"Russian?" Vladimir said gently to himself, but loud enough for the other to hear in the small confines of the store. He had been weary at first, on guard, he wasnt going to say anything but.. the next thing out of the Russians mouth was.. interesting to say the least. Shovel? Skeletons?

"Burying your issues.. they're still there.. beneath the surface..." Vlad commented again softly to himself as he examined some jewelery close up. He hadnt give the Russian a look yet, just gently muttering to himself on what the guy had said.

When the owner came out from the back Vlad's eyes darted to him out of paranoia. But seeing as he was a worker Vlad tried his best to force himself to relax a bit. It wasnt someone tryign to drug you and kidnap you again. Just calm down now.

"We arent together." Vlad said gently. "And i need something nice.. expensive.. something.. unique for a... possible little... very tiny.. friend?" Vlad said looking off to the side at nothing in particular. He frowned slightly, what was he to call the creature who left him presents and odd letters? "..friend.. creature... pixie maybe? Do those exist or am i just going crazy?" Vlad said as he tapped his lip lightly with his index finger in thought. He resumed looking at the jewels. And all of this he had meant to say in his head.. but he wasnt exactly.. right up there so it ended up coming out in a soft speech the other two could hear. Unawares to Vladimir...

In all honesty, Dimitri was a little surprised that the stranger knew the language he was speaking. He wasn't so thrilled with what the man said next, however. A particular song came to mind, playing itself in his thoughts. 'Every party needs a pooper that's why they invited you; party pooper, party pooper~' Did he think whisperings wouldn't be heard in a place so small? Or was he talking softly so it would force him to strain his ears to listen? "Ah it's fine, I really need the closet space, is all," he said as someone came in from the back. He simply pointed at the customer who was here before him when asked who was first. Before he could answer the worker's next question, a reply was already given, so Dimitri said nothing yet.

As the other buyer described what he wanted, and who he wanted it for, Dimitri folded his arms over his chest with a smirk. "A tiny friend, you say? Might not be something you want to admit in public; 'specially if you're Catholic.. As for pixies, isn't that just a local superstition?" he asked, eyes flickering back to the Monochrome employee. Being new to the island, Dimitri didn't quite grasp the significance of the most generous gift and appreciative letter he found at his house earlier. All he knew about the local religion -if it could be called that- was that they worshiped fairies. Or something. He didn't really care enough to ever find out. But since they were on the topic, why not ask one of the locals now? It would be a learning experience! ..or it would solidify his belief that there was something in the water supply eroding people's minds here...

Well, from all the answers Yoakim was expecting to get, this was the last one he thought he would hear. A tiny gift for a tiny person? Was the circus in town? It wasn’t until the man dressed in black kept talking that he understood what the man wanted. He wasn’t quite sure why he wanted something so expensive and everything. Fairies were usually quite content with simple offering. His own grandmother usually only gave a flower a season, but then again, every man their fairies. ”I believe you mean Fairies, not pixies.” He said before moving around the place, going to open one of the glass windows and started to look for something that the man would fancy. ”And they aren’T just supperstion… I never saw one myself, but… how else would you explain that everyone the the island gets a gift and letter on the same night, inside their house? Or that every house has electricity while there isn’t any power plant around? Or that you find every imaginable ore in the mine? Or that the soil is fertile enough to make virtually anything grow?” Of course, he couldn’t blame the second man for being sceptic. It had taken a while for Yoakim to come to accept it as the truth too and not just something adults did for the kids.

”Everything here is custom made, so everything is unique.” He explained to the man once more. He did everything himself, afterall, so no one could have made something like that anywhere else, unless of a very weird coincidence. ”This amethyst ring here is made to fit young children, if that’s what you’re looking for.” He said as he took the small ring out of the glass box to show it to the man.

A pang of rage shot through Vladimir's eyes. He didnt like what the Russian was implying. Growling low, Vlad sneered and turned on the man his eyes blazing hellfire. "I would never touch a child! So dont imply as such, or youll be the one im getting a shovel for." Vlad hissed. Yoakim's speech distracted Vlad long enough to have him loose his rage as quickly as it had come. He turned to the man and relaxed.

"I always did wonder about those things. I didnt think much of it the first year." Vlad said as he came over to Yoakim. His voice was gentle like before, calm and collected as if he hadnt just snaped at some random stranger.

"But.. this year there was another letter and another present. And bunny tracks accompanied by what looked like small chariot tracks in the dirt just outside my home. If they are Fairies.. then.. that uproots a few beliefs i had." Vlad said honestly. "It all sounds so crazy. But i needed to see.. this thing in person. But i need some kind of offering first. And by the sound of it, the Fairy im after likes expensive things." Vlad said to Yoakim ignoring the stranger who would most likely think he was completely crazy at this point in time.

"Do you think it would be suitable?" Vlad asked as he gently touched the small ring Yaokim was showing him. "Do you think gems are the way to go? Or diamonds? But diamonds seem so cliche.." Vlad commented lightly before looking at Yaokim. Lest he understood and believed him.

When the other customer verbally reprimanded him for what he had said, Dimitri did not budge. He had heard more impressive threats from people who could actually harm him. This frail looking man looked as if he himself would snap in half if he tried to swing a shovel at someone! So, with a shrug and a polite smile, he responded earnestly. "Well, y'know what they say about men who look for blood... They find it." He then gestured for the man to go about his business with an amused expression upon his face. Listening to the worker give his own opinion about the island's fairies, Dimitri tapped his chin with the tip of a finger. They were several good points that he had neglected to look into. "I had always assumed there was a hydroelectric power plant somewhere.. As for the mine, I intend to find out for myself, hence why I am here, amongst other reasons."

All of Dimitri's attention shifted to the other patron in the shop when he spoke of rabbit and chariot tracks. Such things were specifically written about in the letter he had received! And he had to admit, whoever had left him that letter sounded like an arrogant, aristocratic a**. So an expensive 'offering' -as the mystery writer had called it- would make sense.. "Hey. That letter of yours.. Was it laced in sarcasm and generally disgruntled in nature?" he asked the other patron stiffly. Dimitri's expression was aggressive, almost borderline angry; as if he would floor the man if he was making this up. There were two possible outcomes now, logically. One, this talk of fairies was real; a path that reason itself screamed out against in denial. Two, the towns people were messing around with him; in which case, he really would be needing a shovel to bury a few people- er, things...

"If so.. I think we might be after the same goal, here. Though I don't expect to find anything on this goose hunt, myself." As the park ranger, he had yet to see anything mystical in the woods. Aside from tourists getting lost despite the multitude of posted signs saying to stay on the trail. Damn, it was like those idiots were just begging to get mauled by a bear or something..! Folding his arms across his chest, he continued. "If our letters really do have the same author, then I think I know how to get something it wants," he said confidently with a wolfish grin.
