Grieverr Yeah, the conventioneer achievement is kind of unfair. I know they want people to come to conventions, but not everyone can. It's like you have to pay actual money to get the achievement, which is kind of ridiculous. That's the case with cash related achievements too, unless you want a virus and/or to be on a mailing list for eternity.

How do you unlock more achievements? I'm kinda stuck with some left that are nearly impossible to do:
Bidding War
Elocutionist
Happy Birthday! (next March)
Clambake (see next one)
Gender Swap (not ready to spend that much gold just for a one use item)
Conventioneer (haven't been to one in 5 years)
Mark Twain
Megathread

found out the gender swap gives you 2 for free, so that took care of that and clambake. and I finally finished the megathread.
down to:
bidding war (no good ones out there today)
conventioneer (yeah right)
happy birthday...
mark twain (idk what counts toward that)
elocutionist (I'm at about 4600 posts/10000).

For the bidding war, I just put up a cheap starter shirt in the marketplace on a mule account and then had a bid war with my main account and another mule.

When I saw how much more effort I would need for achievements, I kind of just gave up and am now letting them happen if they happen.

Never give up. Though the convention one might be difficult, since I don't know the next time, if ever, I'll get to one.
Take another 7 years to get to 10k posts maybe lol.

It's always funny when someone introduces achievements for something you've already done so you get it instantly.
I experienced this in Fable II for the "Nut Cracker" achievement, and in Gaia for the "Forum Regular" achievement.
