Makyo whispered softly to Kora " Is he bothering you?" as he was ready to serve Kora at any cost, not even caring if this guy was higher rank than him or not. If Kora gave any order, he would follow it to the letter. Everyone pound your feet to this phenomenon
Now let's make it loud and show them all this phenomenon

Kora raised up an eyebrow to Arete when he said that. Though it seam strange for a stranger to say that to someone they just met, but quickly shrugged it off with her smile. "Well thank you. That's nice of you to say." She replied to him.
She than moved her eye's to Mayko the question. "Not at all, Mayko. Meeting new people are always nice." Kora replied to him in a normal tone. She doesn't know that he's holding his gun under the table, just like if Arete is a shapeshifter.
"So Mister Muse. You know well about the close relationship of friends and the strength, do you?" She asked the man as she took a sip on her hot chocolate till it was gone. She only asked the question since he responded it earlier that seam like the good subject to start.

Arete beamed at Kora. Naturally he agreed with her, and didn't think anything ill of Makyo's insecurity. Now that he knew who Kora really was, it was only natural to be wary of a stranger who would so casually get close to the Queen. "Please, just call me Arete. But aye, friendship is a very powerful and sacred thing. It can transgress formalities and lead people to accept one another for who they truly are, not just the mask they wear before the rest of the world." Arete explained, trying to pass on his own bit of wisdom to Kora. "Do you have many friends, Ms. Summer?"

Both hands on the table, and the black cross on his right palm could be seen very clearly for anyone around. He simply watched at them both with the tip of his eyes just in case anything would go wrong, he could defend Kora. Everyone pound your feet to this phenomenon

Kora took the last bite of her chocolate chip fug cake, having her plate gone now. She did paid attention to Arete as he said what he know about the topic. "Well said." Kora said to him, of how good that was.
It's the first time someone ever asked her if she has friends. It kinda made her think back than to all the people that she meted. She made her first friend in school... but their all dead. Her beloved Silver and people out side of the church... practically all of them are dead. And the people in her city that she helped since the day of her crown... almost all of them are gone. Kora still have Draco and Mayko with in reach as friend as well. Kora put on a cheerful smile to Arete to answer his question. "Yes. I believed I made quite a lout of friends, but most of them have lifted my life for some good reason. " She said. "What about you?" She said back.

Arete drank down some of his water before answering. "Heheh, a good bard is loved by everyone, so I have quite a few friends myself." The young man happily smiled, filling the room with a sense of light-hearted joy and cheer from its radiance. "But if your friends died then why not try to bring them back to life? You're an experienced cleric, aren't you sister?"

Kora than gave out a sudden shock onto her face. "W-What? How did you- H-How?.... I didn't said my friends died! How did you know I'm a cleric and my ability's?" She suddenly asked him that question. Kora only said that her friends only lifted her life. True most of them died, but their are still some that actually just went away and never came back like Cry, and some other students.

Even though Arete usually lied to avoid suspicion and detection, he decidedly that honesty would be the best policy with Kora. She was a forgiving kind of person, so he doubted she would react violently so long as he remained calm and truthful about who he was. "Ah, well I know because I'm a Shapeshifter. I read through many of your recent memories when we shook hands. You're probably already familiar with this skill from Zane, if I recall."

Kora do remember that Zane had the shapeshifter ability to read memory, just like Nai and Rachel that also read her memory too. It's so sad that Nai and Zane have died. "That's not very nice of you to do, Arete. Please don't reads peoples memory with out their permission." Kora said back to him. Kora is started to get really tired of people reading her mind. Not much privacy in the world even as queen. "Mmmm... I suppose I really should take Rachel's advise and wear gloves now on." "Does this mean he know about Fenrir? oh, dear I hope not." Kora always wanted to keep what happen to Fenrir and her just to her self. When Yensen and Nai knew about it, they just ended up dead.

"S-Sorry." Arete's eyes turned downward. "Excuse me if I'm being out of line here sister, but in your memories I found a lot of experiences in which you dealt with the notorious King of Nocturne...." The bard gave a quick glance to Makyo to try and decide whether he knew anything about it. He didn't want to disrespect Kora any further by blurting out her private memories to those who were not already aware of them.

Kora just wanted to end Arete right there from continuing on about Fenrir. "... Please Arete... Let's not discus about that. Let's just forget about it and talk about of what are you doing here. Are you traveler from out side the city? I don't ever recall seeing you around here." She changed the subject. Kora wold not want to talk anything about Fenrir in front of a stranger and Mayko. It's not the time to decus about it, she's just want to have a good time with Mayko.

Makyo NagareboshiBlack Cross (Human Form)The inhospitable stranger made Makyo quite annoyed. Another pretty boy that only cares about women and sex probably, like all the others. He would've left long ago, since this stranger "joined" their conversation, but the only reason he was still there was for Kora. After all, she is Makyo's first and only friend. Arete recognized the change of subject but wouldn't push the issue. "Oh, I've visited this city before. Your student Rain would recognize me best. But yes I'm a traveler. Its what I do." Arete calmly replied, choosing his words carefully. He didn't want to upset Kora any further.

"You know Rain? That's quite great, though it's to bad she's isn't here to see you because of her Adapt mission that she went off to." Kora than gave out her smile back. "Arete, for being so happen of being a barb... would you like to be part of the festival once my students return? I thinking of hiring a barb to brighten up the streets with the music." She asked him if he can. It's seam a good idea to ask him know wile he's here than having him found out threw the "needed for barb" sign.
