A word or two slipped out of Herman's mouth when he found his arm pinned completely. He struggled with it just a bit more, but found he couldn't move it at all. "Oh, I've got plenty to share. Just let me get it out and I'll show you." the man spat, glaring back up at the hero.
By now Gold Star had floated down enough that she was on the ground as well. Still staring down at Herman. But that was about all the interaction she made with anyone.

"Wow. Sure I will. Because that's clearly not a thinly veiled threat at all," Spidey said idly, yanking Herman's arm behind him and away from the pocket even as he pulled him to his feet. Then he blinked and turned to look at Gold Star. "Hey... You're being... quiet."

Gold Star blinked a moment, then seemed to realize that he was talking to her. "Oh, it's nothing." she replied with a smile. Though it looked a bit faked. "Just curious to see a different version of Shocker, that's all."

"Oh, that's right," Spidey recalled. If he'd noticed how forced the smile was, he didn't seem inclined to comment on it. "You were there for Mr. Quilted Northern, weren't you? ... Wait... No, you weren't," he realized, frowning under his mask, "I bumped into him right after Supergirl left with you." As he spoke, he webbed HIS version's arms behind his back, then webbed his ankles together for good measure before lowering him back to the ground and starting on Lori and her mother. "Whatever. The costume was pretty hilarious, right?"

Firestar chuckled and shrugged, "Okay, I guess I don't have any of your talent for humor, Spidey. So, do we need more info, or do we perform the 'stop an' drop' at Riker's for these three?"

Gold Star's smile wavered and she visibly tensed when Peter mentioned that he didn't recall her meeting Shocker. She relaxed however once he moved on with the conversation. "Yeah. I mean, what was his theme? A pineapple?" she replied, attempting a smile again.
She glanced over towards Fire. "More info? Oh, what were they doing? I kind of missed most of it." she replied. "Oh." she said, suddenly snapping her fingers.
There was a small pop noise, and Herman practically jumped out of his skin. The next moment, a small device appeared in the air in front of Star. "This was in his pocket. Some kind of new...vibro-shield or something?"

Firestar mimed scratching her hand, "Now, hold on a moment. Mr. High Intellience Low Wisdom here could have say sold his inventions for a small fortune, BUT instead of that -- he uses his brilliance to rob a nickel-and-dice store for it Goobers and Sweeties. Does that about cover it?"

Spidey shifted a little, seeming honestly uncomfortable. "Not... really. In all honesty, though, Herman, I know about two... and a half people who would totally give you a job if you just stopped being stupid about this."

Herman replied with sharp glare directed in Spider-Man's direction. "Really?" he spat. "And who would that be? One of your teachers?"

Herman's scowl fell and turned into something close to surprise. "Fury...? As in SHIELD?" he said with skepticism in his voice.
