As Fae walked home, the sun had finally dipped below the horizon of the sean and was replaced with a roung yellow moon glowing in the sky.A handful of twinkling stars were scattered in the navy blanket of night and the sounds of the wind and nocturnal insects serenading the island to rest.

The breeze felt good- it was always realitively warm at night on Cetalu; approximently 73 degrees, Fae calculated. Reaching a hand behind her pony tail, she let her hair down which was rarely seen this way. Her normal haircolor was dyed, which no one knew as well. Strands of her chesnut/mohogany colored hair danced in the passing breeze, the little gryphon shivering close against the girl's chest.

Pueblo eyed around her favorite atmosphere wide awake. Shifting around restlessly, the hint finally hit her guardian and was released. Carefully, her wings expanded and took a few powerful flaps to support her body into the air. Feathers blew distortedly until she caught the right wind current and soard as high as Fae stood. No matter how much Pueblo loved the sky, she was too nervous about accidently flying too high and knocking the moon down. She gave a joyful hoot that echoed all around and circled Fae who grinned at her little Aerandir.

Hmm... Fae thought. Pueblo really loves the night sky...if not, more than I. She knew there wasn't any astrology jobs yet, but what was the next thing after that? Maybe an artist, who could watercolor her love for the stars...Or maybe a hunter, running swiftly through the woods asshe tracked down a rabbit, using the stars as her guide. Or perhaps even a messenger since Pueblo loves to fly around so much. Fae smiled aseach one of these ideas tinkered in her mind within turn. Her eyes followed the owl/wolf absently before she came to realize she was still walking forward. Then, without warning, the girl's foot hit the stari step of her front step, little Pueblo already waiting there for her.

"Hoop!" She joyfully cried and jumped at the door.

Fae's demener turned warm, stepping up and walking across the verdanda to open the door. Pueblo cocked her head to the side at Fae's silence, but as soon as the door opened, Pueblo galloped inside before the girl.

Today I didn't do much. I was heavily thinking about Pueblo's job and worried if I don't know what it is before she turns into a whisp. I feel that wont be for awhile since the others havent showed any signs of change. I was thinking about three jobs I thought Pueblo might chose in the end: Artisan, hunter, or diplomat.

I went to the Centre today and met up with Nyxa and Lucius for awhile. Pueblo and Lucius met, and I think Pueblo was scared for a moment. She is, afterall, naturally shy around new Aerandir and people. I think I saw Alyosha and Ieyasu too, but I didn't get to say anything to them.

Then something weird showed up; a black cat! I wondered when Alyosha had a cat; I've never seen it there before. Of course, I got the crazy idea that it could have been that half demon, Syrenrei. I don't know. I'll have to find Alyosha tomorrow and ask him about carpentry anyways.

Pueblo and I went to the Centre today because I think she wanted to play with the toys there. However, Ieyasu was there playing with some strange kind of illuminate white ball. Pueblo was interested in it but he didn't let her have it. Then, Ieyasu's artifacts started glowing! It was so exciting.

Then Syren showed up, bloody and torn, and started mumbling crazy things. She didn't want Ieyasu's help because he's a Yoaki- and from what she said, Alyosha's a Hanyou. Not that it matters; I'm just aware where to spot demons now. But Ieyasu eventually took charge, took her home since she was losing a lot of blood and fainted in his arms. I still don't know why she got hurt or the cause of it...but it worries me.

I spoke with Rahujo about the chimney I want her to build me. She says she doens't know if she has the skills, so I'll have to stop by her place sometime this week and see what we can brainstorm.

*Fae

A letter from Fae
Dear Rahujo,

How're you doing? I'm pretty well and I've been doing some house-reconstruction. I've also ran into a bit of a delima, and I was hoping you could help.

