Skrimir stared it down, the dragon stared back. This went on for the few critcal heartbeats that universally were required to establish dominance in such a face-off. And yet, nothing happened. It didn't yield, neither did he.

By all rights he should simply forced forward and made his point with claws and fangs, lacking the means to speak. Yet this dragon looked at him with such fearful eyes that were unfitting of a creature of its stature. It was... disconcerting.

-- wait--

Damn it. Even in the skirmish, with the smoke and ash and blood in the air Skrimir could smell it: the smell that he'd been cramped up with for days, lingering in the shed with him.

Skrimir whirled around and bounded out of view to snap a very deserving neck: one of the ones that had hauled his drugged body in the dead of night to 'storage.' It had been smeared all over him for days. And right then, the man paid for it.

So, he thought. The spare handful of remaining cowardly bandits-- those were enemies.

Then what had the white dragon been?! Taking a look around, seeing exactly what was swirling around him... what was going on in the first place?!

It was going to be a very long night.

-Ephraim-

Good, he managed to fend off that one. Either Ephraim was going crazy or the number of bandits slowly started to decrease. He didn't want to think about it, because a majority of the cases when people do start thinking that, more was bound to come. The archers hidden among the group were still around...but the only question now was where. Surely others might have located them by now on their side. Ephraim however, did not. He jumped when a pair of arms came around his shoulders and turned to see the source. Just as Ephraim was about to say something, a kiss to the cheek cut him off and he froze for 5 seconds. There was only one person in the entire world that would think about doing that in the middle of a battle.

Kishuna

He would facepalm..only this wasn't exactly the situation for it at the moment. Right now he had to focus on what was at hand and now that the bandits were slowing down on proceeding or because Ephraim just couldn't see a damn thing. The first thing he need to do was to bring some light into the forsaken darkness so him and the others may be able to see at the very least. Abel, he remembered him back during Halloween..damn, if only he could pin point where his location was. Ephraim had obviously heard his cry of assistance but there wasn't much to be done. The torch in which the bandit carried while dealing with Ciela was dimming out to its last ashes, there was nothing left of it to be used as a source of lighting. The archers were no longer a problem as FD seemed to have gotten that taken care of for the most part. If there were any of them left they were probably too scared to do anything or just ran off and abandoned their friends.

Look Mr. Ugly bandit. If you're going to attack, do it properly instead of just swinging your weapon so recklessly that you might even end up hitting your own head with it! Once she was capable of seeing again, Ciela looked up to see the one assisting her already distracting said bandit that tried to kill her. Well that wasn't very smart now. Swinging your sword around like a stupid idiot, did this human really think he'd accomplish anything by doing that? If she attacked his arm, most likely the wolf would get hit in the face. Ciela's eyes drew down lower, slowly her head tilted to the side. She pondered the thought for a moment then moved to the side, away from the human's views. Once she was directly behind him, Ciela leaped at the bandit.

ANKLE BITING FOR THE WIN! At least long enough for Ciela to sink her teeth into his ankle, yank him off his feet and face plant into the dirt before she had to dodge a foot that came towards her.

Before Ephraim moved, he backed up to help the two wolves. Once the bandit got up, Ephraim slammed a fist in his face, staggering him for a just a moment and enough for Ciela to rip out his throat as she did with most.

They needed to move in to help their other friends. After the sudden, yet expected, ambush, all of them seemed to have scattered around the area and almost nobody was near anyone. "We need to move, I'm sure others need help" The lancer spoke to both the two wolves, Kishuna and whoever was nearby that he couldn't see at the moment. Whether they followed or not, Ephraim turned heel and advanced forward. Once he moved, something shimmered for a second in the moonlight. A staff? He could hear the sudden cry and a horse's insecurity. Bandits didn't have horses...and they didn't attack their own allies on purpose either..Ephraim jumped in just as an arrow was heading toward the guy again, he was able to see it for a split second and out of sheer luck was he able to deflect it. He turned his head, looking up at the person. Blood, that's what Ephraim smelled. "Hey" the lancer called "You all right?"

((I couldn't tell exactly where your character was, FD mad . I tried x'D ))

Abel wasn't sure if he would be able to recover before Radboud, which would have left him in the disadvantage. The swipe gave Abel enough time to completely reposition into a desirable stance. He didn't expect Radboud to have been taken out by such a hit, though. Abel hadn't seen if Sue's sword had hit and dared not look back to see if blood covered it. He knew the second he lost focus would be when he needed focus most. Too many fights had been lost because of too much focus. The lesson had eventually sunken in.

