It is said that as many days as there are in the whole journey, so many are the men and horses that stand along the road, each horse and man at the interval of a day’s journey; and these are stayed neither by snow nor rain nor heat nor darkness from accomplishing their appointed course with all speed.~Lorelei~
Lorelei knew she hadn't seen everything-- the world was a big place and obviously there were things she'd never before encountered. Though, that list was at least a little shorter: with the addition of first, blood on a lance in her hand. Second, the sight of a monstrously huge dragon shrinking, doubling over into something as small and familliar-looking as a human being. A little red smudge, even-- far below. Just like any other man on the ground.
The archers were gone, thank heavens, so Lorelei glided low over the field of combat. No... no... no... She couldn't see the big bandit that had taken her cargo anywhere. As Lorelei wheeled around, her mind raced. Where would someone take it? Would she have to search every body for it?
In her mind, there were three options. First, that the letters were destroyed, and she wasn't going to be paid at all. Second, that whoever had taken it still had it-- and that person was likely dead. Third, that that person had handed it off or had put it down before he died, and where it could have been if that was the case was anybody's guess.
Lorelei didn't like to curse, but she did then.
Well, the first option was right out. There was no point giving up and simply condemning to failure. If things got so dangerous, after most of the fighting was over, then she'd leave with the letters she still had and deliver them. Then again, she could leave... some letters delivered were better than no letters...
No, that was stupid, Lorelei thought. Option two would take too much time, she continued, so the third option would have to be the one she'd take.
Maybe one of the hostages had the cargo, even. Lorelei would have to comb the entire place for the envelopes anyway, so it was better to start with the easiest thing, and then do the hardest things. She really, really hoped she wouldn't have to search the whole village or the corpses, but if it came to that...
Lorelei descended Cyrano from the skimming flight as a young man fell out a window some ways away. Oh, whatever-- that didn't matter. She landed by the healer, Mihira, and what she guessed was (somehow) the dragon.
"I'm going to have to look at the whole place; I can't find half of my delivery," Lorelei said dejectedly. "I think I've got to start by helping you. Maybe."

The young man smiled, sheathed his sword and shook the hand of the soldier. "And my thanks to you all as well. I'm just a traveling merchant, kind of. I kill stuff-- monsters, beasts, and sell what I can get off of them. Like pelts, teeth, bones... Whatever. It's all good material for making weapons or jewelery or clothing... I'm from Mordache. I was heading to Eyris to set up shop there." He pushed his hair back from his face a bit and grinned. "I just need a fresh start."
He looked back toward where he had come from briefly and saw that his bag of wares was still lying next to the inn he had come out of. "Ah-- Looks like nobody took my stuff yet. Excuse me for a minute." He quickly ran back to the bag, picked it up, checked inside briefly and began walking back to the soldiers.

