 JayceeShe walked straight to the bookshelf, more than curious what kind of books she would find in this room. In others she found everything from history, to geography, to complex mathematical proofs. She had found them all interesting to a point. She wasn't a big history fan or anything, but it was still interesting to be able to spout off random facts sometimes. Just as she was picking up a book to read the jacket, she heard the door open and the sound of Ezkayl's voice. Jumping, she turned around to turn a brighter red than he. He was wet and still wrapped in a towel. Clumsily putting it back on the shelf she headed for the door. "Sorry. Sorry. Sorry," she kept saying with each step back to the door.

EzkaylGiggling a little at her reaction he said "it's ok don't leave i'll just be a second' walking towards her to try to stop her from leaving as he was nearly over to her his towel slipped, before it could fall he grabbed it and held it in place "i think i will put some clothes on before we talk" he grinned before walking over into the walk in wardrobe and quickly put on some pants not bothering with a shirt he walked back out drying his hair then dropping the towel around his neck he looked at Jaycee "i guess you've been exploring then? did you need to know anything or anything you find not to your satisfaction?" he queried sitting down on the bed looking at her expectantly.

JayceeHer blush became a deeper red when she heard his giggles and her pace sped up, shying away as he moved closer to her. Seeing his towel slip, a squeak escaped and she jumped around so she couldn't see him. She heard him retreat and the rustle of clothes. As he spoke again, she turned around, still a bright shade of red that she was sure she had never turned before. She watched him sit down on the bed as her blush started to fade. He's actually pretty cute, she thought, only to have her blush brighten again. Hoping he didn't notice, she nodded. "I think I have explored most of the inside," she said softly, standing there a little awkwardly. Seeing him still wet and more than half naked got her all bothered and she wasn't exactly sure why. Did I have a crush on him? she asked herself. "No complaints that I can think of, other than there is a lot of space... does everyone stay here? Or does your staff leave?" She was trying to distract herself from him by really looking at the room.

EzkaylSmiling widely Ezkayl spoke softly "there's no need to be so embarresed you didn't see anything.. or is there something your not telling me" his smile went from happy to sly "yes there is alot of space in the manor as for your question so of the people here do leave as though this may seem to be the head quarters for the company it isn't really alot of them just come to confer with me or other members of staff some of the staff like two of the cleaners whom i am not sure you have met the head chef and his apprentice and Azael and Edward all have their own quarters within that complex over there" he said pointing out of the window to a small cluster of buildings a short distance away. "Edward and the head chef have been serving the family quite some time now Azael was hand picked by me as both my assistant and my understudy should anything happen to me prior to the continuation of my family line the cleaners and the chefs apprentice are all recent additions also" he looked at her and wondered to himself "gee i wonder how much i just bored her"

JayceeJaycee reddened more when he called her on her thoughts. He had no idea what was going through her head, but she couldn't help the blush and how close his words hit home for the particular subject. As he continued to speak, she listened in silence, walking to look out the window as he gestured. She could see the small complex of buildings, tilting her head in interest. "So those who do decide to stay here get their own little place apart from the manor? Or do you decide who stays and who doesn't, with the option to not? And what is your business anyways? It's nothing illegal, is it?" She wasn't bored, really, she was actually curious.

He noticed the increasing red in her cheeks and realized what he'd hit on choosing to ignore it for the moment he continued by answering her questions "no they choose to stay though if i believe someone to be unsuitable to stay on the premises then i can ask them to leave though i haven't had that problem so far as for the business it's hard to explain what we do though i can give you my honest word that it is nothing illegal and no trouble can come of it" he walked over to where she stood on by the window and placed his hand gently on her shoulder "i hope you are coming to realize that i really mean you no harm i only wanted to help" he glanced down then out the window "i think i'm falling for you" he let his words trail off.

JayceeShe nodded as he spoke. She vaguely wondered how that would go if he asked someone to leave. She was sure they would take badly. She looked out at the grounds, her tail swinging lightly behind her. It was a pretty large estate, at least to her. She had been living in tight quarters with people that didn't really want anything to do with her her entire life. Her ears twitched slightly as he came closer to her. His hand, though light on her shoulder, made her flinch and tense, her tail falling to between her slightly spread legs. His words fell on her ears. She did know that he meant her no harm and that he only wanted to help, but she didn't like being so close to someone. And then his last words hit her ears, seemingly loud in her mind. The color drained from her face in terror, she didn't know why, but she was scared of those words. Without a word, she turned from beneath his hand and ran out the door and through the house to the back door, opening it and rushing out to the trees.