"I'm fine, thanks to you!" Abel replied, as he developed a grin through the madness around him. "Don't worry about me, I can handle him... now that I have some nice help." The swordsman tightened his grip and spread his legs, digging his feet into the dirt, for extra firm support. "Besides, I've finally worked him over to where I need him."

A look around would prove that the fire was no longer dangerously close to Radboud. Abel could hear other people fighting not far away, but the fire's glow showed no faint silhouettes behind the leader. There were no obstacles. Abel raised his broadsword and heaved it down, allowing the tip to crash into the earth. A blast shot out during the descent, condensing as it flew towards the bandit. Arrows were tossed from their paths and even cut into pieces from the wind. Radboud did not have much time to react to the slicing blast of wind.

Adel "Grave" Yuoin

If Grave had been able to focus and listen to everything that was going on about him, he might have been able to understand the lay of the field with his ears, but that was no the case as the fighting made that impossible. Pausing for a moment was enough to draw attention, attention that no one wanted. Grave's recent attack on a bandit had managed to get such attention, and even slightly wounded Grave was forced to skip back away from the bandit as he swung wildly. Grave could feel pain in each movement, but he was stubborn enough that it wasn't hindering him. Grave was backing himself into a corner though with the trees behind it. It was only with luck that Ciela attacked so suddenly at the bandits leg, giving Grave time to move away from the bandit as Ephraim moved to aid his wolf.

With the bandit taken care of, Grave was given a moment of rest which he took gladly. It was no longer just Grave, Ephraim, and the wolf fighting together, but also someone whom Grave did not recognize at all. It didn't matter much to Grave though. Any help was welcome in his mind. Grave didn't miss what Ephraim said about others needing help. Grave could hear that they did. There was only one flaw, Grave didn't know who to help. Going off on his own hoping to find someone wasn't logical either, it would put him in a good deal of danger. Ephraim was a sound leader in Grave's mind though, and following him seemed like the best idea.

Grave followed Ephraim all the way to where Ephraim found someone injured on a horse. Grave's attention was drawn elsewhere though, where Grave could make out a form of a lone swordsman fighting. Grave glanced at Ephraim before letting out a brief growl, warning Ephraim that Grave was about to head off. With that done, Grave sprinted off, heading in the direction of the red haired swordsman, Roy, whom may or may not have needed help. It didn't make much difference to Grave, but it seemed that Ephraim didn't need help at that moment. Someone else did, and Grave could at least provide some help.

Running straight forward towards the enemy was the the best thing to do. As one who usually has to deal with bandits charging right at him, Oujay should have known this fact. Not only that, he wasn't fighting his normal enemies of axe wielders either. This time the enemy he was up against was wielding the same weapon as he was.

As the man yelled at him to back off, Oujay did not plan to follow that guy's wish. Along with his threat, the man tried to scare him off with the flames. Did he really think flames was going to scare the mercenary? It was quite the opposite. He kept pushing on with his charge. The brigand tried using a different tactic and swung his sword at the incoming blue haired guy.

Luckily, Oujay's sword was already in his two hands, prepped to strike. Oujay skidded to a stop while he pulled his sword up as it grinded against the ground. The enemy's sword was stopped as the swords clashed. Not only that, the bandit, who had swung with the power of one hand, did not withstand the strength and stumbled back a little. Seizing the opportunity, Oujay's sword went straight down and cut right along the man's chest, exactly how the man hoped to take the mercenary down.

Lend me your ear!
...Heed my words.

xxxxxOh indeed, the exposed archers were being roasted. However, not all were on the mountainside and never were. A fair sum of them were in the forest and many had fled to the woods when the giant, scaly, flaming beast of death had decided to fly over. It seemed like common sense to them. The ones in the woods would have to be defeated by those small enough to pass through the trees.

xxxxxThe archers on the mountainside were taking heavy losses. The fiery monster had not reached Rogvald yet, though was very close. The poison was used mainly to agitate the dragon and lure it closer. In essence, it was doing exactly what Rogvald had wanted it to do.

