The redhead looked serious enough - or perhaps a better word was sincere, given the slight upward curve to her lips. Better to laugh than curse, unless you really, really needed to swear.

"Being your date, I qualify as more than just 'someone,'" Nadja pointed out with an arched brow and a dry tone, "but yes. Agreed." It was in everyone's best interests, including the subordinates who had to deal with them.

Seth's policy seemed to be the opposite of hers. He preferred to swear than to laugh. Yet, he chuckled lightly as she pointed out his error.

"Point," he replied, then continued with a nod of his head. "Good, I'm glad we can see eye to eye." Relatively speaking anyway. Then she wouldn't mind if he pulled off his tie and unbuttoned his collar, which he did with one hand. Much better.

When they arrived back to the base though, Seth parked the car and escorted Nadja back up to the elite floor.

That drew a speculative sidelong glance, then a smirk at the irony of that statement coming from a man over half a foot taller than her. "It certainly simplifies things."

The redhead wore a thoughtful expression as they left the garage and studied him sidelong as the elevator climbed upward. When the doors opened on the fourth floor, she voiced what was on her mind.

"Why on earth would you choose something like that if you hate it so much?"

There was pause at her question, but after a moment Seth exited the elevator along with Nadja. He frowned a bit, but soon gave his reply.

"For some reason I thought you might appreciate it. It seemed like a good idea at the time."

However, it appears that he had been wrong in that regard. And while there were a few unusual things he had done this evening, he wasn't going to admit to that one.

"Well." The redhead gave him an amused look. "The thought counts, and the experience was.. illuminating, so don't count it a total loss - and it was nice to see you being a gentleman."

The hallway was quiet and empty, leaving Nadja's low, murmury voice to carry. She paused outside her door, keycard in hand, and considered Seth for a moment, a corner of her mouth quirked upward knowingly. There were soft, heavy footfalls and something snuffled around the base of the door.

"I think we'd both benefit from something a little more active next time. That battle would do."

Even though the date was somewhat of a disaster, perhaps she was right in that it wasn't a total loss. "Hn, perhaps. It isn't every day I get to spend an evening with a lovely lady, after all." A smirk them sliding across his features.

As they paused at the door, Seth's hands slid into his pockets. That smirk broadening as she brought up the promised battle. "Agreed. I look forward to it.

"Pff-" An amused sound escaped the redhead's lips, which twisted in a dubious shape on the verge of laughter as she gave him a look. His ego was certainly intact.

"Good night, Seth," Nadja said with amused finality. "Keep an eye on that headache." She opened her door to meet a wall of orange and cream-colored fuzz, wiggling in the overwrought 'oh I'm so happy to see you' dance of dogs everywhere and making anxious little 'bwurf bwurf' noises. The elite's voice took on an authoritative tone. "Moloch, down. No. Good.."

The door clicked shut.

Seth just returned that look with one of his own, that smirk never failing.

"Good night," he replied as the woman opened the door to be greeted by an excited Arcanine. He hummed thoughtfully to himself as he watched her go, the door shutting behind her.

With that he meandered back down the hall to his own quarters.