xxxxx"If you're worried about surviving, xxxxxxxyou can worry about it after you're dead!" "The wyvern riders of Bern sit atop the heap of all other forces on the continent!" xxxxx "You will see our power soon!"
"Haa!" The mighty uberspear slashed the throat of a brigand. "Yaaah!" The weapon took off the arm of another. The shouts of battle went on and on until the bandits attacking the Guard Commander were nothing but mounds of corpses surrounding the bulky black wyvern the Commander rode. The woman finally lowered her spear and breathed heavily. They were no match for her even with all of them against her, but she had still gotten tired.
Vaida looked down at Umbriel, inspecting her mount's condition. "Looks like you got a couple of scratches, Umbriel. Nothing too threatening... I know it must be a pain, but just hang in there until this mess is over and I'll get you patched up."
Wyvern riders flew over and landed by their commander. They had finished their tasks, but were clearly late in backing up their Commander, though she didn't really need the help. Vaida scoffed at their tardiness. "Good of you to join me! Alright, now that we've secured the village, let's go get back those captives. I want all the troops not tending to villagers to round up and surround the enemy. Make no sudden movements, once in position! Move out!"
The riders took off again. Some of them went to relay the order to the soldiers on the outskirts, and others went right to moving to surround the bandits. Vaida herself began to fly straight down the main village pathway. She would confront the bandit leader and end the battle for good.
 W y v e r n L o r d V a i d a* xxxxx"Well maybe I'm weak... xxxxxxxand maybe I really am useless..." "But I will still fight on just the same!" xxxxx "Maybe one day I will no longer be invisible..."
The fighting had finally taken a break. Mihira was relieved.
Once all the bandits had been dealt with, Mihira landed and began to search the bodies for the missing letters, for Lorelei. The Learanian soldiers, keen on their orders, instinctively began to search the corpses as well. They weren't searching for the letters, but knew better than to not check if the bandits were all dead.
Having no luck, the scout made her way over to where everyone was gathering. Sister Victoria was healing the fire dragon and it looked like he was going to be fine. She didn't say so, but Mihira relieved that everyone was okay.
As the soldiers made their way back over, they stopped when seeing the man fall out of the window. They held up their weapons for caution at first, but then saw that he wasn't a bandit. He definitely wasn't dressed like one. He looked more like a villager. It certainly explained how the bandit archers had just somehow stopped firing. Sensing no danger, one of the soldiers helped the archer up and brought him over with them to the group.
Mihira smiled when she saw Lorelei fly down. "I'm sorry... none of the bodies I searched had your letters." The scout looked passed the pegasus rider to see the soldiers coming up. "Oh! Did you all happen to find any letters amongst the bodies?" The Soldiers shook their heads and explained that they didn't really find anything. "Oh... Well then...."
The girl was cut off as a wyvern rider descended by the group. "The Commander's given the order to surround the enemy! Move out!" After delivering the news, the rider took off. He wasn't going to stay and explain anything. He knew his orders.
The soldiers muttered to each other then began to move out. Mihira ran to Darius and mounted as quickly as she could. "Finally.. we're going to end this. If the letters are still with a living bandit, then they'll be where the Guard is headed. Let's go, everyone..." A flick of the reigns sent Darius into the air, and Mihira was off to do her part.
W y v e r n S c o u t M i h i r a* "I'm from Mordache."The soldiers dropped their jaws and stared at the stranger. The man who just helped them... who they had just helped. He was Mordachean. The man didn't have to walk back to the soldiers. They were already there when he turned around. The one who still had a weapon and hadn't been talking to the Mordachean held up his spear with the tip pointed at the man's chest. "Don't make a move!" He turned to the weaponless soldier. "Get his weapons." The first soldier, the one who had been speaking with the stranger held up his arm to keep the weaponless soldier from going to retrieve the weapon. "Hey, calm down! He's not a soldier!" "It doesn't matter!" the angered soldier shouted. "He's still from Mordache! They're all evil!" The first soldier acted quickly and hit his angry companion, knocking him to the ground. "Thinking like that makes you no better than them!" He then picked up the weapon and gave it to the third soldier who had lost his. "I'm sorry stranger... but you showing up in a battle against our enemies like this, and you being Mordachean, I'm sure you can see how that looks. But you saved my friend's life here, so I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt." Just then, a wyvern landed by the group and the rider called out to them. "Commander Vaida has given the order to move out! We're going to surround the remaining bandits! Let's go!" The rider took off. The first soldier looked at his two companions and nodded. They began to run out, but the first stopped and looked at the foreigner. "What do you say, stranger? Up for lending a little more help?"

Oh how the tide had turned.
Things did not look well for the scantily clad Sentrian woman. Wyvern riders and foot soldiers were moving to surround her and the remaining bandits. Too bad for the Learanians... they didn't have control, yet.
Out of the woods and over the river, bandits suddenly appeared and took the Learanian riders in the rear of the encirclement by surprise. The bandits cheered for their own success and continued their charge towards the other soldiers, not stopping to pay heed to Jezebel.
What was about to be a stand off had been turned right back into chaos.
Oh how the tide was twisted in the storm of war.

