"I do," she said. She was not as familiar with the inner workings of the outpost as Nyx had seemed to be, so the expedition would be as informative to her as it would be to her companion. She turned to Claire, "Shall we?"

She offered another nod to both, wondering to herself if Will stayed here all the time, or if he got to go back to the main base every once in a while. If he was stuck here all the time with only a few other people, that must've been incredibly boring. Lonely, too.

"Yes, let's," she agreed. "Thank you Will. Aila, do you know your way around inside?" Hopefully she did. If not, well, that would just make it all the more interesting, hmm?

"No problem," he told them, letting the two go on by themselves. After all, he had a post to guard.

"If you guys are still around later, I might catch up to you."

Yeah it could get pretty lonely down here indeed, and new faces around were always welcome.

"Very well. We shall keep an eye out for you, should you be relieved of duty during our time here," Aila said with a nod as they passed the grunt. She turned to Claire as she proceeded, slowing her pace until she was slightly behind the older woman. "Would you like to take the lead? In all honesty, you know very near the same information about this place that I do, so I fear I would not be a worthy guide." All the better to explore as a team, then.

Claire half-turned and offered Will a good-bye wave, then turned to the young woman who was slowly moving to walk behind her. Hmm. "Take the lead?" Well, Aila had led her here, so perhaps it would only be fair if it was her turn? Yes, that seemed sensible for the time being.

"Alright, I suppose I'll lead for now. But," and here she lifted up a pointer finger to emphasize the point as they walked down the broad hallway, "after a while, it's your turn to lead again. I don't want to be rude and lead us around everywhere the entire time we're here."

A faint smile, accompanied by a fainter chuckle, denoted Aila's amusement. "It is of no offense to me, if that is what worries you. It is a fair enough exchange, though, and I certainly cannot disagree to the proposal." As she spoke, she studied their surroundings. The last she had visited, she was a bit too preoccupied with relishing the feeling of being on her own two feet to analyze the building's structure well. She recognized the hall that ended with the storage closet, but the rest of it seemed almost completely alien.

In all honesty, Claire couldn't have cared less about it being rude - she just didn't like leading someone else around when she had absolutely no idea where she was going. She wasn't one to explore without a plan figured out beforehand and a general idea of where she was headed, or a general goal in mind. Not just.. go in and explore. She'd rather have a much clearer goal in mind than that. "Alright, very good," she stated with a definitive nod. There, now she wouldn't be the one in the lead the whole time.

She paused at the hallway where the storage closet was, and unlike Aila not even a tiny portion of the outpost wasn't alien to her, but regardless she passed the closet and continued onwards, before curiously turning a corner and studying their whereabouts. It certainly was an interesting place. Where was the heart of it? All the action? What did they actually do here?

The tight corridors were a good design, Aila thought to herself. Surveillance cameras, placed at just the right vantage points, would have a complete view of all activity. All in all it seemed a lot like a mini-headquarters, though, as if someone had gutted out all of the important features of the base and shrunk them to a fraction of their original size. The cafeteria in particular was a fine example of this, its size reduced to accommodate the smaller number of visitors. Not unlike Claire, though, Aila began to wonder what exactly the purpose of the outpost was. Was it as simple as a storage facility for receiving supply shipments to deliver to the main branch, or a silent sentry meant to keep watch over the city? It seemed a superficial function, especially for a building affiliated with Team Rocket.

Claire was still wondering about the purpose of the outpost, since it was so much like a miniature version of the base in the desert. Maybe, beyond just a place to receive and send out supplies, it was a small base of operations for daily work in the cities? Though, what sort of daily work, she couldn't even begin to imagine.

At the sight of the cafeteria, however, she couldn't help but enter for a brief moment to study it further. Well, so far everything they'd seen had only confirmed her ideas that this was almost exactly like the base, except a lot smaller. What else was miniaturized in this place?

