Ialu regarded the elf for a long moment, as if trying to figure out if this was a trap. What could Eladrian really gain? So Ialu was Egyptian. There were thousands of others like him. And that was assuming that Ialu meant those 'features'. But all the same, Ialu didn't see any way this could come back to bite him. He could leave at any time, and he'd have all of those jewels. He finally smiled slightly and nodded, "Thank you, sir-... or, uh, Eladrian..." He smiled again, looking to the bag, "We can keep our halves together for now, I'll take my half if I leave. Otherwise, I'm just happy using them for living expenses... And I suppose we need some clothes as well. I-..." He watched Eladrian, "What am I aiding you in?"

Eladrian smiled. "My mission as a Knight of I'lria is a search and retrieve, the ruler of my land's son had runaway to the south with a lover. It is my Lord's wish that I retrieve him." He Whistled again those same three notes this time more insistently "I and a few of my men managed to cross the boiling sea. Our boat didn't last and I and my mount where the only survivors...Ahh here she is." he turned his head, hearing the sound of galloping hooves. A fine gray mare came over the crest of a sand dune, her body was like polished silver, her mane and tail where pure white. The mare ran recklessly down the dune, kicking up sand. her features where that of an Arabian-horse, But as she came closer, several differences could be seen, her hooves where cloven like a deer or a goat and it had long white hair floating about them. Her tail was longer, and appeared to be a hybrid of a lion and a horse. It whipped about in joy as the gray mare stopped a little distance away. She wore no saddle, no bridle. a gilded harness about her shoulders and wither held a scabbarded long sword and a small pack. "A'shua Maya," Eldrian held out a hand to her, smiling with joy. "Ah'sheen, Ah'sheen." He spoke soothingly to her. yet the horse-creature stay it's distance, her nose quivering at the sent of the stranger.
((Maya is a horse/unicorn hybrid.More horse-like then uni.))

Ialu watched the mare run towards them, taking a few steps back in alarm. This wasn't a normal horse. What was the land like across the vast, endless seas? Was this normal for an Eldren? Perhaps that was why they kept to themselves so much. Ialu felt like filth next to this shining, gleaming god of a man. And his mount was just like him, splendid and wonderful and humbling. Ialu used what he knew about horses, bringing his hands out in front of him, low, nonthreatening. He bowed his head as well, staying back until Eladrian told him differently. He knew an animal of this size could be dangerous.

"Ialu...." the elf moved closer to him and embraced him from behind holding his hand within his. "...She won't come any closer to you, becuase you are...no longer pure." He whispered. "A creature like her is sensitive to things like that. I am going to use my scent to mingle with your to let her know that you are my friend..." the words where whispered in the man's ear. Unicorns usually came to young virgin women, sometimes they could be bred if they where encouraged, Maya was the result of such breeding, she didn't have the horn, but a pearl-like jem in her forehead where the horn would be. Eladrian saw the uncertainty in the mare's eyes. He whispered to the man in his arms."Do not fear, I will protect you." he pulled Ialu's fingers open offering them to the Mare. "Close your eyes and think of the most purest, beautiful dream you've ever had..."

Ialu felt the man wrap around him, and he gasped softly. Eladrian's hold was so warm, comforting. The whispers tickling his ear, he nodded just slightly. He was afraid if he spoke that he would scare the creature off, but he was also afraid that if he spoke, he would show some of what he was trying to keep down inside of him. Impure. That was the definition of what he was. It was easy, with a master and slaves around him, to forget what those outside would think of his lifestyle. Ialu had never chose to be a slave, and he was good at his job. Rarely was he ever ashamed. But he felt so now, in the arms of this beautiful man, with this mythical creature standing there, unwilling to touch him. He swallowed hard and shoved that thought away. It didn't matter. He needed to focus. He closed his eyes and thought of the one pure thing in his life. And in an instant, he felt like he was there, sitting in his mother's lap. He was barely four, his head shoved to the traditional side lock all Egyptian boys had. His mother was darker than him, almost nubian, her long black hair braided and her arms thick and warm. She was telling him a story about his father, whom he had never met. She was telling him that his father had the most beautiful pale skin, and blue eyes, just like Ialu's. He smiled, resting his head back on Eladrian's shoulder slightly, eyes closed, hand out. He remembered laughing, just because life was good, and it had bubbled up inside him with child-like realization that the moment he was in was eternal. His mother holding him, and Ialu basking in her adoration, unaware of the life he would face.

Eladrian could feel the man in his arms relax. a soft sound of Ialu inadvertently laughing. Maya's ears perked up, her dark indigo eyes fixed on them, She could smell her rider's sent mingle with the strangers, yet her sixth sense told him that the stranger could be dangerous, but... the horse felt joy from him and she was attracted to that. She stepped closer, the sand muffling her whisper light steps. Her nose quivered, the outstretched hand looked far darker then the pale one that held it. If she had been a pure unicorn, she would have bolted then and there, the hybrid creature sensed something deeper then just mingled scents there was an inherent rightness to it. Maya put her dark silver muzzle in Ialu's hand, her deep violet eyes moist with understanding.
Eladrian smiled and brought Ialu's other hand to gently caress her face. "Easy now....take it slow, don't want to scare the other now do we?" he said to the both of them.

