felinoel Bulbasauurr Umm why do you say everything as a question? No more types please. I really don't feel like memorizing new types, plus they are balanced enough. This is like light type speculation... Only two of those three statements were questions, and as for why, because I was questioning But I'm a guy?Are you not fully sure?

Another type? Much less a sonic type? Do not want. The game works perfectly fine with the existing seventeen. Though thinking about what Kyren said, a type with those offensive and defensive characteristics would provide an interesting change to the way people battle in today's metagame.
Also a space type wouldn't make sense at all. Just because it comes from outer space doesn't mean it's different from earthly pokemon. Planets and things of the like are made up of elements you can find here on earth, so naturally pokemon from said planets would also be made of elements found here on earth.

Mutant Cell felinoel But porygon isn't a steel type? Perhaps only porygon-z would get the space typing?I think that some sort of type identifying Pokemon from space could be made into the game. I mean Deoxys was from space, Jirachi was...I mean I don't think it is likely but if they really wanted to they could make a bunch of interesting Pokemon themed out of space. Don't forget about the gen 1 pokemon from space? Gamefreak41495 felinoel Bulbasauurr Umm why do you say everything as a question? No more types please. What is wrong with sonic? It already exists in the game as its own type? Just only in the coding... Quote: Also a space type wouldn't make sense at all. Well they do have cosmic-y attacks, and what earthly pokemon evolves with the moon stone? Meaning those pokemon are different from earthly pokemon? Not every element you can find in space can be found on Earth? Especially if you don't count the non-terrestrial elements that come to Earth in meteors Both my physical self and Gaian avatar are male...

Okay guys, quit griefing felinoel for his idea and quesitoning his gender (not even sure how that became a topic to be honest). In either case, let's keep all further discussion on topic.felinoel what earthly pokemon evolves with the moon stone? What do you mean by "earthly". Because, aside from Nidorino and Nidorina... Clefairy, Jigglypuff and Skitty all evolve via Moon Stones.

You took that out of context, I said earthly because someone used that as a descriptor, then later someone responded to that question, not with Skitty though (I think), but with most the rest

Sonic or Sound type, I thought the same thing before.
I also thought that Zubat fit better as Sound type than poison (whats poisonous about bats? but they do have echolocation), and yanma and jigglypuff, as well as the others listed on the front page.
But I was told the metagame was pretty ballanced type-wise, and the two newest types were made to create that balance. Making a third type might actually hurt that... although it'd be nice to have something super-effective against Spiritombs (it'd be a Ghost-type weakness)(also, not a lot of people use Foresight/Odor Sleuth so Fighting doesn't really count)

My Gengar is frail enough without another type to screw it over...

Second, you just agreed that the types are balanced, making another would upset that balance. Third, the balance of the types has nothing to do with Gengar's frailty. Most neutral moves can KO it. A super-effective one just seems like overkill to me.