Before he could even react she was gone he knew his mistake and did not run after her, not immediately anyway he collapsed back into on of the large soft chairs in his room sighing "that was the stupidest thing i've ever said" he said aloud though there was no one in the room to hear it a tear fell down his cheek "what have i done?' he asked not expecting a response "you have found love sir" Azael answered quietly from the door way Ezkayl looked up shocked quickly dashing the tears from his eyes though not before Azael saw them "sir, you have to go after her despite the fact she's afraid i feel that she wants to trust you but finds it hard because of the past you need to find her and appologize" "point one, DON'T call me sir point two i understand not why i need to appologize for the truth" Ezkayl said as another tear formed "Ezkayl you need to go after her for a feeling like this does not come along very often, also your "family" is out back in the woods they are expecting you" Ezkayl nodded gently and took off out the dooor and out into the woods.

JayceeJaycee didn't know what to do. No one had ever said that to her, ever, not that she can remember anyways. The first thing she could remember from when she was little was one of her 'brothers' from her foster family telling her that her parents hated her and that's why she was with his family. She was only about four and she ran out the door in tears. She realized then that she was crying as she ran. She moved around trees and over things like she had been born to run. There was no thought in it or care, she needed to get away. She ran until her sobs made it too hard to run without collapsing. She saw a tree with a good chunk of the trunk carved out from age and animals, just big enough for her to curl her small frame into. Curling up, she cried herself to exhaustion. She wondered if Ezkayl would come after her as she slipped off.

Ezkayl ran out the back door and looked around "she will have made for the woods" he thought and started towards them as he entered the woods he slowed down her lack of thought during her flight made her easy to track he followed the trail of broken twigs and fallen leaves soon he heard someone weeping "it must be her" he stopped for a moment to catch his breath then walked towards the sound seeing her collapsed there he approached slowly "Jaycee, i'm sorry it was not right of me to say that" he went and sat down beside her but not touching her "i hope you can forgive my stupidity"

JayceeJaycee sniffled as she heard Ezkayl approach. She looking up at him as he sat beside her. She appreciated that he gave her at least a little space, but she was almost hoping that he would have pulled her into his arms. She couldn't have it both ways though. Pushing him away and the wanting him was not the way to go about any of this. She just laid there as the tears settled, shaking her head. "It... I...," she started. She sighed and sat up, wiping the tears from her cheeks, streaking dirt across them. She had leaves and grass stuck in her hair. "I'm sorry I ran," she said softly. She kept her eyes on the ground and not looking at him, she wasn't sure what to say or do.

EzkaylEzkayl looked at her almost sadly knowing he couldn't do what he wanted too "it's not your fault i shouldn't have said what i did it was very stupid" he looked down as a tear started to form in his own eye he sat quietly for a minute "i'd understand if you felt to unsettled to stay at the manor tonight i can organize one of the units in the staff complex for you if you'd like... wait did you hear that" Ezkayl's ears pricked up as a large wild cat approached them from the cover of the trees followed by two younger cats and another much larger cat approached them from behind "Mom?" Ezkayl stood up walked over and hugged the first cat he had noticed "Jaycee this is my mum... sort of..? i guess?. ok well this is who i was raised by. And you're sitting in her house" he laughed.

JayceeJaycee just sighed and shook her head. She couldn't explain it to him. "You shouldn't have to hide your feelings," she said softly. Especially since I can't explain why I even care what you think or why the feelings are mutual, she thought. As she was about to answer him about the room situation, she heard the same noise he did. Pressing herself into the side of the area she occupied in slight fear. She had never seen wild cats before, not that big anyways. She relaxed a little as he introduced his 'mom'. She scooted out and behind Ezkayl, just barely peeking out from behind him.

Ezkayl looked at Jaycee "you don't have to hide sweetie they won't hurt you they know you're with me" one of the smaller cats had snuck around next to Jaycee while she was peeking over Ezkayl and now brushed up and nuzzled against her "he likes you" Ezkayl sat on the ground and the other smaller cat tried crawling into his lap and he laughed "i missed you too" he looked at Jaycee happily
