Fyra, Jaci, Horus.. what interesting names. Rynn let her mind drift to Robin. She shook her head softly to stop herself from thinking of him. Getting distracted would not be good when I'm trying to talk to other foxes. Rynn watched Fyra roast her bottom on the sand and decided that following Horus's advice to sit in the shade would be good. She moved over to the shade and gestured for Fyra and Jaci to join her. Might as well all get along for now. Horus seemed to know what he was doing so she didn't worry about him.

Jaci was momentarily distracted by a rustling buzz in the grass. She dropped into stalker mode and ghosted a few steps forward. She pounced, and there was a crunching sound, followed by chewing. The other foxes weren't a proper angle to see what she had a meal of, though it had more than likely been a bug.
Being a perma, these small creatures were more filling and worth her effort than had she been an adult. And since she had come here there hadn't been as much fish, so bugs compromised a good part of her diet now.

He smiled a bit when he noticed Rynn seemed to take his advice. Living here in the summer Horus frowned as he watched Jaci leap up into some of the grass to eat some poor insect. He made a mental note to show her to the lake where there was plenty of fish if you knew how to get around the crocodiles but since she had taken on sharks and other problems she would probably have no problem. ‘Okay so the purple vixen is Frya, I already know Jaci and the new arrival is Rynn’ Horus muttered in his head. He would have to tell Hitoru when he got down. Hopefully they stayed long enough for his some times forgetful mate to remember them. He chuckled a bit like that. “If you plan to stay for a while I’ll show you where to get a lot of fish. It probably is better than um what you where eating. I know you really like your prey from the water.” He pointed out.

Jaci shrugged, licking her paws and then bringing them up to swipe at her mouth. She repeated the gesture several times until she was sure her fur bore no trace of her meal. "Honestly, you get used to it after awhile. They even begin to taste good." She grinned her usual mischievous grin. "Someone has to keep the bug population down, wouldn't want the ladies screamin' cause a beetle got in their fur."
She was very tempted by the offer to be shown a pond. The water lizards tended to prefer the water in the giant river. Usually it was just babies in still water, and those were small enough that Jaci could take 'em down. She'd actually gotten to try the baby lizard meat, it was quite good.

Fyra moved to the shaded area so that she could cool her rump. She watched as Jaci pounced some little critter. It actually looked like fun, maybe something to teach kits, if they are ever around here.
Her ears perked up at the mention of an area for fish. She hadn't tried fish before and wanted to try it. Maybe the perma would be nice enough to catch one for her. "Who was the other up there, Horus?" the purple vixen asked when she remembered there was another on the pyramid.

Rynn watched Jaci come back from what must have been a bug snack. She smiled softly. The idea of a fish dinner did appeal to her more though. She was relieved when Horus mentioned fishing. She had enjoyed fishing with Robin and looked forward to see how it was done here.
Rynn listened quietly to Fyra's question. There are more foxes here?

Horus chuckled a bit. “Well better be careful if you meet the right beetles they will try to eat you instead” he chuckled not to worried about any of these foxes meeting the type he was talking about unless they ventured deep into some of the elaborate tombs, that seemed to be the evil beetles living grounds. “although the locusts if you can eat them the evil plague bringers… I have no problems” He glared off in the distance towards insect sounds.
“Ah yes there is one more fox here, that’s my mate Hitoru. He apparently got lost in thought. I am slightly waiting for him to come down before moving to anywhere else. The best place for shade is the abandoned temples built into the landscape.” Horus told them nodding.

Jaci eyed the water of the large river. There didn't seem to be too many of those large and lazy lizards about. "Hey Heru, what kind of fish you got in there? The water isn't as clear as back home or the ocean, I haven't gotten much of a chance to look."

