"If you think you wouldn't get tired." He said, blinking. Hadrian had never thought of flying as a skill, but now that she mentioned it he supposed it was in a way. "It would be good excercise."

"I don't get tired easily." Her wings fluttered gently as if to prove her point. Then she tilted her head to one side and studied him thoughtfully. "Do you get tired when you fly so much?"

"After awhile, yup." Hadrian answered thoughtfully. "It depends how fast I go, and it takes a little while." He grinned and shrugged, "I think I'd get tired before I finished a very big book." Not that he wouldn't probably get distracted before he got tired...but still.

"I might, too, but I am willing to test that idea." Galatea smiled a bit again, shy and warm and precious. "I heard a saying once that nothing ventured is nothing gained. If you don't try, you can never know and I want to know. I want to learn. Don't you?"

"Yeah, I do." Hadrian said, smiling his warm encouraging smile. "I do alot of 'venturing' really. And today I learned something about logs already!"

At his indirect mention of her teaching him again, Galatea blushed and looked downwards as she rubbed the inside of her wrist. There was quiet for a moment and then she made a muted, strange noise as if something had only just occured to her. Looking up once more, she studied him. "Did you come out with your bond?" she asked and she hesitated slightly over the final word. She wasn't sure if he had a special name like she did. She chewed he bottom lip. "Are they going to be worried about you, being here with me?"

"Nope." He shook his head, and sat down on the log. "We don't go around much together. She certainly doesn't have time to go around doing everything I want to do." He smiled reassuringly at her, because he was begining to worry she might chew through her lip if she kept up the nervous habit. "Mom...my bond...and I talked about it a while ago. When I 'grew up' I guess. When I was a kid, I didn't usually go very far without her at all."

Pink eyes wide, she stared at him. "You call her... Mom?"

He opened his mouth a bit...then closed it and glanced down at his hands looking self concious, "Ah...yeah. Its...well no one else seems to think of their bonds as parents. But that's what I've always called her."

Galatea's hand, purple and small, touched his gently and then slipped away again in almost record time. When he looked back up, she was once more her designated distance from him and her eyes were still round with wonder. "I think," she murmured, "I think that is nice for you. You must be very close to her."

"I guess so. I mean...I guess maybe we're closer then most feien and their bonds. I never really thought about it like that." He did his little head tilt expression again, "I suppose, that its just how I think bonding ought to be."

The younger feien nodded even as she tried to sort through his words and arrange them in context of her own experiences. The slight crease of her forehad gave away a bit of unease. "And... Does she teach you things?"

The question distracted Hadrian from his thoughts concerning his growing suspicions about Galatea's 'Captain'. He broke into a brilliant smile. "Oh yes! She makes things...buildings things. When I was little she helped me build a house for myself. I used to help her in her workshop. I still do, sometimes, when I'm around."

"A house of your own?" The concept clearly tickled her and she half-smiled again. "A place just for you to go and rest and think? Oh, I'm sure that is so refreshing." Galatea paused then for a moment and then nodded to herself. "I will ask my Captain for a house," she announced shyly. "I think she will give me one. She has given me some very nice things and she lets me read her books and watch her when she does things in our quarters."

Hadrian couldn't argue with her reasoning exactly. But the way she talked about 'her Captain' was slightly odd. Maybe it was that he didn't think letting you read books or watch while someone works was anything that major. But it was something anyway. "Its nice to have a place of your own. I've worked on mine since I've been back home. Its alot of fun!" He grinned, "Maybe she could help you make a house, you could work together."
