Nodding slowing Charis shifted his wing. It hurt but he could do it.What about a young sapling? That could be used to lash a wing. Charis looked around not sure if he could pull a sapling out and keep his wing still.

Leo tilted his head. "I wouldn't think it would have enough give to it make an effective lash. Not one big enough to tie your wing to your side, at least." There probably weren't any around either. Unless you were at the sight of a fallen tree, all the available space was usually taken up by other trees.

Do you have a suggestion then Leo? Charis was at a loss as to what to do. If he couldn't lash his wing then he might be in trouble later on.

Leo looked around. "Let's walk for a bit. Forest like this, there's bound to be some ivy growing on a trunk somewhere."

Alright. Lead the way Leo. Charis moved to follow Leo not really knowing which way to go.

And so Leo led. They did eventually find a nice speciman of ivy, but that was after several mishaps involves a pricker briar, irritable badger, and a robin that took an exception to Charis. The modis still weren't sure if that robin was trying to warn Charis away or preform a mating dance.
A quick climb to sever some of the top sections of ivy, and a quick n** at the bottom. Several long strings of the vine were now ready for wrapping. "Um," Leo started, looking a bit akward. He glanced at the damaged wing, then at Charis. "I've never actually performed first aid before. And you're pretty big. I don't know how I'd get this on ya."

(LOL I loved your post.)
Charis pulled yet another torn out of his fur. That brier plant was just mean. And that odd bird. My goodness.. I never thought I was gonna get away! Well I could kneel and that would help. Charis leaned down without laying down, and kept his wings as close as he could to his body to help Leo.

((lol If I hadn't been so tired when I wrote it I might have gone into more detail. Glad you enjoyed it though))
Leo picked up the vine and, with a flick of his head, tossed one end over Charis. It settled neatly on his back, needing just a tug here or there to get the thing in proper alignment. "Do you want both wings bound, or just the one?"

Just the one. Having both of my wings bound would make me feel like an invalid fox with no hope. Charis gave Leo a small grin. Based on how things turned out that was a fairly ironic statement. Still Charis did only want one wing bound. At least then he would be able to save some of his pride. Shifting his other wing out of the way as much as he could Charis tried to give Leo the best angle he could offer to deal with the hurt wing..

Leo managed to get the vine tied around Charis' body and injured wing with a reasonable amount of tightness, though not without uttering a few words that would have caused Aegle to rip off his nose had Akela been within earshot. A new respect was found for the tribe healers.
Leo circled Charis, looking over his handiwork. "How's it feel," he questioned.

Charis's ears where still burning where his vocabulary had been expanded. He tried to flex his hurt wing to test out the ivy wrappings. It held just fine. It's good. Thank you. Charis smiled at Leo, when his stomach started growling. He hadn't eaten all day. His stomach decided it was time to get some food.

"Will you be alright on your own," Leo asked, slightly worried. He knew Charis' decent from the tree shouldn't be held against him on his physical abilities; not all foxes would be squirrels.
Still. Leo had taken care of Charis, even if briefly, and that made him slightly protective. He didn't want to abandon the Phim if he was going to have a difficult time hunting, finding food, or defending himself.

Nodding his head Charis did his best not to wince. He thought he hide it well but he wasn't sure. He knew he wouldn't be hunting or fishing well anytime soon so he would have to find some edible fruit or plants for his dinner. I'll be ok. Please don't worry. Charis's smile was a sad one. He didn't want Leo to worry about him. It was strange to have another fox worried about him. Nice but odd. It was best if Leo didn't worry and went on with his happy life. Yes after all he doesn't need to do more for me then he has done. He helped me find my way and took care of my injuries I can't ask more of him. I'll end up weighing him down.

Leo's amethyst eyes were hard and serious when he looked at Charis. "You're sure? I don't turn loose someone who's injured and expect them to be able to fend for themselves as well as they could. So are you positive you'll be alright until your wing is healed?"

Charis's gaze wouldn't meet Leo's. I don't want to weigh you down.I'm not even a member of your tribe. You've done enough for me. As long as I don't get attacked I'll be ok. I'll eat fruit rather then go hunting.. He shifted his stance uncomfortably. Leo probably would be helpful in finding and getting fruit, but Charis wouldn't ask it of him. Instead Charis found himself determined to at least try to get some food on his own.
(please let Leo follow from behind unseen I worry for Charis sweatdrop )