xxxxxThe advisor watched very much pleased with the way the battle was going. He was also pleased that the time to spring the dragon's trap had come. "Come forth." From the shadows of the mountain behind Rogvad, ten men in cloaks stepped out, each with a book in their possession. "You are criminals. Many of you were locked up and left to rot by these very guild people. I, however, have released you ten specific criminals with magical knowledge in order to do one special task. That dragon has come within your range. The bandit scum on the mountains have served their purpose. Do not use the tomes I have given you wastefully." Rogvald held his stave out in front once more. "Kill the greater fire dragon. Then kill the others. Do this and you shall have won your freedom. I will leave you to your work." Rogvald snickered down at the ants moving about below and then to the dragons. He was confident that before the morning, all of them would be dead. In truth... he was overconfident, but did not see it being so. However, he did see his work there as being done and no longer saw a reason for him to stay. The stave in his hands began to glow and in the passing of a flash of light, Rogvald was gone.

xxxxxAfter the advisor left, the ten criminals stepped forward and opened their tomes. Clouds began to form in the sky, blocking the moonlight. Thunder boomed. Jolts of light scattered through the dark puffs in the sky. And then, simultaneously, ten bolts of lightning came surging down upon the dragon of fire. Poison took effect slowly, but thunder magic would not.

I advise you to listen. Not doing so could prove... deadly.

User ImageBlythe stood back up normally as the Lancer was approaching him. By the time Ephraim had reached him, he’d successfully, albeit in mild agony, removed the arrow in his side, and unfortunately realized they’d been dipped in poison… at least the arrow had been removed. He then distinctly heard the man’s lance make contact with yet another arrow aimed at the Troubadour.

"Hey" the lancer called "You all right?"

Wait, what just happened? Things seemed to be happening faster than Blythe could process for a moment. Not to mention there was something about the Lancer that seemed peculiar to Blythe (like the HUGE irony that he’s the prince of Renais and Blythe has a huge dislike for royalty, or the fact that Blythe’s first-ever post was talking so much s**t about Eirika, or something else along those lines xD). But everything came back together a moment later. “Yeah, I’ll be fine, just an arrow that struck my left side,” he responded hurriedly, his teeth still semi-gritted out of pain. He was panting heavily, but the Troubadour still had his focus about him as he had been able to safely remove the arrow. “Do you need healing?” he quickly followed up, Heal staff already out to be used on someone close enough, much like Ephraim (or Rahkain, or Leon *cough, cough*).
PostPosted: Sun Oct 03, 2010 4:12 pm

As clouds filled the sky, the last bit of light for Rahkain to shoot by had gone. He squinted more into the darkness. "Leon! Leon there's magic users up there!" He shouted to his friend. His eyes widened in realization. "A trap within a trap, that b*****d!"

There was hardly anything he could do without light. As his eyes adjusted, he noticed a magic user close by. "You!" He called to him. The Troubadour had a staff out. "You got a Torch staff? We need some serious light in a frogging hurry or we're gonna be roasted, you got that?! Does ANYBODY around here have a Torch Staff?!" he yelled to the surrounding crowd.

User ImageThe hands I'd kept clean
Now look dirty
Before I can doubt my memories
My memories are doubting me...

Arrows. Still flying. Must destroy.

Annis let out a keening shriek as she soared through the darkening night, her claws rending through one of the remaining mountainside archers as she passed. In such close proximity, it was difficult to fire at a moving target, particularly one that blended in so well to the darkness. Annis' beak and claws tore through another archer as she swooped overhead, and as the third one there was burned alive by FD's flames, she perched against the rocks, looking around uncertainly. Her stance was unsteady, though, and soon she was back in the air, flying in circles near the ground. For some reason it was easier to keep balanced in the air. Using those legs still didn't come instinctively.

Magic. From somewhere?

Annis looked up and around, blinking through the darkness. She couldn't see the spellcasters, but she could see the brief flashes of light in the sky.

Magic? Thunder magic. Dangerous magic. Not wind magic, but still magic. That was bad. Get rid of it.

Annis shrieked and, without another thought, started to fly towards the mages. Even if some of them didn't get taken out by her first strike, then she could at least startle some of them into dropping their books, right? The black raven swooped right towards the gathered convicts without another murderous scream. She simply bared her talons and powerful beak, tearing through one, two, then three of the thunder mages. She shrieked now over their heads, blood dripping from her claws and her beak.

As terrifying as she hopefully was, though, her thoughts were still a bit cloudy and it was difficult to stay focused on one thing for long; there was so much fighting and so many enemies to get rid of, she was going to need some help staying on track. And getting rid of those mages. Fast, hopefully.

~Ninian~
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

She was too angry to laugh, or she would have.

