The pair rushed off of Takashi's lap as soon as Kriss came into view. They hurried over to the shifter, licked her hands as the both grabbed a plate, then hurried back to Takashi's sides. As they sat down beside him, they both watched their plates intensly. "Go ahead and eat, you two" he said calmly as he patted their heads. Both nodded vigorously, then turned to look up at him expectantly. Takashi laughed a little as he took one of the girls' plates. "I told you to get one for all of us, pet. Now these two will suffer as they stare hungrily at their plates." He cut off a small peice of the slice of cake in his hands and bit, and the nekos' faces lit up. They hurriedly sliced the cake into bite-sized peices and took turns taking a bite.

They purred in unison, and Takashi smiled and handed the plate in his hands back to them. Again, they both stared with anticipation at their plates, but made no move to eat. "Eat it" he said with an almost commanding voice, but still neither made a move to eat. He shrugged and looked over at Kriss, a smug look on his face. "They want the cake. They obviously want the cake. But they can't eat unless their master is. Wait, no, wrong choice of words. They won't eat unless they see the one taking care of them doing the same. It's just how they are." He shrugged again and pet both of their heads. "I know I have hands and legs and a pulse, but these two tie them up. So, please go downstairs and grab one more slice of cake for me." The two girls wimpered as if to emphasize that she needed to hurry.

Takashi balked at the way Kriss ranted at him. What shocked him even more was what she was ranting about. As she stormed off, he stood immediately, seething. How dare she accuse me of such foul things! Breaking a spirit, yes I admit is fun. But breaking a soul, a rational mind?! He turned to face the two and immediately felt guilty. Both girls were sprawled on the floor, whining and wimpering, scurrying around the floor trying to pick the fallen cake from the floor. Takashi got on his hands and knees, cooing at them, trying to calm them down and help pick up the cake. Mistreat these two? That's laughable. I spent the first two years I had with them trying to get them to speak rather than mew like kits. He pet one of their heads as the other licked cake from her face. That in itself took months, but teaching them to have fun instead of following me around and doing everything for me. And SHE accuses me of being the one that broke them?!

Takashi's old anger built itself back up again, digging a hole in his stomach. He stood again, careful of the two this time, and strolled at a hurried pace out of his room. He walked downstairs as calmly as he could. The girls, recovered from their bedroom spill, hurried downstairs after him, giggling and smiling as they knew how to do. He took off his shirt and kicked off his shoes opened the front door. He stepped outside, wiggled his toes to let his feet get used to the cool prickly feel of grass, and unfurled his wings. The girls sat in the dooorway, looking at him pathetically, and as he looked over his shoulder to check on them, they wimpered. "Get out here, you two" he sighed, turning to face the woods again. The two smiled, kicked off their shoes, and proceeded to chase each other over the front yard. Takashi whistled softly, and immediately a little fox kit rushed out to join him. He knelt down, holding out his hand, and the kit mewed softly and rushed towards him. As the kit rushed, the others of the fox family rushed out of the woods to join him. Following close behind the foxes were the three kitsunes he had rescued long ago. Their hair was wet, their bare chests glisened with water and the pants covering their lower selves clung tightly to their legs. "I have an unruly guest running around here" he said as he gently lifted the mewling fox kit. "Find her, leash her, and brind her back here. I'm guessing I'm gonna have to install some manners in here."

It had been a while since Takashi sent the foxes and kitsunes after his tigress, and he wasn't too anxious to have her returned to him. He currently sat calmly in the grass, watching the two girls as they ran and chased each other. His mind continuously wondered away from the present place he was as he absently stroked the fox kit's ears as it laid in his lap. I'm a good person he thought, as if to reassure himself. I pick up strays all the time. I make sure they have enough to eat and live pretty confortable lives. Besides my likeness to tease others constantly, what is there to dislike about me? He continued on his train of thoughts, Kriss' words and reaction puzzling him greatly, no longer the source of his anger. One of the kitsune emerged from the expanse of trees and made its way to Takashi's side. "They've seem to have found her and are currently tracking her. Should we capture her now?"
Takashi sat in silence as he thought things out for a minute. Finally, he said "Perhaps I was thinking too rashly, too quick to judge and too angry to think straight." He waved his hand in front of his face as if to dismiss a thought. "Don't worry about capturing her. Instead, make it so that she'll have no choice but to return on her own.Put barriers around the area and scare prey away from her path. Chase her, make her tired and weary and starved. Then drive her back this way." The kitsune bowed from the waist towards him. "We shall put charm cards around the whole peremeter. Anything with something more than human in their blood system shall feel its bite if they should even come to close to it." The kitsune disappeared then, choosing to run faster than the eye can follow.

