Yume returned Greg's smile, and gave a small nod. She was a little sad though. It was pretty obvious he was purposefully changing the subject now. "Well, I guess I can't blame him. I'm more or less a stranger to him, and if it were me I wouldn't want to talk about it either. But still..." Yume's train of thought ended there, because her foot suddenly slipped out from under her sending her tumbling backwards towards the water.

Greg didn't take a second to even take in a breath before he dove in after Yume. She hadn't sunk very far, but the bad thing about the uniform she wore, the one he had exchanged for his current one, was that it was heavy when wet.

((Note: It is not stated in this post, but Yume is wearing a camisole under her uniform. Thank you!))
Yume had squeezed her eyes shut as she had fallen. She now opened them once again, as she slowly sank towards the bottom. Her initial reaction was to stroke for the surface, but she couldn't move. Panic rose in her chest, but she tamped down on it. "Calm down! You were told what to do in such a situation!" Yume grabbed a hold of her uniform jacket and began pulling it over her head. It seemed to take forever. Her hands and feet wouldn't work the way she wanted them to, and the panic in her chest just wouldn't be calmed. She knew she was running out of air, and that struggling would do her no good. She had to keep calm even if her progress was painstakingly slow. As she tossed the jacket away, she heard a splash above her. She turned her face towards the surface and saw Greg swimming towards her. Yume's rising panic was immediately quelled by his presence for some reason. Her hands stopped shaking, and she could think clearer. She immediately began to pull off the rest of her uniform, trying to get light enough to swim to the surface.

" Kagekami why are we at this lake in the first place...there doesn't seem a point. I mean it's nice to relax and all but...."
*At that Kagekami clamped onto my shirt and dragged me towards the lake. The water was crystal clear...perhaps a vacation is what I needed.*

((Itaku, don't forget to post in third-person.))
Zeno Angha strolling along the lake, dressed in a military tunic with a blue armband wrapped around his arm to signify his Bluecoat allegiance. Soon he spotted Yume and Greg and looked upon them with disgust. They should be doing drills! he snarled inside his head. He was anticipating the moment when Yume would fall into the water. As expected, she did, and Greg dived in to save her. "Fools." Zeno took out his wand and his eyes began to change color into a bluish color. He flicked his wand and a whirlpool began forming in the lake, sucking everything into the center. Zeno cursed. "Wrong spell." Zeno desperately waved his wand, but the whirlpool continued.

((Yay for making it worse!♥ Lol))
Suddenly something dragged at Yume, pulling her backwards away from the surface. She glanced behind her to access what was impairing her movement and was horrified to see that a large whirlpool had formed in the lake. "The lake was placid just a minute ago! It must be some kind of water magic. I can't nullify it under water though! This is bad..." Yume turned away from the cyclone of water and stroked towards the surface again, hoping that somehow she would break free from it's deadly grasp.

Greg took hold of Yume's hand just as the whirlpool appeared. He pulled her as close as he could before summoning his scythe in his other hand. "Frigidus! (freeze!)" he commanded, water filling his mouth. Not counting the small area around them, all the water froze compleatly. He focused his magic to make a single bubble around them. They were trapped under many feet of water in a small sphere of oxygen. "Hang on." he said holding her tightly. "ianuas magicas (teleport)" and they vanished from the bubble, reappearing on the shore. Greg stood up shaking slightly. "WHO'S BRIGHT IDEA WAS IT TO START A WHIRLPOOL?" He demanded
((oooo I tink he's mad))

As soon as they reached shore, Yume fell to her knees coughing up water. She had nearly drowned, and would've if it hadn't been for Greg. He had saved her life. After a few moments, the coughing subsided and she was able to push herself to her feet, and walk towards Greg.

Zeno Angha was a few meters away, playing his flute. The melody that came out of it was magical-- both literally and figuratively. The frozen lake melted back to its former state, warm and calm. He then picked up his wand and pointed it at Greg and Yume, and a bright light emitted from the tip. Within seconds, their clothes were dry. He looked at his hand and cursed silently. His finger was bleeding slightly for no visible reason. Is this wand cursed? Turning his attention back to the couple, he asked, "Are you two alright?"

Greg hadn't seen the soldier before, so he assumed he was new. "Yes, we are fine." He walked over to the soldier who was clearly older than him by a good 5 years at most. "Mind if I ask why you were performing such actions without checking the area before hand?" he aked. It had always been something that had to be done before practicing magic. "You could've killed us soldier."

Yume stared at the man. "You should consider yourself lucky." she told the newcomer. "If it wasn't for Greg's quick thinking, we could have both drowned, and you could have been put on trial for double homicide." She crossed her arms over her chest trying to hide the fact that she was still shaking slightly. After a moment, she turned away and walked down the shoreline. "I'm gonna go see if my jacket has washed up anywhere." she called over her shoulder, before hurrying off.
((Don't worry she won't fall in again. XD))

"What are you talking about?" Zeno Angha asked quizzically, giving a flat stare at both Greg and Yume. "Is calming the waters so that two of my fellow comrades can swim back up a crime, sir? I saw you two fall into the water and attempted to save you two with this magical flute, but the magic was too strong." It was not a complete lie, as he indeed tried to save them. His acting, however, enabled him to seem as if he was telling the absolute truth; even if Greg was a professional lie detector, he would have a hard time telling whether Zeno was lying or just plainly innocent.