Hitoru, once he got to the top seemed to get lost in the sights. The area around pyramid was huge. He looked off over past the lake and paused when he spotted what looked like a phim hovering over near the water. He tilted his head with a funny look on his face and got lost in thought about what a phim was doing all the way out there. He blinked then turned back to Horus.
"Yeah your right about the vie..." He blinked when he noticed his mate was missing. His ears went up. "Where'd he go...?"
he looked around then spotted all the foxes down at the bottom of the pyramid. He looked on in complete surprise.
"When did all those foxes get here?" He then sighed and lowered his head. "I must have spaced out again...." He looked up then started down at a trot/run. "Horus! Hey! Who are all ah!" He tripped and began tumbling his way down.
Amun looked over as he circled the little area he was going to lad it. It would seem more and more foxes were showing up by the second. They seemed to be engaged in conversation about something. He tilted his head to the side to try and see if he could hear anything that was going on. Of course being so high there was no way he could hear anything but the sign of foxes made him happy. He figured once he got a drink of water he would head over and see what the fuss was about.
He flew low and began making his way to the area he picked for landing. He slowed toward the ground and landed lightly on the ground trotting for a few seconds before stopping completely. He folded his wings then made his way over to the waters edge to drink.

”Well lets see we have Oxyrynchus which is a type of carp but those are sacred and cant really be eaten as they are associated with Osirus although if you aren’t a priest or me any of the other type is fine. We also have Rilapia, Chromis, perch, catfish and the Abdju fish.” Horus pondered thinking about the fish. Ever since he got reinstated as Insibya he wasn’t allowed to eat fish any more although he knew kemet had a large variety.”
Horus frowned and looked up to see Hitoru seemed to be down with what ever it was keeping him. “Hey Hitoru look….” The nebula colored fox looked over to the side wincing before running over. “Are you okay? You should really pay attention to your surroundings better” Horus pointed out sighing. “You scared me nearly half to death"

Jaci snickered a little. She couldn't help it, it was in her nature to mock and clumsy foxes did all the work for her. Right now she was more interested in the river. A Phim had just touched down to get a drink. She sighed a little. Phims and Daevas scared her. Not cause they were huge compared to her, but because they flew. Heights terrified the permakit.

He quickly checked over the clumsy fox licking the paw that seemed to take the brunt of the fall. After seeing that his mate was going to be perfectly fine Horus slowly shifted his gaze. As he looked out towards the river something seemed rather off to Horus. Slowly tuning out the foxes towards him, the nebula colored fox narrowed his gaze off to the river bed. The crocodiles seemed rather restless at the moment and the wide life suddenly seemed to erupt into various bird calls, hippopotamus fighting and crocodile snapping. Having to answer the question on his mind he looked back over at his group. “I’m afraid I must excuse my self for a while” he said softly before beginning his trek towards the river. A few minutes later as Horus was standing at the edge of the irrigation that ran through his land he let out a bright smile and turned towards his guests. “You three have very good timing. It’s the beginning of Ahket” he smiled very happy and then realized they would have no idea what he was talking about. “The Nile is beginning to flood. For kemet this is a very joyous time as the Nile brings the black sand the land is named after. Ahket is what most foxes would call the start of summer. Atum be praised I was so afraid seth had found a way to deny the river.”

"You got a dictionary or something, cause half of what you're saying makes no sense." The contrary perma thumped her butt on the ground and stratched at a bit of sand that had wormed it's way into her fur.
In her defense none of the names really made much sense unless one was from or knew the history of the area, and Jaci feel under neither category.
The other reason for her extra tactlessness had to do with a restless feeling under in her body. Like there was something she had to be doing or somewhere she had to be. Not like she had to be somewhere, but like something was coming at her. It wasn't in the perma's nature to just sit when she knew things were coming her way.

Horus laughed and shook his head. He had forgotten in his excitement that his new guests would have no idea what he was talking about. He had only just briefly explained it to Hitoru on the way over. “The nile floods its banks and deposits black sand on to the land. From that plants of all kind are allowed to grow and flourish. This only happens three months out of the year. However it is dependent on the modeities will how much the river floods. You know how I was talking about that evil modeity. Around here he controls chaos and the desert and we called him Seth. The main Modeities that protect kemet is Osiris and Atum.” Horus tried to explain better. “I was happy because when I saw the signs that the nile is about to flood it meant the start of our new year happened and Seth had been pushed back”

"You can tell a river is about to flood just by watching those lazy sun and water lizards fight with those giants water horses and listening to the birds sing?" Jaci's voice was actually gentler than you would believe considering how her words must have sounded. Privately she was worried for her friend. She'd heard plenty of stories of foxes going loopy in the brain, and really hoped the fate hadn't befallen Horus.
