"Ah... Right. No need to be snappy - since some of you seem to be able to move, I thought it wasn't that heavy." Fauste muttered back, less than happy to have his kind intentions rebutted in such a way. He moved towards Balumf, staggering at first due to the moving train and his own injuries but managing to keep his balance. He then sat down beside Balumf, feeling rather awkward all of a sudden.

"Right... So, Want me to try smashing them or pulling them?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

At Cooper's laugh, he couldn't help letting out a light chuckle, his shoulders sloping down as he relaxed, "Can't say I disagree... Wasn't there a saying? Laughter is the best medicine?"

Puck cackled inside his pumpkin-head, the gourd's walls weirdly distorting the sound. "Yes, yes, very silly!" Though it wasn't so funny for the people who had been wounded. The poltergeist was having a hard time classifying the pumpkin problem as injury per se. "Get to the end, teachers'll open us up, make pies out of the leftovers. No fear!"

As far as he was concerned, the worst - and a pretty sorry worst at that - had already happened to him.

(( Regarding the pumpkins, highlight if/when you guys decide to smash/pull them off:

Smash:
You bring your hand down forcefully onto the edge of the bed. Thump! There is now a large dent in the pumpkin. You repeat this process until it comes off. Success! You wiggles your fingers in victory!

...Only to have yet another pumpkin manifest itself around your hand. At least the Jack-o-Lantern 'face' on this is cut out so you can wiggle your fingers through the mouth.

If smashed on your head, you have a moment of victory before a hallowed out 'Lantern reforms itself around your head.

Pull:
You tug and tug, and eventually it pops off!

...Only to have another pumpkin reform on your hands/head. At least this time the lantern is hallow, with enough carved out places to stick your fingers through. At least you won't be in want of pumpkins for awhile.
))

Aside from the occasional clickity-clack of the train wheels going over the tracks and the sound of footsteps, nothing else seems out of the ordinary -- not even when the latest victim is brought in and placed on an empty bed. It's starting to get a bit crowded in here...

Salali's eyelids began to drop in regular intervals, though after a moment she'd blink rapidly and open her eyes as wide as possible. If she had been able to move and had been sitting upright her head probably would have been nodding back and forth. She was tired and probably had been since she had woken up. It was easy to stay awake when you were afraid. The laughter, however, and the calmness of so many people together was bringing a lull, though. She almost wanted to sleep...

Just as her eyes began to close again, perhaps to stay shut, she caught sight of the man in heels, although only a blurry sliver from the corner of her eye. She was able to connect the ideas, though, and asked, "The fox ate another? Who?" Her brows drew close together in worry and her drowsiness was pushed back by adrenalin again.

With a final grinding tug the pumpkin broke around Jack's hand and Faint gave a roar of victory.

Only to have the pumpkin reappear right in his face.

He hissed and glared at it. He officially hated magic. It was annoying and wasted his time in fixing situations. He pulled his face into some semblance of an apologetic look over his anger and looked up to the Lantern over Jack's face. "I think they'll keep reforming. I'm sorry."

Akihiko had actually fallen asleep in the short time, the clicking of the train wheels had some what calmed him after his nap. "Hm.." He groggily looked over as there was another moved into the cart, though he couldn't make out who. So instead of trying ,he turned once more only to catch the pumpkin regrowing on Jack's head. He snickered actually finding amusement in it, pumpkin heads..heh.. The blood stained sheet was now in a bunch at the foot of his bed, his legs had kicked at it breaking his body free. Though he had fallen asleep he was nowhere near being able to jump around and try to help people, nor would he if he could...

Well, So the pumpkins reformed?
Oh, Magic, She thought, How I wish I knew you...

She liked magic, Really. And this would've seemed like a damn neat spell... IF IT WASN'T ON HER HEAD AND HANDS.
Fine. She'd be fine with her hands. Candlesticks, she'd be fine with her feet too.
But WHY OH WHY HER HEAD!!!

"T... Try the head... Maybe It'll reform to more of a fit..." Balumf said to Akihiko.

"Theres another victim? Who? Who is it?" She could see only orange.

"No. Way." Fauste stared in disbelief when the pumpkin reformed itself over Jack's head; he had learnt about the wonders of magic - being a reaper himself, he was told that magic would be very important in his life. However, while he was amazed by what he had just seen, he couldn't help but sigh, bringing his palm to rest on his forehead, "Seriously? Destroying or removing the pumpkin just makes it easier for you guys to breathe? I guess that's better than nothing..."

