Gin rested his elbow on his knee and his face in his palm, eyeing Kaito intently as he spoke. A slight smirk painted his lips as he listened to the young man speak. His ears twitched at the added formality the human gave him. "Ah.. Sleeping helps, but only sometimes. Sometimes, if or when you dream, the troubles haunt you then, too. I wish no such thing on you. As for me..."
The fox crossed his arms, looking down to think. Only a couple things came to mind, so he decided to voice them.
"Painting." He started. "I love to paint... And reading. I enjoy quiet life. But conversation to me is very genuine." Being a powerful spirit, the fox was able to do almost anything he wished, but it lacked companionship. Most of the things he could do were quiet activities; he hadn't an actual choice, even being a fox spirit. "Are there any places you like to walk to, particularly...?" The spirit asked, smiling gently to the boy.

Kawahashi ✺ Kaito ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ Kaito gripped the fabric of his clothes, kneading it with his fingers as he listened to the fox. Upon mentioning conversation, the boy looked up at the deity, surprised at this. He almost chuckled and stood and announced "I am so sorry, then, my dear husband, for I do not speak very much at all." If he were to do so, he'd most likely meet his death in the very near future. So, he nodded, smiled softly, and thought at the spirit's next question.
"i don't believe there is an actualy place," He answered slowly, thinking of where he usually walked to when he had the free time, "I seem to wander around aimlessly, finding myself in the forest." He left the answer at that, mind forgetting to be polite and ask the other the same question in return. There were several moments of silence, in which Kaito's mind was racing with many thoughts. The first, and largest, issue that continued to return to his mind was a simple question. The reason he didn't ask was of sheer fear, but, so far, there seemed no reason to cower in front of the spirit.
"If it's not beyond me," The eighteen-year old started slowly, "Why did you choose me, the eldest male of a family, to be your bride? I know I asked for a wish in return, but there were many other beautiful girls amongst the crowd. Why not choose them over me?" He stiffened at the words. "I don't mean this in a way that may cause you to believe I do not wish to be here." He gave a small bow, not raising his eyes to Gin's. He could only imagine what the look in them must be.

Gingitsune smiled softly, his ears turned towards Kaito, like panels, listening. "It's fine. I cherish each word from you, rare as it may be, then." He compensated. As Kaito explained to him, finding himself in the forest usually, it made the fox wonder if he enjoyed animals, or the forestry in general. The fox held his question, seeing something written on his bride's face. What he was asked was probably to be expected, to him at least.
Sighing as the boy did not look up at him, he let his hand gently touch Kaito's face, his nails gliding over soft skin. Lifting Kaito's face gently, his expression was only sedate. "I can only ever sense shyness among them, not wanting to be near me, or vanity, thinking they are perfect for me, among other things. You... You have subtle beauty, but I could feel strong will in you when I saw you. Determination, but not pure narcissism. Although... At the first moments, I feel ashamed. I thought only of your beauty and nothing else; I hadn't bothered to even look into you until later. But even now... Are you afraid of me?" Gin slid his hand a little further on Kaito's face, his long nails just behind his ear. He let his eyes show concern as well as honest curiosity. A subtle realization came to the fox's mind, so he decided to add, "Does that mean you want to be here...?" Gingitsune's tails swayed, dragging across the floor in a slow pace, unnoticed by the spirit himself.

Kawahashi ✺ Kaito ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ A faint pink had crossed Kaito's face at what the fox was saying. The compliment of being called beautiful was more for the reason as to why the boy was close to the shade of a sakura blossom. He had never felt that he was beautiful, attractive, perhaps, but not beautiful to a person. It slightly made him feel like a woman, though he didn't mind this. The next question caught him by surprise and his eyes flickered to the fox's moving tails. Kaito asked himself the question before rolling his lips in thought.
"I.." He hesitated for a second, eyebrows furrowing in thought, "Yes. Yes, I do. I would rather be here than at home or in the village." He made a face as if reconsidering what he had just said, but Kaito nodded quickly after this face. He replaced it with a soft smile at Gin, cheeks now permanently tinted with the sakura petal pink they had been before. Without very much thought, his hand went up to be placed over Gin's and his eyes lowered back to the spirit's tail. Why was he so comfortable being with the fox?
The thought became visible on Kaito's face and he gripped Gin's hand, softly squeezing it and running his thumb over the other's skin. Why?