Ialu felt the velvety soft muzzle press into his hand and his heart surged. He opened his eyes and smiled, feeling peace wash over him. Eladrian controlled his other hand and he was nearly trembling as he stroked down the length of her majestic nose. His entire life, Ialu had never seen anything quite so beautiful. Any sense of sorrow or offense he had felt before vanished into the moment. He glanced back at Eladrian and laughed softly, unable to keep the pure joy from bubbling up in his throat. He whispered, "She is so beautiful... I can feel joy just looking at her, just touching her like this..." Ialu couldn't really remember feeling this happy, and he had a feeling that a person like Eladrian would only bring about more happiness. He hoped so, at least.

The Elf smiled. "Now that she knows you better, we can ride double on her." He let go and moved towards her back with a fluid movement he mounted the horse. Maya gently nuzzled Ialu to follow suit. Eladrian offered a hand. "Just jump up and throw your leg over, hold tight to me, I do not use a saddle or bridle, but I won't let you fall." Maya stood stock still, all four hooves planted firmly into the sand.

Ialu smiled. He had rode plenty of horses, so this was familiar territory. Maya was a much taller than the average horse, but Ialu had always ridden Arabians, so the difference wasn't that far off. He reached up, clasping Eladrian's hand. Though he still felt weak, sheer will gave him the boost to leap up and straddle the creature. He smiled and sank against Eladrian's shoulder, arms wrapped tight around him. This felt familiar, right, even. His legs gripped a little tighter than he needed, maybe, feeling a bit fearful of falling. But he knew Eladrian wouldn't wouldn't let him go. He spoke softly into his partner's neck, "Where are we going?"

"we are going to meet up with a friend of mine, and hopefully he won't mind me staying with him for another night." Maya's stride was smooth, long, almost gliding across the sand. her steps didn't jar her riders at all and yet was as swift as the wind. His legs pressing the sides of the horse, his hands holding firmly on her milky mane and the strap she wore. The sword clanged a bit agsint the small pack. The Elf Felt himsefl blush,Maya's movements caused them to press together and He could feel Ialu's muscular thighs pressing against his backside and legs, the last time he rode double on a horse was when he was a small child.

Nodding into his shoulder, Ialu let himself drift. He held tight to Eladrian, but his mind was too weary to keep awake, so he drifted into his own dreams. Riding Maya was enough to inspire even beautiful, hopeful dreams. Ialu felt like he was riding on the wind, and his dreams became misty as they dashed though. He imagined Eladrian was suddenly facing him. They soared together, like sand picked up but a fitful desert whirlwind. Ialu was staring into Eladrian's unearthly eyes, and melting into his strong, pure body. Ialu smiled into Eladrian's shoulder, letting himself dream.

Eladrian rode south east until he spotted the caravan. It was late in the night and they had stopped and put tents up. Smiling as he spotted a familiar looking tent he guided Maya closer. "Oiy!" He called out, one hand raised. "Oiy! Amun!" Several people came out of the tents, his former slave-owner came hurrying out. "Eladrian!, So you've not been killed? Praise the gods!" Amun rushed out to meet them. the man was darker then Ialu with a turban on his head. He glanced to the other rider. "Who is that?" he gasped, "The Shana-ete's prized slave! Eladrian? waht have you've done!?" "I liberated him, he's my retainer...I am proper Lord now Amun, I expect to be treated as such." The elf said. "As a fellow traveler, May I ask the courtesy of sharing your fire?"

Ialu woke fully at Eladrian's call, groggily looking about. It was late and hard for his eyes to focus, but he could see fires. He smiled into Eladrian's shoulders. As they came to a halt, he recognized the dark skinned man immediately. Eladrian's former owner. So, they really were friends. He watched the two of them converse, then felt the gaze turned on him. He smiled when Eladrian stuck up for him, letting his arms slip so he could dismount. Sliding off the flank of the beautiful creature, he landed on his feet and held his hand out to Amun, "I am Ialu. I know I would also be very much obliged if we could share your company." He glanced back to Eladrian. A Lord? It made Ialu's head spin.

Amun hesitated and shook his hand, Then turned to Eladrian as the elf dismounted. "You must have paid a heavy price for your retainer....Oh he's wounded!" "I have an ointment that will heal him, If you lend me your cutter I can give you the silver he wears. I would be willing to pay you for some proper clothing." He indicated the kilts they both wore. Amun nodded. "then... come into my tent, I have food and wine, you may sleep in my tent as honored guests Lord Eladrian." Eladrian gave him an elegant bow. "My thanks Amun..." He unbuckled the sword and carried it and the small pack into the tent calling for Ialu to follow.
Once the men where gone, Maya whinnied and took off across the dessert. Neighing with joy, kicking up her heels as she disappeared over the dunes. She would come again at her master's call.