He turned as he heard the door open, eyes on the latest victim. He recognized the huge, puffy dress long before he saw the victim's face. She looked limp - could it be...? He paused, before mentally shrugging; there was no way that she was dead.

"Its the witch in that puffy dress," Fauste directed his answer to Balumf, but he was sure that it was loud enough for everyone in the cabin to hear, if they were paying attention, "It seems like she's out cold... Like the Shaman was..." He never did catch their names.

"Won't want for food," Puck muttered, slamming one pumpkin'ed hand against the wall of the train car. After a few strikes that rattled the little poltergeist through and through, the thing smashed away. "Fingers!" he crowed as the new pumpkin formed around his fingers, leaving little holes for him to prod his digits through. That was... slightly more like it.

He eyed the discarded bits of pumpkin rind. A bit of experimentation proved that he couldn't quite get them up to his head, let alone through the mouth-hole of the head-pumpkin. "Pfoooo."

The arrival of a new face made Puck perk for a moment. "Ah, ah, 'nother witchywitchy... fox still hunting," he added, glancing back at Salali.

"Oh, The witch with the skirt? Wasn't she the one on the fat witch's neck?"
Asked Balumf, pawing her way to a seat. The floor was allright to lie on, but not really.

In a flash of brilliant light, Belladonna's eyes snapped open and immediately squinted as she stared straight up into the lights over her bed. It was easy to ascertain quickly that she was in a bed under a bright light, but it took her mind a few moments more to catch up to the remaining events. When they did, a choked sob escaped her throat.

"I don't have a bubble butt!" She squeaked out, dissolving into a small fit of hysterics. "Its a caged hoop skirt! Why would anyone say such a thing?!" Her nerves had been too high this entire time to continue staying strong, to continue staying calm enough not to cry. And now that her limbs felt like a thousand weighted broomsticks, she knew she had been the latest victim and she also knew she was at least alive. Perhaps that was partly the reason she was now crying, though the fact that her tears were pooling awkwardly in the cave in between her nose and eyes didn't make her feel any better (it actually made her cry a bit harder). Knowing that making a fool of oneself was never appreciated, Belladonna quickly took the moment to utter a long stream of muttering, mixed in with a good sob every once and awhile, most of which concerned the fact that her parents would be appalled to find out this happened, how much she wanted to just hurry up and get to the school and largely about the fact that her beloved Binx was no where in sight to give her any comfort. This was possibly the largest blow of all.

After one last hiccup of anguish she ceased, taking deep breaths and testing out her limbs. They all weighed too much to even bother moving, so she heaved a sigh as a few more silent tears stole down her cheeks.

Trying to sound as cheerful as possible (though sounding more miserable than cheerful), she greeted them with: "Hello everyone! I hope you're doing alright."

"Pumpkin?" Puck offered Belladonna, pinching the verrrrry end of a chunk of discarded rind between what fingers he could get out of his own gourdy prison.

Faint, finally to exhausted and dizzy to keep crouching, folded his legs Indian style next to Jack's seat and let his head fall back slightly. At the arrival of Belladonna he merely blinked and grunted in a gruff sympathy. They were all injured here. There was no reason to make a fuss over the new kid.

"No no! I didn't hope for anyone to share this feeling, to feel as if their head was severed from their body. I didn't I didn't..." Salali immediately reacted with hiccups that turned into strained crying; it was a hard thing to do when you couldn't move your chest beyond the normal actions of breathing. She hadn't actually cried yet, believe it or not...but hearing the witch cry and knowing they felt the same feeling, the same restriction that was so suffocating, was a little too distressing.

"My fox is still there, he's there eating more people..." She whined. Though she was too befuddled to realize it, she had a point. What this meant was her attacker couldn't have been the cookie witch or the water horse, as they were now contained in a different cabin. So who was left? Who was still there?

Faint made a soothing noise toward Salali, unable to take the frantic sounds she made. It was hard for him to figure out just how much she was really connecting, though at this point he was almost certain she was one of the most intelligent here; even if it was oddly shown. "Your fox isn't here. You're okay." And by the looks of it, suspects were thinning out. "They'll figure out who he is soon, and then no one else will get hurt."

Was it him, or was his throat hurting more and more by the second?