Gingitsune▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄
Gin smiled gently, amused with the colouring in Kaito's cheeks. "Look at that.. You've graced me with a blush..." He whispered. The answer Gin had been given, it was one he wanted but until he felt as if a weight was lifted from him, he hadn't realized how much he actually had hoped for that kind of reply. For a mere second, he felt vulnerable, and quickly snatched his hand away. He watched Kaito's face, drawing back further. "I've never let my guard down.. Not even for my previous brides..." He quickly spouted, his tails finding themselves in the fox's lap. What was it about this human? He never felt so exposed before. Was he losing his touch, already, in age?
Hesitating, Gin reached out his hand again, lightly brushing against the boy's dark hair. His expression was one of self-worry; confusion, too. His eyes a little more aware. He had a strong urge to pull the boy closer, but was afraid of having to let down his guard. It was such a strange feeling. "Kaito.. You wait here. I will be back shortly. And, please, don't follow me." With that quickly spoken, Gin stood and his paw-feet strode on the floor hastily as he disappeared into the hall. The fox slid open a door revealing a room full of scrolls, books, and paintings. Pushing his way through the piles of papers sprawled and piled on the floor, he took a damp brush and scribbled down a quick note. He took a few scrolls, opening them and scanning through them. This wasn't anything ever described before; why would a deity let his guard down for a human? Growling, the spirit kicked over the table, unable to find anything of the like written down. Underneath the table he had kicked, he found older books he read long ago.
The fox opened them and scanned through the pages. Such old fairy-tales and hopeless romances; Why am I even looking at these...? The fox thought. But he had found what he was looking for. His ears flattened on his white head. "How cliché..."
Stepping from the room and re-entering the main room, Gin had his arms folded, hiding in his sleeves. His face was stoic but his tails lay flat and stiff, his ears flat. Inside, he felt so nervous; A god, nervous. He thought it was absurd. Without a word he sat beside Kaito and pulled him tightly into an embrace. Was this how it was done? The contact did make him feel better, though. Ringing through Gingitsune's head, repeatedly, he heard only 'Day two, day two, day two, day two...' Trying to ignore the nagging, he pulled away quickly before giving a short bow. "I'm sorry." He said quietly, turning away from the boy, flustered and so confused by himself.

Kawahashi ✺ Kaito ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ Kaito jumped as Gin's hand was suddenly jerked away. He was slightly frightened that he had done something to upset or anger the fox, but he couldn't see how the contact would be something of harm. The answer given made the boy pull back, his own face going to its usual emotionless form and his hands fisted in his lap. He watched the fox's tails squirming, wondering if he should touch the fox anymore. The contact to his hair made him jump, eyes darting back up to look at Gin before being lowered at the order.
The raven haired boy sat, waiting for his husband. His hands went up and brushed against his cheek where the spirit's hand previously lay. It was such a strange feeling that he had: knots in his throat and stomach and a shortness of breath. "Have I already fallen for him?" Kaito asked quietly to himself. It was only the second day, so this should not explain anything. There was a clatter from down the hall, calling the boy to look. It was a matter of seconds after that when Gin revealed himself again. He looked disinterested about anything, ears flat and body stiff. Kaito dropped his shoulders, silently wishing that the fox was back to his comfortable looking form.
And then he was embraced. It took the eighteen-year old by surprise, causing his body to stiffen and eyes to widen. Though, however sudden the embrace was, it was comforting and warm. Kaito made to return the embrace, but Gin pulled away and apologized for it. The teen hesitated before reaching a hand out and taking one of the fox's. He rubbed it with his thumb before pulling away.
"I feel ill," He lied with a soft voice, "If it's not a problem to you, I'd like to clean up and then retreat to my bed." His eyes slowly went up to look at Gin before they pulled back away. He was frightened now, but not at the fox himself. Kaito was frightened of what might happen were he to stay and continue these physical acts of affection sparking between the two.

Gin look up to Kaito curiously, feeling the comforting hand stroking his own. His ears still lay flat against his snow white tresses. He began to relax, but Kaito had pulled away from him. His ears perked as his bride clarified his supposed sickness, which immediately the fox felt a pit in his stomach. The fox spirit quickly brushed back Kaito's hair, showing his full face. "You don't feel warm.. Is it internal…? Will you be alright?" The fox questioned anxiously. Sliding closer, the fox subconsciously pulled Kaito against him and pulled him up as he stood. Sighing, he smoothed out both their kimono.
"Perhaps sleep would be best…" He agree before adding, "Would you like me to make you something? Pain relief, sedatives…?" The fox wondered if he was offering too much. Maybe the boy was just tired and hadn't slept well; it wasn't like it could have been some incurable disease; and even so he was sure he could convince other spirits or gods to find or give him the remedy for such a thing.
Realizing how frantic he seemed, Gin pulled away carefully. "Sorry… I don't mean to worry so much, Kaito." Tugging at his sleeves, he stepped away from the boy. "I'll clean up here, then. Go rest. Perhaps you'll feel better this evening?" Gingitsune could only hope. "Call for me if you need anything..." With a short bow, Gin began to pick up all the things set out, but left out the fruit. It could still survive for another day or so.