She had heard the rumors about the war, the new king, the new policies enacted. She had left Eyris to keep Ninian safe, but if things were changing this drastically . . . The unnamed woman had decided that she wanted to see things for herself, to see if Learania was still relatively safe for her and for Ninian, or if they would do better to leave Learania altogether. And so she'd made her way back to Eyris, keeping out of sight.

Tonight, she had entered the forests close to FEFGA Manor. About to set up camp come sunset, she discovered the forest already occupied. Eavesdropping told her who the people were: bandits under Lord Rogvald's command, ready to destroy the guild in a surprise attack. She hid in the trees, watching. When the guild came, she watched them fall into the trap, watched the fighting break out. She saw how horrible Rogvald was, knew that he was a serious threat to those not on his side. He would see the guild destroyed.

She had to leave before she was destroyed along with it.

But something held her back, kept her watching the fight. before the sun set, she saw the guild members fighting for their lives. The presence of some worried her (FD and Roy especially, and even Sue), made her want to flee the battlefield and run to protect them at the same time. But those instincts were not completely her--they were partly, maybe mostly, Ninian. So she stayed, did nothing but watch.

But things were not going so well for the guild. From the lights of torches, she could see that they were fairly well out numbered. She saw the light of someone being healed--Roy.

The thought was not hers. She forced Ninian back, shoved her into sleep. It took more effort than she expected. She glared at Roy, a part of her--the part that was her, not Ninian--wished that one of those arrows would hit him.

But those arrows were poison. And that was her brother, her son--

She didn't realize she'd moved until Briseschal, the legendary scarf, had severed the head of one of the many enemy archers. Too late to stop now, she thought, and swiftly move to find and eliminate the next archer. After that, perhaps she'd take care of these annoying mages, too.

User ImageAnother detour. You know, you would think that after what happened in Sires, Ziaram wouldn't be doing this. However, one thing came to his attention. Being with the main group would get him noticed, and right now that was not what he needed.

So, through the forests he went. His Light Brand was his primary weapon, and it was in a decent condition. However, this would be the close battle to have it become useless. The magic was still there, and he would use that until the end. A new magic weapon would be the only thing he would need to find later.

Although he hadn't known someone had already been in this forest, he jumped up trees, and looked down. Torches were lit, and he could see his allies going off to battle. Things seemed like they would be well. That was, until the sight of the arrows came.

The light was just right from Ziaram's angle that he could tell they were poisoned. These archers were out to weaken and kill. That was unacceptable. The only thing that stopped him from moving was the sound of a thud from a body. A headless archer was on the ground.

Someone else is here. Hopefully an ally.

Jumping down from his tree, Ziaram noticed the bright blue hair that was familiar. Where had he seen this before? Oh yeah, Roy's mother. Raising his Light Brand, he shot magic off towards another of the archers she was targetting, and called out to her. "I'm here to back you up here. Together we ride."

The young dragon breathed a sigh of relief, though it didn't sound much like a sigh to anyone else but her. Her muscles relaxed, her tension waned. The beast had gone. Hopefully she had scared it off, and not just delayed it's course.

Still alert, Tiki turned her attention back to her vantage point. Still transformed, mind. It was too dangerous to be here without defensive means. She had no clue how much time passed during her stare down. But things seemed to have changed a great deal regardless. Of course they did. It was a battlefield, after all.

But noticeable above all was the thick, dark, storm clouds that were rolling in. Ominously. But quickly and unnaturally. It had to be some sort of magic. Even she knew that. But where was it coming from? There had to be some powerful mages around- They had blackened out the sky!

And they were going for the Fire Dragon.

Tiki could not see very well, and she had absolutely no idea what was going on. But she did not want to see that dragon get struck down. She was perfectly willing to act on that little nagging desire to speak with him, at least once. He was no feral dragon- he moved and attacked with an agenda, and Tiki could see the presence of thought. Having seen it's starkest contrasts, she believed it would not be a mistake to do something about this.

She began to beat her wings. She bounded off the ground and took to the air in a clean, fluid motion. She didn't fly up too high, but began to assess what was happening on below her. She had seen where the arrows had come from. Now she had to search for those mages...

A flash of light exploded in Skrimir's eyes, making him wince-- ugh, he could smell the ozone, hear the crack of lightning far too clearly and it had dazed him for a moment.

His sight soon adjusted, and as Skrimir was able to assess the situation more clearly. He recognized the giant red dragon... and the white one flying... flying?! Was it mad?! With the thunder so close?!

