Xiulong glanced over at Qiu Shui and seemed to take on a thoughtful expression, "I would likely die for him if the need arose." He agreed, if it meant keeping Master Di safe he was pretty sure that he would do all that he could up to and including dying for the man. After all his life belonged to the man, he lived for him so it only made sense that he die for him as well. His lips then turned up into a bit of a smile, "Were he to die without me... perhaps I would take his place." He told his companion with a rather pleased tone filtering into his voice at the thought of taking over in his Master's place, to become a powerful leader himself. Such a thing was a long time away though, he was no where near ready to take over for his powerful Master but that didn't stop him from indulging in the thought for a moment.

"It will be some time before such a thing could happen so its likely a foolish thing to think about at the moment, besides I am quite sure that Master Di would have a few choice words for me were he to think me coveting his position." Last thing that Xiulong wanted was to end up on that particular man's bad side.

"Huh? Someone that Master Di listen's to? Nobody that I know of, everyone here listens to every word he says as though it is law." Funny since they broke a lot of the laws that those in power had laid out, then again those that had money had power and those with power made the rules. He shifted his position so that he was no longer sitting next to Qiu Shui but instead was now sitting in front of him, facing him so they could better discuss the topic at hand.

He picked up a piece of meat off his plate before he gave a shake of his hand, "I don't believe that is true. If those our age and in our positions were allowed to indulge in our weakness we wouldn't be put into harms way. You wouldn't be covered in wounds and I wouldn't sleep with a knife under my pillow. Perhaps there are some brats who are so lucky but I don't think that sort of thinking applies to us." He popped the meat into his mouth, chewing in a content enough manner.

Sure he had a knife with him at all times, he had to worry about the jealous and unwanted affections of others at all times but that didn't bother him enough to make him worry at all moments of the day. Instead he was striving to get stronger, faster, more sneaky. Anything to be one step ahead of those that were angry over the fact that he'd been born into Master Di's good graces while the rest of their gang had to fight tooth and nail for any attention from the powerful giant of a man.

"What makes you feel that way? What makes you think so highly about your master? Is it because you were told to do so? Is it a duckling affect? You do it because that's what you first saw?" He wasn't being degrading or anything, he really wanted to know. This conversation.. It was growing into something deeper than just his initial observation.. It was a re-evaluation of how his life was, about how he became the Qiu Shui was..

"To become a leader... I can't help but wonder what one needs to become one. Someone to boss around? If that is the case, then you need weak people.. The world is a balance of weakness and strength, with other's teetering on the fence between the two. What does it take for someone to fall to power than fall to weakness?"

Suddenly, it hit him. He hated this. He hated it all, he hated the madame, he hated the shop, he hated the customers, he hated the night, for with it came the pain. Qiu Shui lowered his head, looking at his hands covered in paste. Most of all, of all the things he hated, he hated that tea. The tea that carried the same scent that he did.. That damned tea the caused men and women to become insatiable.. The tea made from dendrobium.

"I don't like being this way.. I don't like having people treating me as property.. But what choice do I have? Like you said, I'm one of those "weak" people. Just as you were born to serve your master, I was born to please others until my master, the highest bidder, comes along."

Xiulong gave a little nod, "Master Di was the very first thing I saw when I was born, yes. He also gave me a name, shrugged out of his robe to wrap it around me." He murmured, the man hadn't allowed himself to be at all phased by the fact that Xiulong had just appeared out of no where either, "There is also just... something about him, likely his strength, that draws me. I'm not the only one, both Tian Mi and Po Zei seem to fight each other often over him."

The bluenette returned to his food, taking a few more bites, finishing off all that he'd gathered onto his plate before his gaze was lifted so that he could watch his companion, "I can't say for certain if I have that same sort of strength that his Master has, that aura he seems to elude, maybe its something you get over time." He wondered for a moment what it was that Master Di had to do to become what he was, "Maybe I should talk to him about it, I would better be able to figure out how to follow in his foot steps then."

There was a moment of silence from Xiulong before his lips turned up into a smile, "Maybe I should be your Master." He told Qiu Shui, "You did say that to be a leader I would need someone to Boss around. Though... the problem with that logic would be being the highest bidder. It might take time for me to collect the money needed to have a chance." He pushed his tray out of the way, crawling over closer to Qiu Shui so he could lean in close to his companion, giving him a smile.

"I will do my best though, to follow in Master Di's footsteps, to become strong enough and rich enough to make a bid." He told Qiu Shui, his voice holding promise before he leaned in to brush a kiss over the other boy's cheek. To do what he'd said he wanted to do with Qiu Shui it would be a long and rather difficult road but it would be well worth it.

