The first and second time I played through this game, I used Cloud, Barret, and Red XIII. The third time, I used Cloud, Barret, and Tifa.

first time through it was cloud, tifa, and barret, but i normaly have tifa and cloud in my party with ether cid, vincent (probubly my best game is with him in the party), or red XIII.
i never use cait sith (other than when i have to) and yuffie i use when i need to morph things (almost 100% succsess rate with her ultamit weapon) or do her sub quest.

Part 1: Cloud, Aeris and whoever needed to level up the most.
Part 2: Cloud, Cid and whoever needed to level up. Why Cid? Cloud would be my smasher while Cid was my materia man. He had a weapon that makes Materia grow three times as fast.

Cloud, Red XIII and I had Aeris until... yeah, and then I changed her to whoever I needed to level up... which was Tifa. I never really did pay much attention to her...

I had Cloud, Aeris and Red XIII for a long time, but after the whole Aeris thing I kept switching around... Recently I had Cloud, Yuffie and Vincent. Now I've taken a fancy to having Red XIII in Vinnie's place... And it seems like he's always leveling up faster than Vinnie ever did. sweatdrop

cloud of course since i can't kick him out and replace him even though he's like 30 levels above everyone else. tifa and yuffie.
only for the moment because yuffie needs all her limit breaks so i'm trying to train her into getting them. i heart tifa so i keep her all the time. she has a moderate power, most people don't like her b/c she only hits twice, but put her with double-cut -all and added -effect - contain. and SHE KICKS BUTT!!!! ^.~ i heart my tifa

i always had cloud aeris and whoever needed to level up, but for things like big boss fights, i would have cloud, vincent, and yuffie O_o ppl underestimate yuffie a lot, but she was one of my strongest characters.......

Cloud, Vincent (MUST HAVE), and either Tifa or Yuffie I switch off when ever one gets a level higher than the other. mrgreen

every time i play through i play with different team usally end up with cloud barret and tifa as the have the best limit breaks. biggrin
