He began to walk to the exit of the room, only to fling crane in a random direction while leaving. ((OOC: Did he give you permission ooc to destroy his assistants? Because if he did not, that would be god-modding right there. Seriously folks, this is not the first instance of this I have seen in this rp. So, will someone please explain to me, are we doing killing allowed in this rp? And if so, you are aware that it's still a good idea to have a two-three post minimum lead up before you kill them, right? Here's an example from an actual rp in a killing allowed play by post rp website: Brand new OC comes up to the Joker on a rooftop, her very first post being her "sexily" walking up to him, interrupting him mid speech to Nightwing, and declaring that they should kill Batman and run away together because she loves him. Joker's post: Sweeps her off her feet, holding her like you would a lover over the edge of the building. Her post: Looks lovingly up into his eyes. Joker's Post: "My dear, I have been waiting all this time for someone like you to-" Joker drops her off the side of the building, giggles madly, then goes back casually to his speech to Nightwing. There's my absolute favorite example of all time. And note, that even then, she probably could have saved herself by doing something like catching herself on an edge or, well, something. Then there are my own death traps, which I have implemented even on this site. Even those, I give a minimum of three posts describing the trap as it it slowly falling into place, giving them plenty of chances to take note and get out of said trap, or to figure out a way to get out or avoid it once it is sprung. And even then, when they prove to fail and get caught in the razor wire, yes, I COULD by all means slice them into tiny pieces and kill them. Instead, I take off a limb or so and then leave them bleeding, mortally wounded, but still just able to save their character or have someone save their character if they really try, ultimately leaving the choice of if they live or not up to them. So, as a result, IF he did not give you prior permission, what you just did is the exact same thing as essentially someone playing Superman who just busts in, tears off a guy's arms and then hurls him into the sun all in one singular move. Yes, Superman is capable of that, but in rp world, that doesn't mean it doesn't count as god-modding. Seriously people, can we maybe clarify what battle rules system we are using here, because if everyone is not clear on what system is being used, it obviously leads to quite a bit of some confusion. )) Ragady returned Scarecrow's grin with a serious frown, shaking her head a bit. "I never thought the day would come, when I vould be the one telling you to behave yourself. But it seems now is an appropriate time fur that." she narrowed her eyes a bit, no hard feelings, but she was trying to keep him alive, and if that meant they had to temporarily reverse roles, she would accept that. [if you are aware of the powers of the omega effect, I can reanimate his henchmen when ever I wish, so in a sense, they are not dead, simply not in this universe anymore. So I'm not god-modding, I'm teaching him a lesson by leaving him with nothing for a time being.] ((I agree with Ragady completely and I was shocked when I read the post stating that you had killed my adversaries. Even though they are "in a different dimension," not giving myself or others a chance to dodge is considered God-Modding. Also if Darkseid's Omega Beams send people to an alternate universe it would be nice if you had actually stated that in your original post. Example: The Omega Beam made contact with the Scarecrow's adversaries and had SEEMINGLY obliterated them, when in actuality, they had simply been sent to another dimension. Also I too have noticed a lot of God-Modding in the forums. Not specifically you, but others...

I was well aware of Darkseid's powers. I would never enter a battle without studying up on my opponent. Even though it seems as if Darkseid had destroyed my faithful companions, they were simply transported to another dimension. Michael's powers were perfectly capable of rescuing himself and Lucca, for his powers allowed him to enter a dimension known as the Shadow Zone, and is able to exit into Earth.
I decided to play along with Darkseid, "How could you? They were only children..." My body seemed to have gone limp a bit; My shoulders hung low and so did my head. It seemed as if I had given up all hope... which was what Darkseid wanted. He loved tormenting his victims and making them devoid of all emotion before he crushed them. "Just- just do what you want with me Stitches," I then gave a concerned Ragady a look, a look that would have seemed insignificant, but she knew me well enough that, that one look meant everything was going to be okay.

I knew that I had gotten myself into a mess unlike any other I had gotten into before. I followed Ragady as she had wanted me to. "Yes... Master Ragady," using a humor only Ragady and I would understand. For some reason, I found this situation quite funny... I the Scarecrow being one of Gotham's most infamous criminals being reduced to such- such... this. Being reduced to this. There will be one day where Darkseid will be brought down. I also found it funny how I could actually be considered the "hero" in this story or the "antihero" at most. Only time will tell us how this story will play out.

To be honest I think that god mod rules should be less strick on people playing GODS, I'm not saying people can just run around and constantly auto-hit and dodge and block every move, I'm saying people who play characters like Thor, Galactus, Darkseid, Loki, etc. have less strict rules for god modding so that they can play their character to the fullest, cuz frankly with god-modding rules as strict as ours, the gods of the rp world cant really be gods. And to be honest if someone is killed so what? People die in comic books all the time and it just leads to a resurrection story. If I recall Ragady, wasnt it YOU that wanted to reform the rules for killing in rps so that it didnt require consent?]

Croc watched from a nearby drain grate. He shoved a whole Rotisserie Chicken in his massive jaws before crunching down on it and swallowing bones and all.
"That seemed too heroic for Crane." he muttered, "Then again, get in the way of one's desires... and anyone can arise I suppose..." he chuckled, "But resistin' Darksied's like a three year old kid tryin' to stop a train with his face. Not gonna happen."

I'm not just saying that because my character isn't a God, I specifically chose not to choose God like characters for that reason. Also I have no problem with my characters being defeated, however I do have a problem with them being killed off. You say a resurrection story is suitable to bring them back. I myself think most resurrection stories are bogus and prefer not to use them just for the purpose of bringing them back again and again. Also I would like to say that the Scarecrow would easily be killed by Darkseid. One-on-one battle, Darkseid would win hands down, but since we are writing with RP rules if I don't give the other person permission to kill one of my characters, it's up to the other person to think of a reason their character would spare mine. I think it would be best if we thought of RP as a video game such as DC vs Mortal Combat. Super Man could easily defeat the Joker in the comic world, but in the video game they both have a fair shot to win. Oh and about the Omega Beam. It's hard for most people to dodge the Omega Beam, but my character Salem's Knight is on par with Batman's agility and would therefor be able to dodge it just like the Batman has and my other character Michael has the ability to teleport making it possible for him to avoid the Omega Beam too.))

((Yes, Black Rose, I DID want to reform the rules to allow for killing. But the thing about that is, EVERYONE INVOLVED WOULD HAVE TO AGREE TO IT.
There are many different ways to rp, and many different systems. The only real important thing, is that everyone involved is using the SAME system. So while yes, I would like to try a system that allows for killing, and do keep in mind, as per my example, there ARE ways to do that and STILL not God-mod; if everyone else has not signed on for that, then me killing someone off would still be technically modding, since killing without permisions IS considered modding with the battle system we are using.
As for resurrection storylines, Actually, most of the time it's more of a "You get killed, you're out until the game restarts." No one likes a character that finds a way to come back from the dead no matter how many times you kill them. It makes interacting with them completely pointless. ))

Not gonna happen." Akuma approached croc. He didnt know croc and croc didnt know him but he wasnt affraid of him. "Does it really matter though? Darkseid has left back to Apokalips and promised to leave earth alone..."