"When I was born.. There was only darkness... My first memory was waiting in a dark room, listening to the sounds of the customers of the shop... And I watched from a window, from where I laid, the moon fall, and the sun rise.. With the sun, came my 'mother', Miss Chio... She simply smiled and picked me up... And I think, that was the first and last time I felt happiness... Perhaps that's why you treasure your master so greatly.. He can cause you to reel such great emotions.. " At this point, his plate was completely abandoned, sitting by his side. As he tilted his head back to look at Xiulong, Qiu Shui's hair came loose at the ends, untwining to leave him in a halo of black satin hair.

The next words that the other spoke just drained everything from him, leaving him with an indescribable feeling that refilled his empty body. And the kiss.. His first kiss of any type.. That seemed to just spark something within him and he simply wrapped his arms around the other, resting against him just so he wouldn't fall over.

"Thank you.. Thank you so much.. I know.. That according to the Madame.. I won't be sold any time soon.. I have 'training to go through'.. But I swear.. I'll do my best to keep from being sold too soon.. I'll withstand any beatings, any pain, for the chance for you to become my master..." A large smile graced his delicate features, even though a fountain of tears began to fall. Someone he knew.. Someone he trusted.. They really wanted to Have him.. He actually meant enough to the bluebell scented boy to have him offer to buy him when the time came. The tears that fell were silent, and his voice didn't waiver as it did before. It was tears that seemed to shed off his pessimistic views; tears that slowly let the hope seep in, and leaving him physically drained, even more so than it had been before.

Xiulong gazed down at Qiu Shui as the boy leaned into him and he couldn't help but to give a smile the way that the boy clung to him. There was just something about it that he found he rather... enjoyed. He would need to be very strong if he wanted to make this one his but feeling the joy he got just having the other boy leaning into him in such a manner. He now knew why Master Di so loved to have Tian Mi and Po Zei in his arms all of the time. He hadn't quite understood before but now it all make much better sense.

Slowly the bluenette lifted a hand to run his fingers through Qiu Shui's hair in a manner that was soothing, "It would seem as though we will both need to fight hard for a chance at a future together. I hope that it will go well for us." He murmured, starting tomorrow after Qiu Shui returned back to the shop he worked at Xiulong would shed his anonymity among the group and he would reveal his desires to his Master. From there he would just have to see how things went. It wasn't as though he was the only one in the group and he was also the youngest but that meant nothing to him. He had determination and drive, he was going to live up to the name given to him by Master Di, he was going to become as powerful as a dragon.

At this moment, there was nothing else in the world but Xiulong, in Qiu Shui's eyes. He didn't pay attention to anything else in the world, just the one who's arms he was resting in. The roof of the building could be on fire, or even the Madame could come and try to scream at him, but it wouldn't phase him, not at this moment. And now he understood how Xiulong could be so dedicated to his master. A vague thought crossed his mind, as his silent musings led him to wonder if Xiulong felt this way when his own master acknowledged him.

As the tears quietly began to subside, his body became limp, and he slumped against Xiulong even more. His eyes slowly slipped closed, and his grip on the bluenette loosened until his hands were resting more on the other's lap, than gripping his robes. Exhaustion had finally set in. But in the warmth and wanted comfort of another's arms, with the feeling of hope spreading to his very fingertips, sleep came easy.

Sometime later, after dealing with the guy who was foolish enough to try to lay a hand on what was his, Qiang Di and the rest of his group returned to the bath house most of them in need of just that aside from Master Di and Po Zei who had sat out of the violence session. He was first to get himself a bath, tended to by Tian Mi and Po Zei both and he was forced to deal with their bickering until he silenced then both with a look. He'd had enough of their arguing from his the two loyal, if at times annoying, servants.

From there he pulled on a robe and headed off to find Xiulong, stepping into the room where the boy slept and couldn't help but to give a little smirk as he found the bluenette curled up sleep with the rented pet as though they were a pair of little pups, "You really are a naive little thing, aren't you Xiulong." He muttered, finding a great amount of amusement in the fact that his adopted son had gone so far as to start a fight with something more then twice his size, daring to even stab the guy, so that he could sleep with Qiu Shui in the most innocent manner possible. Foolish little thing. Oh well, he'd paid for them to play together, not for them to go any farther then that so it was best that Xiulong seemed able to stand against that dangerous perfume that Qiu Shui seemed to cover himself in.

He motioned to Tian Mi to gather the dishes in the room before with the help of Po Zei he tucked the boys in, leaving the room to allow them to enjoy the last few hours before Qiu Shui was to be returned to the shoppe he came from.
