John watched with a slight smirk, his small black wings folding against his back.
"Nothin much, your little friend there just thought he could come running through my territory..." The tiny Talaye let out a snarl at John, who by now had attempted to reach over and poke the little pup.

"John! Leave him alone... That's no way to treat our neighbor!" the female scolded. "I'm Jane," she said plesantly, offering the short one her paw. "And this is John.."

John frowned slightly, withdrawing the paw.
The small pup eyed them warily a moment before putting his own paw forward. "Name's Lunaris..." After the shake he quickly pulled back his paw. Lunaris scooted his stick behind him so John wouldn't be tempted to poke that too.

"If you don't mind my asking, what's the stick for?" Jane inquired, her curiousity getting the better of her.

John muttered to himself some sort of comment about stilts, smirking the whole time.
Lunaris merely glared at John before continuing the conversation with Jane. "It's got a certain evolved Tala's name on it...stupid arrogant Bullseye think he's the best assassin around, well I'm going to show him..." The mini pup grinned, the plan of murder playing out in his head.

"Assassin?" Other assassins living nearby? Wonderful! So much for being nice to the neighbors. "Where is this...Bullseye?"

Lunaris cocked a brow, not really understanding why anyone would want to know where Bullseye was. The small pup turned, pointing with a paw. "He stays over that way somewhere...near a river." The pup turned back, eyeing the two.
John merely gave a bored yawn.

"Thank you." Turning, Jane headed off in the direction Lunaris had pointed. "Lets go John, we have work to do..."

John's ears perked up. "Work?" Grinning, the pup bounded off after his mate.
"Whatever..." The tiny pup turned back to his stick.

Once they had travelled out of hearing range, Jane glanced back at John. "I wonder just how much competition we have here."

"Like anyone can actually compete with us?" The playful pup bounded up beside his mate, smirking at her. "We're good Jane....and we're only going to get better. This Bullseye character is probably already past his prime. And that tiny pup back there doesn't really pose much of a threat."

"It'd be a dangerous gamble to underestimate them John. We should lay low until we find out more about him. Today, we're only friendly neighbors."

"But being the friendly neighbors is boring..." John grinned, manuvering himself behind the white pup before leaping to tackle her.

Jane, busy concocting a reply, failed to notice her counterparts movement. "Oof!" she cried as she hit the dirt under John. Snarling a bit, she struggled to push him off. "John! This is no time for play!"

The black pup sat down, much like Jane had done to him earlier. "But it's ALWAYS a good time for play!" John leaned over, nipping the other pup gently on the ear. Grinning the pup leapt back off of her, kneeling down before her to look into her eyes.