Kawahashi ✺ Kaito ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ The sudden worry strained at the fluttering feeling in Kaito's stomach. It was something that made the boy more nervous, but it also comforted him and made him...Happy? "I should be fine," Kaito spoke softly underneath all of Gin's worried questions. He smiled softly, hoping that it would reassure the fox's frantic attitude. A worried fox was the last thing that the boy wanted. He made to say something to his husband, but the other man pulled away before any words could form.
Gin had apologized for worrying, setting a different feeling to form in Kaito's stomach. As the spirit began to clean up their leftovers from breakfast, the boy shook his head and began to mumble quick words of disapproval at the fox's actions. He even mumbled something about cleaning to be his duty, about how he was supposed to do so. He slipped the tray from Gin's hands, tugging gently so that the force wouldn't cause anything to fall and break. "I'm stable enough to clean," He said quietly.
Once that errand was done, Kaito sighed out and glanced over at his husband who sat near the fruit. His face was, of course, stoic. For some reason, this made the boy smile. He went to his husband, being sure to remain quiet, but loud enough for the other to hear. He knelt on all fours to get close to Gin's face before pressing his lips gently against the fox's cheek in a soft, chaste kiss. Rolling his lips in, he pulled away.

Gin did not fight with Kaito as he tugged the dishes from him. Gingitsune sighed to himself, allowing Kaito to continue his work. His ears folded back, and his blue eyes watched carefully. The spirit slid to the wall, leaning his back against the surface. "If you are ill, you should not be working," He protested without ordering, but did not stop Kaito's actions. The fox felt more relaxed now, watching his bride pick up. Gin folded his arms into his sleeves and, although his face was expressionless, his jaw tightened as he recalled what he had read earlier. Gin closed his deep red-painted eyelids, calming himself further. It was only natural to feel this way, wasn't it?
Opening his eyes for a moment, Gin stiffened nervously as he saw how close Kaito was to him. He could feel a soft kiss planted in his cheek, despite he tried to push himself further into the wall. His face began to heat up as he turned down, blue eyes still peering, dumbfounded, at his bride. "You should… Get some rest…" He mumbled slowly, his ears flat and pointing backwards. His own thin hand gently scraped he place Kaito's lips landed, sucking in his bottom lip. Slowly sitting up straight, he reached the same hand to touch Kaito's cheek, his nails grazing just behind his ear. "Confusingly curious…" The fox murmured, sliding his fingertips underneath the boy's chin, pulling him closer, ever so slowly. Hesitating, Gin pulled himself away, folding his arms once again. "How improper of me…" He said quietly, standing as he spoke.
"Would you rather have a hot bath?" Gin asked, beginning to fully doubt the supposed illness. "You may feel better, afterwards." Ignoring what had happened moments ago, the fox spirit peered at the boy sternly, the diamond shaped figures on his forehead beginning to emit the faintest glow.

Kawahashi ✺ Kaito ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ Kaito, in fear that he had done wrong in kissing the fox, hesitantly pulled away. His eyes were to the floor as he did so, the once confident feeling he once had gone completely. Until, that is, Gin's hand took hold of his face and carressed his cheek gently. His breath hitched as he was pulled closer, heart racing at what was to come. Disappointment came over Kaito as the fox pulled away, but his body was frozen close to his husband. His eyes followed Gin as he stood and that was when Kaito pulled back himself. He cleared his throat, trying to be quiet, and brushed his hands over his yukata.
The question for the hot bath let Kaito exert a sigh. He stood and bowed, keeping his eyes off of the fox as he saw the glare coming from those piercing eyes. "A hot bath sounds nice." He answered with a quiet voice and did not straighten his back from the boy towards the fox. Kaito let out a soft sigh before stepping back to stand straight up. "And then after, if it's fine with you, I'd like to rest. My head is heavy and my stomach is light. I would not want you to become ill if that is what is overcoming me." Kaito's eyes slowly traveled up to Gin's face, hoping to see something other than a stern look on the spirit's face.
"Where is the bath?" He asked, glancing away quickly, "Is there a rag I can use to cleanse my body while in the spring?" Kaito swallowed and sucked in a breath, trying to withdraw the rejected feeling. Half of him wished that, when Gin had pulled him close, their lips had made contact. The other half of him wanted to take the opportunity of the bath to drown himelf. But that would mean Mama would stay sick..