With his head screwed on straight, finally, Skrimir snarled and took action. Dragons and fighters good. Bandits and archers and mages bad. Quietly, he approached a clot of huddled men, with thin faces and brand-new tomes in their hands. Hn, he did not usually approve of ambush tactics but if that was their plan he would be more than pleased to give them a taste of their own philosophy. Let them go out, he thought, regretting their cowardice.

A moment later, several hidden mages screamed and burst out of the brush, hysterical with fear-- and bounding after them a very vindictive Skrimir made hot on their heels.

The swordsman was thankful that a wolf showed up to help. It helped unnerve the bandits he was fighting a little. With the Beast Laguz's help, they were able to take down the bandits that were fighting Roy. He took this brief lapse of freedom to look around quickly. Sue was aiding Abel, Oujay looked like he was alone, Leon and someone he didn't recognize were together, Blythe was with Ephraim and Kishuna. A raven was laying low, but still ripping through bandits like they were paper. Hikaru was also on his own, the faint red of his scales reflecting what appeared to be small sticks but were really arrows. He quickly calculated who needed help the most before reaching a decision.

"Mr. Wolf..." Roy said, looking over at the beast. He didn't know the Laguz's name, so he made up a name on the spot. "Thanks for your help. Can you go assist the blue-haired swordsman? I need to ask our healer if he can treat the Fire Dragon."

During the fighting, he had noticed a warm feeling around him that he instantly recognized as healing. The light made him a target, but he was able to evade most of the dangers that went to him. He managed to remain uninjured since then, mostly in part thanks to the wolf's assistance. He needed to thank Blythe for the heal too.

As he made his way over to where Blythe, Ephraim and Kishuna were, slicing past a bandit or two, he noticed that the healer seemed to be in pain. With the dim blue light the Heal staff's gem was giving off, Roy's eyes caught sight of an arrow lying on the ground, coated in a deep red, and a tear in the healer's clothes.

s**t.

"Hang on, Blythe..." he reached into his back, searching for an antitoxin. He knew he had one. He distinctly remembered buying one, and he didn't use it all that much. Rogvald didn't bother with taking items. Just weapons. His hand brushed against a rounded vial.

Aha.

He pulled out the antitoxin and passed it over to the troubadour. Hopefully there was enough to keep him alive.

"Here... keep up the good work, Blythe. We're all counting on you." he said softly.

He turned around to look at the scene once more, his blade stopping an arrow that seemed intended for the healer, when he caught sight of something fearsome. A multitude of thunderclouds discharging numerous thunderbolts down towards a single figure.

His Uncle Hikaru.

"Heal Hika--the red dragon!" he pleaded to Blythe before he took off.

Just because Hikaru was powerful did not mean he was invincible. People tended to forget that. Yes...including the dragon's own nephew. If only he had assisted the fire dragon more... ah...what a painful thing to realize at such a late moment.

A bandit had gotten in his way. The young lord cut him down with no hesitation in his swing. As he ran, he could see the bastards that dropped devastating thunder magic. Fortunately, it seemed he was not the only one who was thinking about getting rid of them first, as a lion and a white dragon suddenly made their appearance. The lion went for the mages, catching them by surprise, while the white dragon hadn't acted yet. Nevertheless...the lion Skrimir had at least scared some of the mages out into the open.

He ran for the one closest to him, who...still seemed to be distracted by the 'oshit lion caught us by surprise' bit and cut him down from where he stood with a mighty swing, weighed with the guilt the young lord would carry should the Fire Dragon perish.

He swung his blade to the side, cleaning the blood off his blade once more as he made his way towards the next mage. The blade moved from the ground up, aiming for the kill...

Shwunk

There was an intense burst of pain in his side, causing him to wince. The force of impact and the pain was enough to make him stagger to the side, blade grazing the target but not a fatal strike. The swordsman pulled his eyes away from the mage for a brief moment to see what had struck him.

A poisoned arrow.

Ah... that's right...the archers' main focus of fire was on the fire dragon after all, and he had strayed a little too close to his Uncle without a care of the dangers it presented. He just wanted to protect his Uncle for a change. His gaze shifted back to the mage, who was aware of his presence now and was moving away, already preparing a new spell.

How...careless of him.

Ignis Draconis sum. Thema fabulae, thema apologi.

