_lain0 3D Blast... It was just a slowdown to the series....weak controls...and slow paced gameplay... gah...the opening level's background music haunts me in my dreams scream Now, I can quite happily listen to the BGM all day. I was overjoyed when bits turned up in Sonic Adventure smile I had the MegaDrive version, by the way. Never got used to the music on the Saturn / PC version. DW

If 3D Blast had anything going for it, it was the music. When I first played the game, I really didn't pay much mind to it, but once I discovered the wonderful ability of Saturn cds to be played in regular cd players, I truly discovered just how dang good it sounds.
Plus "You're My Hero" is easy on the ears ^^;...

Sea-Salt Ice Cream Plus "You're My Hero" is easy on the ears ^^;... I'll agree with that. Pure bubblegum, but fun. I think it probably left a lasting impression due to being the first Sonic vocal track that I actually heard.

sonic heroes sucked big time, its plot was bad, its physics system bugged out alot, i fell through rails even though i landed on it, the final boss cheated, and overall it just sucked. i only liked the unlockable game variants and mecha modes

I may be missing out on something here... DW I have to say, it's catchy.... but very much a matter of taste. Personally, I've always found its tendency to never, ever leave the head again distressing. The Panic Puppet and Final boss pieces, however, are great.

I still think this thread is the sorriest thread in the whole guild. Given everyones entitled to their opinion, but this guild is a place for the love of all things Sonic. Honestly, I can find something good in all the Sonic games mentioned in this thread. I dunno, maybe I'm just miffed at the fact that Sonic the Hedgehog is still an option on the poll, when honestly that game made him a star, and so many of my game memories are with that game.
@ spark, final bosses don't cheat. If a final boss in a video game cheated, then it would be unbeatable. Now that makes me want to also say that Sonic Heroes was good in the fact that it was attempting to test out new videogame ideas, And no one can say they didn't find at least one portion of Sonic Heroes to be cool. (I thought the boss fights, and hang castle, were awesome.)
Now on my opinion about 3d blast, it may not have been as exciting as other games, but it was good use of rendered graphics, and adding a real use to the animals trapped in Robotniks robots was honestly genius. Diamond Dust Zone was beautiful in my opinion.
Thus ends my rant.

True, but as I've said before: speaking strictly for myself, I'm not one of those fans who believes that being a fan of something means unconditionally swallowing anything with the right franchise name on it. If I see a game or a spin-off or a piece of merchandise that I think is sub-par and going to give something I enjoy and invest time and occasional money in a bad name, then I'm going to say something. I'd rather do that than let whoever's peddling the stuff think that they can get away with treating the people who support them like cash cows. By its nature, a thread asking people for their opinions of the worst game is going to attract more comments about the negative elements in exploring the reasons why. I don't want to speak for anyone else here, but I'd be very surprised if anyone talking about these games can find no redeeming qualities in them whatsoever. smile Thanks for not being put off saying something by all of the negativity. Sonic 3D was horrible on the graphics! You had to cross your eyes just to watch it and got sick in ten minuets. Not to mention the bad controls.
Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine comes in close too, that really had absolutely no purpose and was crap. stare