Heading back out, she continued to lead Aila around the outpost, passing one or two training rooms (were they for training? They, too, were miniaturized, so she wasn't too sure if they were extremely useful for training) and what could have possibly been dormitories or offices. She paused suddenly though, turning to Aila. "This is extremely interesting so far. It seems to be exactly like the headquarters, except a great deal smaller. Would you like to lead now?"

The training area seemed it would only accommodate humans or small pokemon, Aila noticed. She imagined one would be better of doing their exercise somewhere outside rather than within the outpost. The expanse of beach between Camphoreon and Sagestone, perhaps, would be an ideal locale, or one could likely get a great deal of training accomplished on the slops of the nearby Sky Peak Mountains. Retrospectively Aila wondered why she had never done such things herself, resorting to activities similar to parkour and buildering for her own training.

"Certainly," she said with a nod. A brief glance to ascertain their exact location, and then Aila headed for the nearest staircase, descending to the lowest floor in hopes of locating the rooms that housed things such as security and a general command center. It did seem that such places of importance were kept to the lower floors at the headquarters, after all...

This was all getting a bit boring for Claire, so she was glad when Aila agreed to lead for the time being. Pausing for a moment to let the trainee past, she fell in step behind her, and Odette followed after the pair. She wanted to see everything too, after all.

Ah, a staircase! More to explore, and maybe something more interesting than miniaturized training rooms and a small cafeteria.

Claire followed Aila down the flight of stairs, but while they continued downwards, Odette fidgeted at the top, watching them. Her trainer, however, paid her no attention and turned to descend the next half of the staircase. With a huff, the bird eyed the steps critically before ruffling her feathers, and dove into a slow glide down the stairs, though her wings weren't fully extended due to the width of the stairwell. She repeated this after the pair of Rockets had finished descending the stairs, and were far enough away so the golden bird wouldn't crash into them.

"What do you think is on this floor?" She inquired, equally to herself and to Aila. Probably security or offices of some sort.

"Hopefully, the heart," she replied. "Thus far we have seen little of the equipment necessary to operate this outpost, however small it is. It is my bet that such things are kept to the lower floors, not unlike in headquarters."

Aila glanced into one of the rooms as they passed. It appeared to be an office for general use. There were a few computers inside, actually, and the trainee wondered if maybe all of the outposts residents didn't make use of them in turns.

Having stepped off the elevator just after the two girls had descended the steps and started down the hall, Will followed after them. Catching up when they managed to reach the computer room that was devoid of any human life at the moment.

"There you are. You do know there's an elevator right?" Will said with a chuckle and a smirk as he came up behind them.

He glanced into the empty room before looking back to the pair. "Having fun in your explorations?"

Odette had heard the footsteps approaching from behind them before the same sound reached her trainer's ears. Turning around, the bird was on alert until she noticed that the human was the same one from before. Oh, that was alright then. "Pidgeot."

The sound of footsteps didn't reach Claire's ears until Odette piped up, and the grunt turned to see who was behind them. "Oh, hello again Will. Done already?" Then again, he could just be monitoring this area now, as a sort of switch or bump-out. She wasn't sure how things worked.

Eying the large bird, Claire swiftly unclipped her pokeball from her belt and expanded it in one motion. "Sorry girl, but the hallway's getting a little crowded." And with that, Odette disappeared in a flash of red light.

With considerably more space for the rest of them now, the violet-eyed woman turned to face Will more directly. "Is there? Oh well, I prefer taking the stairs when possible, anyway." More exercise! "And I am. Are you, Aila?" Indeed, she was. She had thus far learned a great deal about the outpost, and had already begun trying to memorize the more important features they'd passed. Just in case.

The gentle approach of footsteps, verified by the Pidgeot's alert, turned Aila's attention to the man who came. She smiled in welcome, "Hello, Will." She nodded at Claire's justification, adding the mental note that the stairs were frequently quicker than any elevator anyway.

"Indeed, it has been quite enlightening," she replied with a nod. She was not sure if she could call it fun, but it was certainly valuable knowledge, and she was glad that she had had the opportunity to explore. There was no telling what uses such reconnaissance might have in the future.