Gingitsune set his hand on top of Kaito's head when the boy stood straight, petting him once and resting his palm on his neck. "I will get you proper sleepwear, after you bathe, to rest." He said, hinting approval for Kaito's request. "I don't get sick so easily. I will care for you, whether months or hours, until you feel better." He added, pushing against Kaito as he took a step forward. He noticed the hint of disappointment but said nothing. In fact, he tried to ignore it. how improper; taking that kind of advantage so early. He scolded himself mentally, rather than Kaito. Humans, to him, seemed like such frivolous beings, anyway. He couldn't help but feel that he should have made contact to those lips, no matter how much he rejected the idea himself.
"I will show you the spring, but unfortunately I do not have a rag. Would you rather I help?" He asked nonchalantly, not entirely thinking about what he had offered. Although, even if the boy rejected the offer, he would still stay near him. His trust didn't entirely develop. "However, I wouldn't want my bride to run away from me; I will keep close until you are done, whether or not I join you." He voiced aloud. His tails kept rested down his legs. Gin removed his hand from Kaito, touching the jewel-like imprints on his forehead, furrowing his brow. It gave him a headache, but they hadn't glowed like that in in several hundred years. Why now?
"Come... I'll show you the spring." He ordered, walking off and out of the main room, his brow still wrinkled. Letting his hand fall to his side, he turned to strut towards behind the large temple into another set of stairs. Stepping down them, the path was more flourished with plants and vibrant grasses; more wildlife behind than on the front. Mosses, shrooms, and strange wild-flowers of sorts, some glowing in the shade, grew in an abundance deeper into the wooded areas. Before long, the soft babbling of a miniaturized waterfall was heard, and beside it the hot spring, hidden in the trees. Leaning on an exotic, fruit-bearing tree, the fox spirit tugged at his collar, feeling the humidity already.

Kawahashi ✺ Kaito ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ Kaito only puffed out his cheeks or nodded as Gin spoke. He was still scolding himself for becoming too comfortable with the fox after such a short period of time. The only thing that shook him was the question of the spirit helping the boy bathe. He choked on the butterflies in his stomach that had floated into his throat, creating a small noise that sounded like a small puppy that had whimpered. His mind raced with ways to reject the offer politely, but his mouth spoke before his mind could keep up with its own thoughts. "Help would be nice." Hoping that the other had not heard him, he cleared his throat and followed behind Gin.
Gingitsune's pace was fast, making it rather difficult for Kaito to keep up with his husband. Several times, he tripped over an unforseen root or was caught on the prickly fingers of an outstretched hand of a tree. He would have complained or stuck closer to Gin, perhaps even clutched the fox's arm for balance, but, due to the uncomfortable aura that was created from the kiss he had put on the fox's cheek, he decided against it. The scenery changed and was accompanied by the soothing sound of a small, running waterfall. Kaito watched, with envy, a butterfly flutter up and out of the brush, escaping the humid area. He turned away and continued moving forward. He was not the most watchful at this moment, bumping into Gin as the spirit had stopped.
"Forgive me," He mumbled, bowing, "I was not mindful of my surroundings." He turned towards the hot springs before turning to look at Gin. His mouth opened, as if to ask something, but no sound was produced. With the silence, his hands went to undress his body. It was not long before Kaito's pale, naked body was folding his clothes and placing them on a boulder, keeping them away from becoming damp. He stepped into the hot springs as he glanced back at Gin, wondering if the entity was being perverted. What a childish thought. Without further hesitation, Kaito stepped into the hot springs, shivering as his body was engulfed in the heat of the pool.