Fire Dragon

Eliminating the Archers seemed to be going really well for the Fire Dragon; their numbers weren’t nearly as plentiful as they had been to begin with – heck, there were only a small fraction of them left by this point. FD continued lathering the mountainside in flame to eliminate whoever there was still left to eliminate, before hearing (I’m assuming dragons have really good hearing) Rogvald’s slimy voice again. The dragon turned his attention in that direction only to see the light produced by the b*****d’s self-warping staff before ill-omened, darkening clouds smothered the moon up. And with it, what little light there was to rely on for the battle at hand.

Mere moments later the artificial sky announced its judgment for all to see before casting it, and everything was illuminated in a flash before the Chorus of lightning bolts all came crashing down upon the dragon. The Fire Dragon was only able to get a glimpse of the men who had orchestrated the magical assault.

FD fell out of the sky like a meteor into the clearing where many a Resistance member was still fighting (and I’m assuming if someone was where he was to crash, they’d be smart enough to get the ******** out of the way lest they get crushed). Nils... He wasn’t a Dragon Laguz, but that didn’t mean he wasn’t weak to thunder; ALL draconic beings shared this weakness, regardless of world of origin. Ten simultaneous spells of thunder magic would hurt anyone unless you have Volt Absorb or Motor Drive, possibly kill someone, and especially a dragon. His plummet towards the world below was adding insult to injury… erm, injury to injury, too. FD was extremely fortunate to have such an enormous capacity to take a beating, as it was all that prevented him from losing his life. But he did lose consciousness from the collision. And upon losing consciousness, he lost his natural form, reverting to his human substitute form, which would be easier for whatever life FD had left in him to keep alive. So there he lay, unconscious, poisoned, and in a much more vulnerable, scale-free body.

As powerful a being FD is, he too has weaknesses. All his injuries translate between his dragon form and human form, his injuries don’t heal abnormally fast as those of Laguz do, and as much poison as he had taken in while blasting Archers with Flametongue, that amount of poison would be much more potent and dangerous to a smaller frame.

-----

The man who was working alongside Leon, also functioning as an excellent defense for the Troubadour from getting attacked, suddenly asked Blythe if he had a Torch Staff on him. Unfortunately, he didn’t. If he did, he’d have been using it already. As it was, those near Blythe were luckier than most since the gem of the staff he held in his staff was perpetually emitting a small, faded light. “Sorry,” Blythe answered, “I don’t. If anyone does though, I can put it to use!” Just then, the sky mysteriously become filled thick with clouds, blocking precious moonlight. the clouds quivered, ejaculating lightning and for a moment, everything was bright. Blythe could see Roy approaching, eliminating a couple of bandits as he did so. When his current employer reached the healer, he offered an antitoxin to the Troubadour. Blythe was extremely grateful and quickly and efficiently went about applying the substance to his wound, as much as it stung to do so. Blythe wasn’t one to ******** around with stalling about what needed to be done, even if it was difficult to do. “Thanks,” he told Roy.

Roy answered with words of encouragement and an order that the Troubadour heal the red dragon. The dragon in the sky? As if something so powerful, something of legends would need healing, Blythe couldn’t help but think. But just then, said beast was being struck by all the lightning, and crashing downwards! As if even seeing a being so large wasn’t enough, seeing it struck down was even more unreal, surreal even, for him. Just fighting alongside dragons, and ravens, and wolves (Oh my!) felt strange to him, even though the nature of such shape-shifters, Laguz he’d heard them called, had been explained to him since he’d been in Learania.

Said dragon crashed into the ground, the impact being big enough to have Cesario raise its front hooves and neigh out of fear, as Blythe pulled his reins in for control. Roy was already rushing towards FD, and Blythe was quick to follow in pursuit. As he was catching up, he witnessed the majestic beast transform into the form of a man (it astounded Blythe, fascinated him) – a really injured, extremely off color thanks to poison, man! By the time Blythe reached where FD’s unconscious body lay, relying on Roy for protection (and hopefully Leon/Rahkain, and possibly others, too) he’d already drawn out his Restore staff and immediately went to work in using it on the dragon man. It was hard to keep focus in the midst of a battle and considering all that was going on in the moment, so it took longer than normal to successfully apply the cleansing energy that would eradicate the poison in the unconscious man, but he managed to. The guy’s color seemed to be returning to him already. But he was still severely injured; Blythe had merely prevented more damage from being done so far. He now drew out his Heal staff and went to work in using that on the red haired man on the ground.

One could only hope nothing bad happen while he was in the process of healing FD.