I need a chimney for my house and I thought of your great craftmanship. If it's not too much of a hassle, we could trade for something? (Unless Aerandir use a currency, I thought trading would be best.) Whatever you need, I could try and get you/already have in exchange for a chimney body and stack. I don't have any offical blue prints, but I hear you're teriffic at working metal. As well, I don't have any clue as to what kind of metal to use, but something weather proof would sufice. However, I do have a picture of what I want in my head that I could draw for you as a reference.

Thanks!

+ Foenix leaves for a few days and drops her children off at Fae's.

[01.03.05]
(Backdated)

Fae had her hands and house full during the period Foenix has been gone. Chasing Nahda all over the house and telling her the rules ("If you want to run, you cannot do it in the house. If you want to plays games, go outside but stay in the yard.") so she wouldn't brake anything. Nahda had Twizzy get her some tape as well and fixed the broken lamp she had broke last time and gave it back to the amused guardian. Twizzy and Nahda had became close friends, even if it seemed forced upon the slow and quiet Twizzler.

The Aerandir gryphons had enjoyed one another's company, except when Nehanda tried to sleep at night. Pueblo was nocturnal and would grow restless and active at night, bothering her poor house guest. Nehanda would often push Pueblo along her dares and wander around outside like teenagers sneaking out of the house. There they would fly around and..spy ninja Playing scout and report.

The two Fenthry, however, stayed mainly with the children, making sure they didn't go anywhere they wern't supposed to. Even though Twizzler took most authority, he was easily pushed around and taken advantage by Nahda. Woe is he! :/

Another warm afternoon on the shores of Cetalu, with warm waves drifting onto the white beaches and leaving a foamy left-over once it conracted back into the ocean. Waves rolling in suit, the waters appeared to be small andrestless today.

After heading from Foenix's house, Nehanda had finished her daily pulling of weeds free from her garden and tilling some of the dirt with her hooves. Nahda had also helped, and Pueblo had accompanied Nehanda and learned a thing or two about gardening from her. The Fenthry as well had fun digging and playing in the garden.

After everyone was hungry and sweaty, Fae went inside Foenix's house (hoping Foenix wouldn't mind) and put together some picknick foods. Then, gathering everyone up, she stirred the group towards the beach.

* * *

After everyone had enjoyed their lunch under the shade provided by a tree, the two Tahnee children stripped down into their swimsuits and Nahda dragged Twizzler down to jump waves.

The two little gryphons also ran towards the water, Fae a little worried from their size and big waters, chased after them. It was Pueblo's first time around water, and it hadn't occured to her yet what the big blue thing infront of her, spittin' waves at them, was before she was right up to shore. The sand she was running in also caught her attention. It slowed her pace down greatly and made her ware out faster. Digging around in it and making sure none of the tiny grains got in her feathers, she preened some free from her paws and sat right into a mound of hot sand. She peeped, then tried to clean the grains from her tail. No, this was too hard for her now!

Fae threw off her shirt and kicked off her shorts, exposing her two peice swimsuit. The green and white striped halter top matched her eyes, and her small dark blue swim shorts tied everything together. Only her legs, belly button, back/shoulders, and a little skin around her collar showed. She bent down to flick some sand upon the helpless Pueblo, only making her more sad. "Don't look so down, Pueblo. You can always wash it off! Like this." Fae sat down carefully into the hot sand and wiggled her legs around in it. Making sure there was a lot of sand on her, she crawled over to the tide and sat in the wet sand, allowing a small wave to wash over her lap. As soon as the water dragged back into the sea, mostof the sand was gone. Pueblo seemed to be highly impressed, but Fae failedto mention how much more sand you can obtain when you're wet.

Nehanda splashed in the foamy left overs from a few waves, merping in delight. She called Pueblo over to experience such fun, but hadn't noticed how afraid Pueblo was of the water.

Pueblo stretched her neck out, appearing to be "sniffing" the water until a small wave splashed in her face. Sqwaking, she shook her head-dress free of water driplets, finding her weight a lot heavier. At least the water was warm..

