Hedoro's lash had missed entirely. Apparently the Hood had moved upon turning invisible. She would have to be more thorough if she had reason to attack him again. She probably would, of course, but there was no use doing so now. He would likely be on his guard. So instead she let her attention be diverted as the fortress' cooks brought out everyone's meals. Her own was nothing special, water and the various vegetables and meats that weren't fit for human consumption, due to bad spots or improper color or shape. She didn't mind, at least there was a large bowl of it. even with a large bowl, it only took her a moment. Decent enough, but not too filling. She'd have to go for a late night snack. as if reading her mind, the Hood mentioned a night-time patrol. "We get to go abck out there and eat more of them? Good."

Kawari decided to just stay with the larger of the group when they had arrived. One or two had split off promptly, but she saw no reason to act alone, and possibly create an opportunity for herself to 'disappear'. She was under no illusions that they weren't truly thought of as allies. They were expendable, and likely more than that, they were sacrifices. She would have to make sure she acted with prudence, until such a time as they could enact their own plan, their own mission. So she remained silent and impassive, only seeming to brighten up when her meal was brought out. To the others, with the possible exception of the slime, her meal would be entirely inedible. A pile of almost empty batteries, and a bowl filled with rusted screws, bolts, nails and other metal. A good meal for what she needed, but how had they known? She hadn't had a moment to eat or fuel up in the entire time they were on this world. Curious, were their enemies overplaying their hand, bragging that they held extra knowledge? Or were her own modifications just apparent enough to be obvious?
