove the map into her chest, obviously finished looking at it. Ihatethisihatethisihatethisihatethisihatethisihatethis, her mind repeated. Zoey would much rather go with someone else. She was fine with being around the others, but this girl annoyed her. Zoey hated her rudeness and obnoxiousness. She would have given her the map if she would have asked politely. Not yanked it from her hands. The sneasel took a few deep breaths. Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale. She needed to calm herself and not get herself angered.

xxxxxZoey then followed her partner up the beautiful staircase in the foyer. Each step was covered in a long, faded, dark red carpet that hid the marble stairs. While Apple strode up them, as if she was a princess, Zoey gently and quickly ascended up the stairs. Not wasting a moment in a fantasy. She jogged quickly and anxiously. Anxious to reach the master's chambers. Zoey sighed. reaching the top. Panting like a dog after a run. A little exhausted, she moved to the railing of the stairs, leaning upon it for support as she rested for a few moments, while she waited for Apple.

Edan raised an eyebrow looking to the sableye that he had just been paired with. 'You've got to be kidding me?' the cynic in him snapped, because he just knew that the man was still sour about being teased. But in all honesty, he probably had more in common with the tiny rock-star than anyone else here, two shy scared girls, a busty confident woman, a very odd enthusiast, and a couple of fairies (Probably in both senses of the word).

The vulpix pulled himself up from his seat, stretching out his arms as he did such before finding himself in a more relaxed stance again. He watched as the other guests, some eager and some scared witless, vacated the room until it seemed that Salem and Edan were the only ones still there. So he made his way over to his new 'partner', leaning over his shoulder to peer at the map that he held before slipping the string that held the key around his neck.

"May as well." he said with a shrug, leading the way towards the hallway. Honestly he was fairly certain that Salem and himself had gotten stuck with the more dangerous part of the home, it having even been called a dungeon for a moment. But whatever, he could deal with it - hell the ladies probably needed less spooky places to be if they should be there at all. Before getting very far down the hallway though, recalling the earlier mishap and the fact that the sableye seemed less than satisfied to have him as a partner, he remarked, "I don't bite." with a bit of a grin.

Salem walked along in that awkward silence for a few moments. He was unsure of what to say to the fiery red head, he was the perfect red-head stereotype. Those thoughts aside, Salem was fighting his nerves about entering the basement of the big house. How would he handle it if one of them died? Would that even happen? It was definitely going to be dangerous down there and her wasn't sure he was ready.

The sableye was pulled from his nervous thoughts by the vulpix's words. "Well that's too bad then, because I like the ones that bite," he was quick to respond. He really wanted to avoid any more serious conversations, because he didn't want anyone to detect his nervousness. Or exploit the fact that he was rather high. Though he was really doubtful that the other man had any serious conversations in mind anyway.

His eyes lit up just a bit more at the offered map, the 'fairy's' previous comment not even making it to the point of being acknowledged. The Haunter was far too excited to keep enough focus on things not dealing with their current adventure, at least, until they got to their little destination. He accepted the map quickly, getting lost in how the paper was folded.
"It's- just-" he mumbled before grabbing to ends of it and shaking it out like a laundry sheet, the loud sound of the action echoing in the larger hallway, "there we go~!" Shin's eyes scanned over the readjusted map, trying to memorize some of the layout while looking for the attic's location. "Aha~" he chimed, rolling the map up rather than folding it before beginning his walk off down the hall, a bit of a hop in his step once more. "This way~~" he called out lightly to his companion, an excited grin on his face.

After a good deal of walking and a couple flight of well detailed, decorated stair cases, also passing a variety of shaped and spotless windows on their way, they finally happened upon a string hanging from the top floor's ceiling, a small ring attached to ease the pull.
"This must be it," he said aloud, glancing around briefly before tugging down the old set of stairs, bits of dust flying off of the older wood. He wasted no time in scaling the stairs quickly, hopping on the final floor with a light thud and waiting for his companion to catch up.

The attic itself was just as large as all of the other floors, but packed full of old trinkets, trunks, mirrors, more old, framed portraits and pictures, clothes, toys, just about everything. It looked similar to what you'd see in the movies, except it wasn't nearly as dusty. There was still dust layering everything, but it was light, as if it hadn't been dusted in a week or two. The rest of the house was spotless, but it appeared that the attic wasn't a top priority, as the owners most likely rarely used it as it was. The Haunter's eyes scanned the room carefully, it being harder to see in than the others due to the lack of lighting. But, Shin was used to dark rooms and locations, and his eyes adjusted well to it by this point.

In his scanning, his eyes paused before darting to the left, having seen something move in his peripheral vision, his body going completely still. When his eyes did settle on the spot he'd thought he'd seen the movement, it was as still as he was. He squinted a little before moving over quietly, the tips of his boots stopping just short of an old and elaborate gold frame, the rim of an old family portrait.

Zeph

Zeph too approached the door leading outside. He looked down at the key in his hands, then over at his companion. He wasn't sure he was ready for this, or that he ever would be, but it was time to get it over with it. He shoved the key into the hole and turned it quickly. The ancient mechanism clicked and he turned the knob. The door now open, he could see the darkness outside and he immediately felt a bit startled by just how dark it was.

As he stepped outside, as if by some unseen force, two lanterns lit up. They were perched on the ledge of the porch. He looked back at Choumo, checking if she'd seen it, and then grabbed one for himself. It hardly lit up the dark night in front of them but it was better than nothing.

The azelf was uneasy but he figured the best course of action was to make himself less of a threat than anyone else, and hell even be friendly to the "ghosts". "Hey there, my name's Zeph!" he said out into the night. "I'm uh...super friendly and I just love your house!" he added.

Edan had been able to give the implications of their location some thought during the silence that had passed between the two of them but he had to say, he preferred that commentary to the silence. He gave a laugh and turned to face the sableye, stopping in his tracks, and being sure to stop the other in his tracks. Either the man was into guys or he was really comfortable with his masculinity because that was something that a man generally wouldn't say to another man.

"When I say 'I don't bite', I mean I don't bite guys like you." he said with a grin, being sure to get up in the other male's face as he did such. Honestly, he had no problem with 'guy's like him' but he had no qualms with telling the sableye otherwise to tease him. "And why would I?" it was clearly a rhetorical question, that he said while giving a light poke to the man's shoulder before pulling out of his personal bubble.

They were almost to the dungeon, and the vulpix was more than content to get there and get this done. He didn't really have a problem with Salem, other than his earlier awkward response to Edan's teasing, but still the red-head was here for money - nothing else. Despite the 'colorful' company.

【 Miss Apple

Apple could tell she'd gotten on the other girl's nerves and frankly she was pretty satisfied with that. Normally Apple was the way she was when she'd arrived, friendly and a bit bubbly. But after the looks those two girls gave her she wasn't exactly feeling up to being nice to them. And if she was to be paired with this girl for the night then it would be okay to let her know that she wasn't all looks along the way.

Once she had ascended the staircase she looked around. It was a very pretty house, not really in tune with her modern tastes, but it was lovely. Apple looked at the sneasel, she seemed quite miserable, though the gengar reasoned that it was her own fault for stereotyping her.

The pretty girl placed one hand on her hip and sighed. "Well, where do we go next?" she asked.
