The baton rolled off her hand, he was himself again before he hit the ground, smiling he put his hand in hers. "Congratulations, little one. You are lucky enough to be my meister, i look forward to carrying out Shinigami-Sama's will with you. May ze music flow eternal." Squinting against the light, he slides his goggles back onto his face.
((not for childrens ears....owo when he speaks german, it not for others to hearm it's usally bad words.))

I'm but a simple vine from a tree with big-heart shaped leaves.. "Little one?" At that, Ivy put her hands on her hips and frowned up at Verim, trying to seem intimidating. "Who is little? I'm sixteen!" Ivy acted as though it was obvious how old she was, though it was very hard to guess with her childish personality and features, and of course her small size. She ignored the fact it was probably a surprise to Verim, and went on with a question before he could gather his thoughts to respond to her statement. "And anyways, how old are you, Verim?"

"For one thing, it's VERIN. Verin Veril Verdelet, forsaken son of the verdelet family, und i am 19 years old, so i still have ze right to call you young one. though you don't look a day over twelve, no offence to you. Verin looked at the miffed girl in awe, was this really his meister? this bubbly bundle of joy? He shook his head in confusion, rubbing his temple with his bony fingers. The feeling of his fingers on his skin reminded him of his need to feed, fumbling in his pocked, he removes a pouch and retrives a candy bar from it. Smiling, he unwraps it.

I'm but a simple vine from a tree with big-heart shaped leaves.. Ivy giggled in embarassment, having the grace to look sheepish. "Oops, sorry Verin.." She didn't know what forsaken meant, so she just left it alone. "And even though I don't like it, I can't help I look like a twelve year old! So no offense taken, buddy!" When he pulled out the candy bar, she smiled cheerfully. "You like sweets? Luckily for you, I can cook! It's so fun to cook things, I think, but I can't cook anything without a cookbook, or I mess everything up." Ivy gave a small, matter-of-fact nod, more to herself than to Verin.

Smiling, he popped it entire bar into his mouth, eating it in one bite before reaching into the pouch and pulling out another one. "vell, i HAVE to eat, due to...problems in my past, my metabolism is hyper acclerated to ze point where i vill wither away if i don't eat. I vould explain it in better detail, but do you have a firm grasp of bio-mechanics or meta-physical sciences?"

Ivy could only give him a blank look as her response to his question, showing that she did not, infact, have a firm grasp on either of those things. "I..well, I could cook snacks and stuff for you, if you'd like.." Ivy still had a blank look on her face, which didn't have it's usual smile, because she had to say somethin and couldn't just..stay silent. It would be quite out of character for her.

Noticing her confusion, he lifted her hand up, smiling at her. "Don't worry about having to think, i'll be your brain, so you don't need to use it. You already seem to have a hard time vith complex thought, no offence." Laughing lightly, he eats the second bar.

I'm but a simple vine from a tree with big-heart shaped leaves.. Ivy poked her lower lip out in a defiant pout, crossing her arms over her chest. "Pssh, I can think about complex things! ..Just not things like that, is all! I could totally come up with a wicked battle plan and beat all the enemies with it, then you'd have to take it back! Bwahaha! I'll show you I can think complex things!" Ivy grinned to herself, already plotting a way to prove him wrong...and her plan seemed to consist of her barging into a room and the bad guys cowering at the power of her will and submmitting without a fight.

He chuckled, a small mountain of wrappers forming at his feet, he showed no signs of slowing down, and no signs that he was running out of candy. "Und how would this "plan" work?"

Ivy frowned down at the trash he was littering on the flower, hoping he planned to thrown them out.

"We'll have to practice attacks before we go on missions, though.." Ivy wasn't going to allow either of them to lose, and together they would help to protect people from madness, she knew it!

Reaching into his pouch, he pulls out a bag of beef jerky, smiling as he tears into it like a starving animal, ripping the bag with his teeth. "Ya, we vill need to practice our fighting, wouldent vant us to get eaten like jerky!" A soft chuckle escaped his lips as he finished the bag.