Fae laughed and motioned Pueblo over, then held her in her lap. "The water isn't bad. You need to learn to trust it. Ready? You're just going to get a little more wet..." A wave rolled onto them and was about the same size asthe first, getting Pueblo's body all wet as she squirmed around. The water seemed to want to take her with it, but withstand. As the wave dissapeared, her feathers immediatly puffed and she shook herself in a canine's natural insinct when getting wet. She sloshed water droplets into Fae's face, looking quite soggy and funny. A wet Pueblo was definately a sight. The little Aerandir peeped back at Nehanda as if she were coming; this water stuff wasn't too horrible. Fae watched the two gryphons slosh around in a puddle of sea foam, Nehanda reassuring Pueblo.

The whole day, the group had played at the beach; jumping waves, building sand castles, digging holes in the wet sand, and picked up neat looking shells in the sand. Finally, when the sun started the set, Fae gathered everything up and hearded the group (including Fenthry) back to her home. There she would wash everyone down, free from sand, then prepare them all a lovely dinner.

Fae had ran beside Foenix, huffing to keep up. She knew how excited Foenix was, but jeeze, Fae wasn't athletic. @_@ Finally they reached her house, Pueblo giving an aggitated shrill waay behind the two guardians. Didn't they know she was nocturnal!? That's what she gets for taging along, she supposed.

"I've taken them out alot, and we had a picnic at the beach a couple days ago. Nahda's kept Twizz busy," she chuckled. "And Nehanda taught Pueblo how to garden a bit." She thought giving the children-sick mother an update would help ease her worriedness, if there was any. "Nothing was broke and they were great company to have," she smiled as she stepped inside Fae's house. "Nahda, Nehanda, guess who's home?" she summoned.
PostPosted: Sat Mar 05, 2005 12:44 pm

"Nahda didn't break anything? Foenix asked in amused astonishment. "You must have really taught her some manners! I guess I owe you for more then just keeping an eye on them."

Inside the house, Nehanda's equine ears perked up. Fae was calling . . . and Foenix was there!

With an excited merp, the gryphon jumped into the air and hurried out through the door. Sure enough, her guardian was just approaching the steps to the porch. Beating her large wings, Nehanda shot into Foenix's outstretched arms.

"Sweetie!" Foenix carefully wrapped her arms around the little gryphon. "Oh, I've missed you so much!" Running a hand over the Aerandir's soft feathers, foenix turned to Fae. "I can't tell you how much I appreciate all of this," she murmured. "It sounds as though they had a terrific time."

Fae smiled at such a touching moment. Then, she wondered where Nahda was...

Just then, Twizzy came shrilling up the ladder and through the house, out the door and looked around frantically. "She's trying to contaminate me!" He squeaked, his royal purple eyes looking around frantically. He then quickly turned the corner, his feet pounding against the porch and jumped the rail. She peered through the bars, hiding.

Nahda, expectingly, came running outside as well with make-up in her fists. Wait, make-up?! Since when did Fae own make-up? O:

Fae's eyes went wide and walked up teh steps, holding her palm out. "Where did you find these?" she asked. She didn't even remember owning any make-up. Well, Nahda was good for the most part. sweatdrop

With Nehanda still in her arms, Foenix sighed and shook her head. "Nahda," she called, "what did i tell you about taking my cosmetics?" At least the little devil had managed to wait this long before reverting to her normal state of behavior.

When she heard Foenix's voice, Nahda dropped the lipsticks and eye-liners and ran, arms held out, toward the woman. "Foenix, Foenix, Foenix! I missed you so much!" She grabbed Foenix's leg and hugged her before trying to climb up her body and into her arms.

Foenix shook her head again. "I missed you too, hon. Fae says that you were a good girl while I was gone."

The Tahnee widened her eyes and nodded emphatically. "Of course I was good! I'm always good!"

foenix pursed her lips and smiled over her armful of girls at Fae. "Nahda must have taken some of my cosmetics the last time she was at our house." She leaned down a bit toward Twizzler. "don't worry, I'll protect you from the evil face paint."

