Tonic yelped a few times as he worked either ending up giving himself electric shocks or from burning himself on the soldering iron.
"There, ow, that ought to do her for now, you good ?"

 Clou Adweiss'Might as well ask now..' He climbed back over the top with ease, being quite nimble, and sat on the rim of the cockpit where Tonic was. "Ah, yes thanks... I was wondering.. You don't have an override for manual.. Or like the earth wire to support it.. Next time do you think I could have a look, and add it in. It would mean from command, if stolen or lost to Vertex, you could bring the mechanoid back here without them being able to stop it.."

Tonic smiled "Hey that's pretty smart, only our guys already thought of it." Tonic took a screwdriver and opened a panel revealing very complex circuitry "All vehicles are connected to the main computer and activated by DNA cegognition if you aint in Strike it aint moving and if somone does try to steal one the computer destroys it."
Tonic ruffled clou's hair "But not a bad idea on your part, I can see why you'd suggest it....say..how would you like to work with me and Gin?"

Clou AdweissLeaning in to look at the unscrewed control panel; his green eyes scanning what Tonic had been talking about with morbid fascination; he nodded understanding it easily. Of course.. DNA sensors, why didn't I think of that..' He mentally chided himself at missing such a thing, but they were focused in the mains control panel by the seat, so he hadn't been in the right place. Leting out a huff, as his hair was ruffled; he smiled at the gesture, beaming at the part fox, man. "Really? As in on these? and in general?! I'd be allowed to, even if I'm not in Strike?"His enthusiasm faded, replaced with a look of confusion; before he turned back to him. "Why am I hear?.. I haven't seen any other civilians, so even if it was to clear the area.. why have I been brought here?" Despite looking so young, and being small; he had a sharp mind; he hadn't seen any other civilians around the encampment, and had received enough odd looks to know something was.. off.

Tonic's smile immediatly faded and he looked away for a moment.
"I could lose my rank for telling you this but I suppose it's only fair. You are the only person we have found alive so far within 200 miles. This town was deserted and those who were here were dead before we got here. Somehow you have survived and made it through, you're here because well as of yet there is no where else safe to put you. As for working with me and Gin well you wont be a strike trooper but we will need to add one or two things."
His smile slowly returned to go with his nature.

Clou AdweissHis eyes widened dramatically. They were all dead? All of them?! The whole town, that he was planning to make a supplies trip to, with Rex in a few days?! He turned away from Tonic, despite the man's smile, Clou couldn't breathe right; what he had just heard had hit him like a ton of bricks in the gut. Taking a shaky breath in, one hand round his waist, he turned away, looking for somewhere to get down; he needed air, now. Climbing down quickly before Tonic could stop him, he landed on his feet, and being a fast runner, fled the hanger that they were in with the mechanoids. In the rush, he bumped into another Strike member not form their team, ones they had passed earlier, and yelped out, bouncing back, hitting the floor.

Being so built as they were the trooper didnt move very much from being ran into but he did bend down and held out his hand to the youth. "My apologies may I give you a hand ?" He asked holding out a large hand to Clou

Clou AdweissClou looked over him first, a little wary as before, before taking his offered hand, standing up, and brushing himself off. He was still focused on putting distance between himself, and this whole place, but managed to squeak out a "S-sorry.." Before he headed past the trooper, head down, one arm still wrapped round his waist.

The trooper after helping Clou up just nodded and carried on about his business. Meanwhile Tonic was still pulling himself together before giving chase. "Hey wait up"

Clou AdweissThe blonde pretended not to hear him as he picked up speed, haring out of the mechanoid hanger, one hand clenched over his shirt by his chest. It wasn't anything Tonic had done personally, it was just the news he had just received. [ii]'They're all dead! all of them! Me and Rex were going to visit soon, get some supplies, talk to the other mechanics; go visit Claire and the other girls in the cafe! And... and...' his mind was running so fast through all the faces of people they knew, Rex's family, everyone. Letting out another choked gasp, he slowed, heart now racing as he knew the other would catch up soon if he didn't push on. But Clou had no idea where he was going.

Tonic ran as fast as his slim legs would let him but foxes were not particularly fast so he stopped and caught his breath after sending two Horse marines after Clou with strict instructions not to hurt him and to bring him back to the hotel.
The two large equines nodded at their orders and gave chase being much faster than Tonic and soon caught up with Clou. "Sorry sir you cant leave the compound" they said once stepping in Clou's way.

Clou AdweissLooking up in shock at the two of them, now in front of him; eyes wide. Clou was coming to grips with the wolf/fox and canine men who had landed near his garage, now these two?! The STRIKE forces brought strange anthros with them, and he didn't really know where to go. Attempting to get past them, he failed as one swiftly picked him up holding him over his shoulder and headed back to the base hotel; despite his fruitless efforts to get down.

The two large equines put Clou down finally once they were inside the hotel and held him securely by the shoulders until Tonic took him off their hands.
"Thanks guys I owe you a cool one later."
"Thank you Lieutenant." The two horses saluted before turning round and walking out.
Tonic put his hands softly on Clou's shoulders looking into his deep green eyes. "Are you alright ?"

Clou AdweissClou, after being released, couldn't look up to meet the fox man's eyes, it was just.. too much at once. He nodded briefly, before his head fell forward, resting on the other's chest, so that his face would stay hidden. The teen had an issue with people seeing him this upset; and didn't want to be thought any less of. He already felt like the last civilian who was in the army's way. "Just... just give me a minute.." He murmured out in a small soft voice.

Tonic slowly wrapped his arms around Clou and rubbed the back of his head softly. before slowly ushering him through to the room he shared with Gin and sat him on the bed next to where Gin was snoozing.
"Come on talk to me."
