Erik smiled and took some whip cream putting it on her nose. He laughed and blinked when he felt his phone vibrate.

Alyss tried to lick the whipped cream off her nose as she stood up giggling, the vibration tickling her thigh. "Who in the world is trying to reach you at this hour of the night" she asked as she continued spooning ice cream into her mouth, licking her lips.

Alyss felt her happy mood completly drain away from her, and she sighed turning and walking to the edge of the balcony to finish her ice cream while he spoke on the phone. She didn't want to be any where around, even if it was just a call. "Just come over when your done" she murmured as she spooned ice cream into her mouth double time.

Erik nodded and got up pacing. "Hey mom yeah I'm back in town...yeah the concert was great...no Dan was with me I'm hanging out with the old group....they had a get together with me at the old italian place down at the pier...yes I swear I'm not anywhere near Alyss...look if you rather me to date her then...no fine...I'll stop by don't worry...alright mom bye..." Erik groaned shutting the phone shut rubbing his head

Alyss was now just staring into the bowl of ice cream, now feeling sick and upset instead of happy and playful like she had been earlier. "I hate that he has to lie that he's not around me, it should be his choice damnit" she thought to herself as she swirled the melted cream around in circles while waiting for him.

Erik called Dan real quick. "It's me...listen the whole plan is crashing down...yes they believe I'm at the italian bar with you...and they don't believe I'm with Lyss...got it man...see you later" he hung up and went over to Alyss. He hugged her around the waist burying hsi face in her hair. "another blinddate...this time picked by my parents" he grumbled

"It's not fair, why can't they just accept the fact that we want to be with each other" she whined, looking into the bowl still as a few tears spilled into the liquid mess. She didn't want him to be with another girl, she wanted him to always be with her. She felt the emotions flood back, just as if he were leaving her all over again and she tried to force the tears back.

"I guess so..." she muttered once more, her great mood utterly ruined now that his parent's were starting with the blind dates and such. She wished they could just except her, but no they hated her for what she played.

Alyss pulled herself away from his arms and walked back inside, walking into the kitchen to give Roger the bowl and to wash her hands off. Her birthday had been ruined by her parents, and now it felt like it was ruined all over her again causing her to force back her tears again.

Erik sighed rubbing his face. Dammit why did they have to call him? He wondered they ruin everything for him. He place a note on the table and went down to the pier deep in thought.

Roger had walked in handing her the note, and she broke down letting the tears fall down her cheeks freely now. Roger pulled her into his arms and hugged her tightly, asking if she'd like a drink. Shaking her head no she just continued to cry, clinging to Roger knowing he's done this multiple times already when Erik had first left. "I'm really sorry Roger, you know how I can be" she murmured as she hugged him tightly and pulled herself away, wiping her eyes as she pulled on an apron and started helping around the place as a waitress. Roger didn't care, and she didn't work for pay so it was all fine as long as it took her mind off the pain.

Rodger glanced out the window and sighed when he saw Dawn going to Erik as well. Dan sat next to his life long friend and frowned when he listen to him softly cry. He barely done that before until today...