Straightening, she sighed happily. "I just can't thank you enough, Fae. I've got something for you back with my baggage as a thank-you gift. I'll dig it out tonight and bring it over tomorrow. Meanwhile, I think i'm gonna get these kids home and feed us all dinner. Thanks again. Nehanda, Nahda, say goodbye to Fae and the others."

Nahda yelled and waved, and the little gryphon merped, as Foenix turned and, with one more grateful wave, began to walk back to her own house.

After observing Nahda's "face paints" being taken away, he assumed it was more safe to come out now. He walked over and tugged on Nahda's shirt sleeve, giving her a farewell. He smiled timidly. "Bye bye, Nahda," he said, his tone more happy than dissapointed. He grinned at Foenix, glad to know she was on his side.

Fae stood there and crossed her arms, watching Foenix be a great mother. Fae never considered herself a mother (in fear of actually having children), but it made her grateful of having Twizzler and stepped up to the group. She wrapped her arm around Twizzy's shoulder, allowing him to lean against her as they waved. "Aw, Foenix. It was no problem. My...children enjoyed having them over."

Pueblo was late in the game as she finally slumped her way back to the group and fell at Fae's feet. She was too pooped out to even notice Nehanda was being taken home. With a finale wave from Twizzler an Fae, the guardian watched her form dissapear into her house, then scooped up Pueblo and walked into her own house. There was much planning made to be done!

Foenix came home yesterday and picked up her children. She was a couple of days late, but it was alright. Pueblo and the bunch enjoyed having company over and to them, it was like a giant sleep over.

I talked to Rahujo over at the forge as well about a chimney. The climate of the weather is always so clement but really warm, and would be much too hot to have a major cooking thing inside my small home. So we agreed on constructing one against my house outside- a large clay oven for baking bread and the sort. She has yet to collect the clay and plan it out, but I should be expecting her sometime next week.

As for minor cooking, well, it looks as if I'll have to make a trip inland. I was thinking of getting a smaller, almost rustic looking stove that'll be jutting out from the wall instead of the roof. I'll look for a few things for Pueblo and home decor for the inside and porch as well.

Something exciting happened yesterday, too! Pueblo engraved a star into the side of the house with her claws. I don't know if she meant to or not, but she definately has an artistic eye. Perhaps I'll try something with her tomorrow...

The previous night, Fae had a restless sleep in dreams of her hosue remodeling. It only occured to her, when she couldn't go back to sleep, that she would have to arrange some sort of ordeal to make a trip inland. Finally, after her heart was satisfied and the thirst of her subconscious clenched, she drifted back off to sleep the remaining hours of the morning.

Fae would wait until mid afternoon until she would prepare some food at the Centre. She had mainly relied on the Centre for food ever since her stay, but no one needed to know that. Setting a few sandwhiches into her wiccor basket (Peanut-butter & strawberry jelly, salami, and a few stray grapes), she headed back to her house before anyone could stop her.
* * *

"Raaah!" Twizzy exclaimed, weilding a fierce stick in his hand. He swished it around the Fenthry who were flittering around him, obviously playing some sort of sword-fighting game.

"Grrr! You'll never git me!" Ombre growled, latching herself to Twizzy's 'sword'.

Sage, however, would observe, then invade. He wasn't blind like his sister, but more of a thinker, reguardless it worked or not. While Ombre distracted Twizzy, he flew behind him and landed on top of his head. Twizzy still didn't notice- this was perfect! "I have you now, you scallywag!" He flicked his tail, but with a sudden lurch of Twizzler's movements, the Fenthry tripped over his bulky feet and landed in Twizzler's face.

"Ahhh! I am blinded!" He giggled, now flailing the Ombre-on-a-stick up and down. "I can't see! I can't see!"

