Cloud wins over Sora.
Think about it. If you maxed out Sora and compared his stats to Cloud's at the end of FFVII, Cloud would overkill Sora.
But even if it was the KH Cloud, Cloud @ level 99 would easily beat Sora at level 99(considering Cloud is a much better fighter all around).
And to tell you the truth, I think Cloud is the best badass of all time. I think Squall would lose to Cloud even, but that's just me.
Then you have to consider that Sora's stats if he were an FF7 character would match up to Clouds pretty decently.
And then we have the fact that Sora has a lot more at his disposal than Cloud, Ars Arcarnum, Strike Raid, Dodge Roll, Second Wind, Sonic Blade, Trinity Limit, Magic that can go to more advanced levels that Clouds, such as Stopga and Aeroga. And then to if off, he does have his own summons. Cloud has a sword, magic, summons, and limit breaks. Limit breaks are one time use, by the time Cloud gets one, Sora's already shown him what the blitzkrieg was like by having the ability to use his special attacks limitlessly.
Cloud on KH, may I remind you, also got owned pretty damn hard by Sora, quite a few-times. At maximum stats for Sora I'm taking Cloud down in minutes, coupled with Ultimate Weapon/Keyblade and some funky magic, he goes down like a b***h.
Fanisim doesn't win out here.
I mean, with KOTR, which would always be the fans biggest line of defence, then Cloud could probably win, if Sora didn't have Second Chance and Tinkerbell.
xp It's also sad that I know all these moves and shtuff.
xp And in general: Buster Sword Vs. Keyblade arguments don't match up. Since when the hell did a weapon make the ultimate difference in a Final Fantasy game? If you wanted to play the field like that then Sephiroth is a moron, because the point of balance in his masamune would break his wrist. The buster sword would cause the stomach lining of Cloud to rupture and give him a hernia. Then we also take in the other things like why does Tifa Vs. A Big Robot on FF7, like the motorcycle chase boss not break her knuckles and toes upon striking the robot?
Weapon's never mattered in Final Fantasy, you could weild a tree branch and still be the biggest bad-a** ever. FF Logic man.