Gingitsune▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄
The fox had only barely heard the soft voice from Kaito's lips, but said nothing before he had left.
He looked behind him, wondering how far off Kaito had been. Catching his moment with the butterfly, the fox perked an eyebrow. He wondered why the small insect struck a chord with Kaito, but faintly remembered the day before and the boy's explanation. Before he could make a comment, the teen ran into him, letting a sudden, but quiet, huff of air out of the fox. A sour look played on his face but washed away before seeing the human bow to him, apologizing for his mistake. He eyed the boy carefully, still not entirely in the best of moods. As Kaito turned to him, the fox cocked his head to the side, awaiting his voice, but nothing came.
Just then, the fox witnessed the human undressing. He thought nothing of it until he saw the milky body of the teen, his ears perking despite his face remained indifferent. The fox watched but had suddenly felt abashed, trying to stop his own cheeks from flustering. Subconsciously, he brought his hand to his face, touching his knuckled to his soft lips as blue eyes couldn't help but examine the human male. A beautiful human, indeed. It took all his self control to not even make his tails wag, but as Kaito suddenly turned to look at him, his tails betrayed him and wrapped around his own leg. His ears darted back as if had done something he shouldn't. He drew back into himself before seeing Kaito was preoccupied with the water.
Gingitsune ran his digits through his hair once before deciding to remove his own kimono. Fluidly untying the obi that held his piece together, he removed his entire wardrobe, as well as hanging his limited jewellery on a small twig. Folding his clothes in half and setting them on a branch, his padded feet made their way to the spring. His body was a ghostly white, save for the blue diamond-shapes on his forehead, but red tinted the tips of all appendages and slight projections from his skin; fingers, toes, nipples, and lips, among other things. Starting at his knees, his legs were actually little fox limbs, disproportionately small at the paws, but yet his weight could not break the small pads. He stepped his soft paws in first before sinking into the warmth. His tails floated on the water lifelessly, as with the tips of his long, white mane. Pulling out a hand from the water, Gin gently let his fingers skim Kaito's soft hair, his nails combing through the strands. Perhaps it was awkward, but Gin wasn't entirely tuned to human emotion, not quite.
"You're body as whole is more beautiful than I could have thought." He blurted casually. Seemingly nothing more than a compliment.

Kawahashi ✺ Kaito ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ The warmth and heat of the water was relaxing and allowed the tense and aching muscles on Kaito's body to ease back into the familiar tranquility that they usually dined in. His fingers twitched beneath the water, aching to toss water on his frozen shoulders. He moved and cupped some of the liquid heat in his hands and poured it on his left before his right. Shivering, he mirrored the action several more times until steam was visible from his shoulders. It was relaxing, somthing that seemed to comfortable with the boy since he'd moved in with the fox. His body was covered in barely-there goosebumps, skin still trying to become accustomed to the fire it was engulfed in. Still relaxing.
Kaito closed his eyes to further calm himself, but there was movement around him, causing his onyx eyes to open and stare at the body of the spirit. Pink had already found their ways to the boy's cheek when his body was swallowed by the heat of the spring. It slowly evolved to a fine red tint, not quite as deep as a rose, but not as faint as the stains of lipstick. He moved his eyes forward, only watching the fox from the corner of his eyes. Gingitsune had a lovely white body, making it all the more difficult to keep curious eyes from drinking in more of the other's body. It proved more difficult than the boy had liked, but he was able to keep filthy thoughts out of his head.
When the fox had combed through the teen's hair and made the comment that he did, the human's eyes darted up to look at the entity. His cheeks's red tint grew bolder as the true meaning of the compliment was thrown out the window and replaced with Kaito's own adolescent interpretation of it. He squirmed where he sat, rubbing his knees and thighs with his hands to help with his embarrassment. Stopping, he opened his mouth to speak:
"I would not think that a spirit would conjure up such innapropriate thoughts about a human."
He seemed accomplished with what he had said, nodding his head after he had spoken and not taking his eyes off of Gin's. Kaito kept their gazes locked, ignoring the evil butterflies that were building his stomach.

Gingitsune▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄
The fox spirit had been caught offguard by the teen's remark, narrowing his eyes. Perhaps his wording held an impure interpretation, but his cold coloured eyes still sent an unamused glare to Kaito. Retracting his hand and eying the rosy hues that deepened on the boy's face, Gingitsune lifted his head with superiority. "We don't." He said flatly. The boy was beautiful, indeed, but the fox's sense of sexuality had not entirely awakened yet. Despite that, he still understood Kaito's misinterpretation. "I am a chastised spirit; such thoughts hardly cross my mind." He defended.
The warmth of the water barely phased the fox spirit inwardly, though he was more or less distracted from it by the adolscent boy. His physical body, however, began to gain a more lively peach tone, compared to the cold marble hue he held naturally. Pushing hair over his own shoulders, Gin moved closer to the red-faced boy. Cupping water in his hands, he poured the steaming liquid over Kaito's head. "Do you want me to help you?" The spirit let out his hand to emphasize his offer. Ripples formed around his body as his tails swam about. The soothing sound of the nearby waterfall pouring into the spring was enjoyable to the fox. It also gave him an idea. Swimming slightly farther, towards the small falls, he beckoned the teen with his hand. "Come under the fall with me. It'll be much easier." The fox pushed aside most mischevious thoughts, but even for him it was hard to not think of a thing or two not entirely pure. The boy before him, so very flush, almost seemed to challenged his pristine nature.
Swimming farther until the water then rushed over his body. Gin's ears flattened in the pressure of the water, relaxing in the flow of heat. The air began to feel cool on his wet skin as he tried to shroud himself in the waterfall.