"WHO'S HUNGRY!?" Fae called out amongst the blabber. If that didn't catch their attention, nothing would. Everyone jumped up into the air, pipping "ME, ME, ME!" Fae ushered everyone inside to keep them all together. After they all gobbled down their sandwhiches and grapes, Fae asked them to stay for a moment. "Last night I was thinking about the house and how I should make a trip inland. Actually, I've been planning a trip there ever since, but it would only take about a day until I would be back." She explained to them as they each gave her dumfounded faces. She eyed Twizzler especially. "Twizzy- I can trust you to look after the Fenthry and house because you have so many times before. It's not like I'll be gone for very long, but if you ever have a problem, just go to the neighbors house."

Fae continued to explain the situation until everyone was settled. Fae packed her extra money and credit-card into her satchel, found Pueblo and kissed the top of her head goodbye. "I'll be home in a day. I'm reallysorry I can't take you with me, but you're not ready for Gambino yet." Fae thought of Sy and how she freaked out about the Aerandir. Fae didn't want to stir a commotion on Gambino. She smiled as Pueblo nuzzled her keeper understandingly. Fae quickly ran to the dock where the ship was just about to leave, giving Cetalu a final last look. It felt so different and irresponsible, but she trusted them to stay okay for a day. Just a day, and she would be back.

Nahda and Nehanda crept up to Fae's house and looked around cautiously. Their guardian was busy back at home, working on someone's manuscript, and Nahda had decided that this was the perfect opportunity to deliver Fae's Thank You gift.

As the little Tahnee peered in through a window, Nehanda tugged at her sleeve and merped reproachfully.

"Nehanda, don't worry!" Nahda giggled. "Foenix said this was a surprise, so we're gonna surprise Fae!"

Satisfied that no one was on the main level and aware of their presence, Nahda took to the air and tied the gift up above the door, so that it was all but impossible to miss. In fact, it would probably hit anyone in the head if they tried to exit the house!

With a grin, Nahda nudged Nehanda's flank. "Come on! Let's go!"

They raced off, leaving behind a lovely decorative fan, that twisted and dangled from its string in the morning breeze.

(Backdated)

Later that evening, Twizzy had been sitting on the couch with Pueblo in his lap. He stroked her soft feathers on her back and, with the gryphon's consent, granted his hand to explore her smooth coat as well.

Pueblo's tail idly swished side to side as she enjoyed her attention. Never had she really been adulated in such way despite her keeper. Her wolf ears lowered amicably as her tiny eyes followed suit. Everything was peacful- no Fenthry of annoying impudence in sight. The water at shore sloshed to a ship's arrival, the breeze carrying the sound around Cetalu and tapping at Fae's window. Suddenly, Pueblo's ears stood and she lifted her head off from Twizzler's knee. Her stalk white face stared out the 'force field' window, circumspecting the bleak darkness outside.

As the gryphon suddenly decided to stand, Twizzy flintched at the caustic claws of the gryphon who leaped off from his lap. "What is it, Ab?" He asked, straining in place to sit up as he watched the gryphon stand on the front door. Was there something there he couldn't see that she could?

Fae had returned home with a few boxes being hauled by a shiphand. Among the luggage, there were two small boxes, two medium boxes, and one large and tall box. "It just right up here," she reassured the man. They had taken the eastern beach since it was closest to her house, the larger box being hauled by the man as it was obviously too heavy for Fae to carry. As they turned they corner around the forest bend, they came up to her front steps until she dismissed the hand. "Thanks so much," she smiled to the charming man, reaching into her pocket and dropping a few coins in his hand.

"No problem!" He cheerfully grinned and waved, the thought of receiving a tip and helping a pretty lady excite him. He held her in his eyes for a moment before he attended back to his duty on board.

If it wasn't so dark outside, Fae's face would have been beaming. But as he started to walk off, she carried the few boxes up the steps. As her new sandals clanked against the porch floorboards, she neared the door.

