When Severus winced Tyyne gasped softly, believing his theatrics to be true. Was he alright?! Was Tarot hurting him? Oh no! That wasn't good! Should she help? Maybe she should help...but...hey! Yay! He was agreeing with her about the garden issue! Tarot just had to listen to him, he was her daddy! She smiled approvingly up at the man before turning her smile to Tarot, nodding happily until Tarot once again protested about the garden. Ugh. Not this again. She exchanged the look with her father and sighed.

"Tarot, where a garden is doesn't make it special. I already told you my garden is in my backyard and it's very special to me. Just...please? For now? You can grow a new one somewhere else later..." It just...it wasn't safe! Toddlers shouldn't be wandering all over the place and straying so far from home by themselves! There were so many people who could come up and just snatch them right up and run! She shuddered to think how things could have turned out if it had been someone else and not Tyyne that Tarot had encountered.

Tyyne's ears gave a little flick, looking around the immediate area of the house. She wanted to help Tarot start planting...could she do that? "Let's find a place to put it!" She announced cheerfully, clapping her hands together and turning to Tarot with excitement. Would this make everything okay? If they found a place to put it?

Tarot frowned. If the place she put the garden didn't matter then why did it matter that she wanted it somewhere more private! But apparently she was being outvoted, so rather than voice her thoughts she simply plotted.

"Maybe you could do a thin strip next to the sidewalk that connects the driveway to the front porch? It's not too long, so you should have enough room." Severus looked between the girls.

Tarot shrugged. This garden was gonna just be something for pretty, so she guessed it didn't really matter. "'S okay," she said, trying to inject some enthusiasm into her voice. After all, this could be practice for her special spot.

Tyyne could only hope Tarot would understand when she was older. She hummed and looked from Severus to Tarot and back again. She wasn't happy...and to be honest Tyyne wasn't sure if she liked the suggestion either. A thin strip? That was all? Ehhh...yeah, no. Tyyne didn't like this idea. She frowned a little and looked around, deviating from the pair to walk closer to the back of the house. She wanted something special, something away from everyone...but Tyyne just couldn't let her go into those hills. There had to be something she could do to help reach some kind of middle ground.

The back of the house? That could certainly work. It was a lot better, and it had more room! The deer girl peered out from behind the house and waved an arm to get their attention. "Why not over here~? It's much nicer back here!" And more secluded if that was what Tarot wanted.

Severus just waved a hand, indicating they had his blessing to plant the garden wherever they pleased. He didn't really do much with the yard anyway. Since it looked like they weren't going to the carnival today, probably the end result of plotting from Tarot, he figured he might as well fix some lunch. He went back into the house, wondering just what one fed a girl who was part deer.

Tarot stood with her arms crossed, thinking. "Wh're'd we pu' it in th' backyard," she asked. Their house was at the edge of the neighborhood, which meant they didn't have a fence or anything to mark boundries. They could have put something in if they wanted, but Sev said he didn't really see the point. Tarot didn't mind, it gave her better access to the hills and trees.

It was actually only a stone's throw (from someone with a strong arm) away from where the ground started rolling into the hills. So where's Tyyne have in mind to put this garden?

"Right here by the back of the house. See, if you put it here...there're some flowers that can actually grow up the wall!" Though they'd need to get a lattice for that. But those weren't hard to come by! She pointed at the back wall of the house and smiled. "If you ask your daddy for a lattice he could put it right there! They're really pretty, I'll bring you the seeds for them when I can find them if you like. But see, if we put it here you'll have plenty of room to slowly expand over time while starting by your house. Okay?" A compromise! That was good, right? Tyyne liked compromises.

Tyyne waited with a look of hope, biting down nervously on her lip. Would Tarot finally agree this wasn't such a bad arrangement and stop pouting?

Tarot was focusing on keeping her secrets thoughts......well....secret. She didn't think Tyyne was a mind-reader, but Sev certainly seemed like one sometimes!

"'Kay," she said, looking around at the spot Tyyne was pointing to. She wasn't really sure what the next step was. Dod they have to start digging or something?

Tyyne smiled, clapping her hands excitedly when it seemed she'd finally won. Yay! She loved when things worked out! She still had the shovel they had bought, unwrapping it from the box it was in and putting the box aside for now. They needed the shovel, after all! "Alright! So let's just plant those seeds~." She chirped, showing Tarot how to dig the holes properly. She did a few of them, taking the seeds from the younger girl to put a couple in place before moving on to the next one. After she did a few she let Tarot do the rest, keeping an eye on her to make sure she got it right, giving her the occasional handy tip. Tyyne gave her plenty of advice whenever she asked a question or whenever something came up that would need explanation or to be noted on, making sure the seeds were planted in places that would be visually pleasing when they were all grown.

"Now, Autumn and Winter are coming...which will put them to sleep for awhile, but in the Spring they'll come back!" She smiled reassuringly to the girl, gently patting the dirt over all the places they had dug. They'd just need to water them and they were all set! "Like I said, with it against this wall here you can ask your daddy to get a lattice and get the kind of plants that will grow up it, and with it starting here as it gets bigger," And as Tarot got older. "You can expand it to make it bigger!" That sounded really fun! Right? Tyyne thought so!

Tarot nodded. She'd been confused by the word lattice, and had asked Tyyne what it meant. It had given them a bit more to banter over when Tarot had insisted on calling them crossed sticks. She didn't see why she couldn't put in a bit of her own words, but Tyyne seemed a stickler for the proper procedures.

She had had fun though, mostly enjoying the process of sticking her hands into the dirt. For some reason Tarot just enjoyed earth. "Th'll be really big and pr'tty," she said, voicing her confidence in the matter. If Tyyne helped, of course they would be. She would have to hope she could do as well on her own. Good thing it was plant sleepy time, it gave her more opportunity to prepare. And hopefully she'd get bigger soon, this being little thing was really hindering.

Tyyne was perfectly fine with Tarot calling a lattice crossed sticks if that helped her remember what it was, so whatever banter that occurred was purely Tyyne just making sure she remembered what crossed sticks were in case someone else didn't understand. Tarot could call anything whatever she wanted and Tyyne wouldn't care, honestly. She smiled at Tarot when she seemed to feel better about all this, giving a nod at her words. "Uh huh! And it'll be all yours!" She looked around, noticing it was starting to get dark and frowning a little. She should head home before it got too dark.

"My momma will worry if I'm out too late..." Tyyne murmured, brushing dirt off her hands. She didn't mind that her hands were dirty, it was something that came with gardening. She'd wash her hands at home. "Do you think you'll be okay? I can give you my number to have your daddy save if you need anything or just want to hang out!"

Tarot nodded and ran in to ask Sev for some paper and a writing stick. That was the word she used when she didn't care if it was a pen or pencil. Tyyne was big so she assume she could read and right, therefore pens were fine.

Tyyne wrote something down and handed it to Sev, then smiled, waved, and said bye. Tarot watched her go, a little sad. Despite their disagreement she'd had fun. Of course the sad was dispelled the instant Sev picked her up and declared, "Bathtime!" She protested indignantly at the treatment, though Sev made it up to her by fixing some of her favorite foods for dinner after her bath.

((And I think we're done!))