Takashi had the fox kit on the ground on its back and played with its little paws. It mewled at him with a smile as the twins nudged his stomach with their fingers while laughing. A soft cry of a fox on a hunt roze high above the treetops, and Takashi smiled. "Seems she's tired herself out" he said in a sing-song tone as he coddled the kit. "Girls? Do you think you could bring me the leash? The silver one, please. And make sure the collar's still attached to it." The girls nodded, but were shaking in fear. He sighed, set the kit on his lap, and petted the two's heads. "Don't worry, it's not for you. I promised you two that when I took it off, you'd never have to feel it on you ever again. Remember? The first time we met? I still hold to that promise, ok?" The two nodded against his hands, then smiled to run into the house to fetch what he asked for. Takashi turned his attention back to the kit and began playing with his paws again. "You're a cutie! Yes you are! You're so cute and you know it!"

With only he and the fox kit on the lawn, Takashi had plenty of time to think to himself. But before his musings could even begin, another fox cry split the air. His first thought was to be glad that they were turning her around, but his smile stopped as soon as 2 other cries followed the first. What could've possibly gone wrong? I don't think she would've turned and attacked them, unless she realized they were trying to hold her here? Takashi grabbed the fox kit gently around it's middle with one hand and lifted it up as he stood. He was making his way to the forest edge when two foxes came charging at him. Gently, he set the kit down in front of them and they licked and jumped over the little thing. He smiled down at them and continued making his way through the forest when the sight of his kitsune made him stop.

All three of them emerged from the dark, one after another. The last was cradling a naked, panting Kriss. Jeez. I didn't mean for her to end up like this. The kitsune carrying Kriss walked around the first two and stopped directly in front of Takashi. "We found her, as is. There was no fight, no struggle, no response." He bowed and offered Kriss up to him, which Takashi took. "I trust you. Thank you for your help. You can go back home now, if you wish." He turned away from them and headed back inside. He carried Kriss up the stairs and into her room. Gently, he laid her on her bed, and covered her up with her blanket. The twins ran in, all smiles and laughs, one carrying a metal lock-collar and the other carrying 2 chaing attached to it. "Good girls" he said as he rubbed their heads. He took the collar from one and lifted Kriss' head so he could clasp it around her neck. "I really wanted to have fun with you" he whispered solemly, swipping her hair from her face. He took both the chains from the neko's hands and tucked it under the matress. "Now try to be a good girl for me, ok?" He hooked his arm around each girl's shoulders and led them outside of the room. "Ok, enough fun for today. Time for bed!"

"I can do that myself" Takashi growled at the twins as they fluffed up his pillows and set his water bottle by the lamp on his nightstand. They set his running shoes at the side of his bed and hung a towel over the bed's foot railing. "Go to bed, you two. Preferably now before I go prematurely balf from the building stress of having you two buzz around me all night long." The two girls stopped their tasks and smiled brightly at their master. Takashi melted a little inside. These two... They bowed simontaniously and rushed to hug him, almost knocking him over, then quickly released him to bounce down the hallway to their room. "Straight to bed! Goodnight and sweet dreams!" He sighed and combed his fingers through his hair as he made his way to his bed. He shut off the lamp's light, crawled under the covers of his bed, and instantly fell into his usual peaceful slumber.

Takashi felt himself fall off that tedious edge of consiousness, but before he could feel the weightless relief of sleep, a sharp cry jerked him back to reality. What could have happened now? he thought as he laid still on his bed. Are shifters not supposed to touch metal or something? Reluctantly, he pulled himself out of bed to slowly make his way to Kriss' room. The soft snores and mews of the nekos echoed through the hall and Takashi couldn't help but smile. They are just too cute. He knocked on the door, to alert her of his presence, then slowly opened the door. She was laid out on her back, collar still intact, eyes full of rage. "If you can help yourself" Takashi said as he leaned against the doorframe. "I'd like to get some sleep. I apparently have things I need to get tomorrow and" His eyes slowly grazed over her, to her stomach and back to her face. "Apparently need to make some new accomidations for you, my pet. "