Inside, Pueblo became more excited than ever. She pawed at the door a few times, staring between Twizzy and the door with eagerness in her eyes.

Before Twizzler had time to react, a light knock emitted from behind the door which stole Pueblo's attention away. She gave an excited trill and backed away as the door started to open slowly, a shadowed figured standing there.

Twizzler's royal purple eyes went real wide and gasped. A stanger! A crook! He had come to hurt them! Scarry things ran through his head and he cowardly jumped off the couch to hide beside it. What was that crazy Aerandir doing?! ..Oooh, maybe she was gonna get 'em!

However, as Fae unkowingly became the anathema crook, the paper fan that Nahda and Nehanda had hanged by a string in the doorway, dangled and twirled around as she walked right into it. "Ahhh," she groaned, the pile of boxes blocking the view to her face.

Pueblo jumped up and down and did a circle as Twizzy stared at her sickly. Was she trying to scare him away? Well, it wasn't working! He was the man in the house, so it was up to him to protect his family! Quickly, his arm reached over the arm of the couch and grabbed for a pillow, then with a square of his shoulders and a deep breath, he charged after the figure with the pillow over his head, screaming "GEEET OOUUTT!"

As Fae was about to open her mouth to making an introduction, she was reprimended by a pillow to her knees, braking her stance. "Ahh! Twizzy!" She screamed, wobbling to and fro until gravity decided she'd land backwards. Erfrrfrfrrr plunk! The many boxes piled up in her arms managed to stay somewhat in her grasp until she laid sprawled upon the ground. "Ughh..."

Twizzy cheered in victory until his brain registered the familiar voice. He stopped. Suddenly his body stiffened and looked grim. He looked over to Pueblo who was staring at him in shock and fear. "Oops..." he whispered and climbed over the slayen figure. But just in case, he still held the pillow tight in his fist, nuckles white. "...Fae?" He gulped. It was her! "Ahh! I'm soo sorry, Miss Fae! I thought you wered a crook!" Walrus tears welled up into his eyes from feeling quite embaressed. Of course crooks wouldn't knock.

Fae's world was dark and spinning...well, shoot. What do you know? Her dark world had stars! Look at the purdy stars...She blinked a couple times until it occured to her her eyes were indeed already open. "Oh," she blinked some more. Somewhat dizzy, she heard Twizzy's worried voice. She finally sat up, her shoulders stuff and her back aching greatly. "Oyy.." She moaned and looked up to Twizzy who was crying. "Twizzy? Twizz! I'm alright, c'mere. It's okay...shh." She wrapped the little boy into her arms, rocking him in reassurance. "I should have said something before. It's okay now," she hushed, giving his cheek a kiss.

He seemed to calm down as his head nuzzled into his guradian's chest, sniffling up his copious tears. "I'm sowwy..." He sighed, then finally let go. His watery purple eyes stared at Fae through the dark.

Pueblo's sensative ears picked up the chaos and came running out onto the porch, skipping over Fae's foot (after "smelling" it), then ran to her side and nudged her head into her keeper's ribs. "Peep.." Her voice was in sympathy for her keeper's wounds.

"Hey there, Pueblo," She grinned. "I've missed you two terribly! And Sage and Ombre. I suppose they're inside sleeping? Well anywho.." She scritched Pueblo's head and snuggled the both of themon the ground. Looking around for the boxes, she hoped the damage inside wasn't as bad as it was on the outside. "I have a few things for everyone. Think of it as...Christmas almost." Her grin widened at the excitment of the two. "But it's late tonight, and mommy's back is hurting a lot now," she winced. "So, if you guys cooperate with me, you can get your gifts tomorrow." Everyone saught this fair and hopped into their "beds". Of course, everyone slept in the same room (Fae's bedroom), Twizzy in bed with Fae, and Pueblo sleeping on the foot of the bed before their feet. The two little Fenthry stayed snoozing in their match boxes upon the nightstand.