After one of lonliest showers in the world, he shook it off and got ready for the patrol he was told to do. Heath was ready for this patrolling thing to go down. You know, since the whole "blow off Heath" group left, he'd not stop bickering to himself; it lead to some rather agressive feelings. Patrolling would take the load off.
"Is everyone set?" a unanimous yes was shouted. "Good, we're just going for some minor patrolling. Does everyone have their Wyvern groomed for speed?" The crowd paused and molted many faces over the question, before one person said "Yeah!" Heath smirked, "Great, let's get going." A flurry of helmet-putting-on sounds burst quickly and they took off.
Heath looked at his side to see a soldier out of formation and within talking distance. He didn't want to raise a scene with his own men, so he decided to keep this conversation private. "Hey man, is there a reason you're riding so close and out of normal formation?" The fellow rider felt intrusive. "I uhh... Wanted to ask you something, sir. Do people ever get on your nerves when they complain about us not doing much? Because it seems like the other groups go out more." Heath pondered a response for a bit, and began, "It annoys me when people don't listen, mostly. That's the cause of most ignorance." The soldier realized he wasn't entirely following orders and backed off. "...I'm sorry, sir." He slowly got back into position and resumed the formation. Heath looked ahead again, smirking. He was at least smart about it. Most wouldn't realize that I just told them to bug off. Although... it did fit his question nicely, as well.
"Sir, there's a conflict to the... 2' clock area!"
Delightful, they're using my new system of cardinal directions. I hope it catches on. "Let's check it out, but remember, try not to be seen until you confirm friend or foe. And then still be unseen to the foe, if possible. Remember Patty!"
The group shouted back, "Remember Patty!"
They flew low to the ground, scoping out the situation. A few minutes passed, and the conjured to a meeting point. "It seems as if it's Sentria and our boys, Sir." "How can you be sure, Douglas?" "Well, I'm pretty that was Vaida. Her knockers really give it away." At this point in time, Heath would have liked to think that the thought of Vaida's huge tits was in everyone's head, bouncing playfully. "And for the Sentrian ones?" "Just a hunch, but I'm pretty sure." "All right, Douglas, you, Bernard, and Filet Mignon come with me. The rest of you, stay put right here. I don't care if you have to pee, don't leave."
Heath headed out into the battlefield with Douglas, Bernard and Filet Mignon right behind him.

Rahkain threw his hands up as the soldier threatened him. "Whoa! Listen, I'm not---"
"He's still from Mordache! They're all evil!"
Rahkain blinked in surprise. "No... We aren't..."
As the soldiers calmed down, Rahkain put his hands down. "Listen, I don't really know what's going on. All this war stuff and calling my people "evil". I don't know what my country has to do with this, but you're got it all wrong... I'm not here to pick a fight. I just came here because I wanted a new start somewhere less... Well you know how it is there. I'm not "evil". I'm a man making a damn living... damn."
A wyvern landed and the rider gave them news about someone called "Commander Vaida" telling them to move out. He smiled a bit uncertainly at soldier that turned back to him to ask for his help. "Yeah. Maybe on the way, you can explain a few things about the war to me..."

xxxxxx"You foolish men who walk the earth like blasted kings!" x "I will collect my trophies soon."8===========================> xx J e z e b e l xx <===========================8 xxxxxThe Learanians got passed the mass of bandits and surrounded the remaining ones, along with Jezebel. The sight of wyverns should have been intimidating. In response to them, Jezebel yawned.
Out in front a woman appeared that made Jezebel's head turn. She was decorated as an officer, making her seem of importance. "Oh, are you in charge? I'm not sure what you think you're going to do. You may have beaten those oafs, but if you hadn't noticed, I've still quite a few hostages here." She winked at the blond wyvern commander. "So here's what's going to happen. Since I can't get anymore hostages, I'll be leaving with what I have here. So just move your silly lizards out of the way, and-"
A bunch of bandits then came out of nowhere and butchered up some wyvern a**. Jezebel turned to see them charging passed her and at the Learanians. One of them clumsily bumped into her, causing her to let go of the blue-haired child. "..Gah, you morons! I had everything under control!! AHHHHH, YOU STUPID MEN!!" Jezebel looked around to see that her reinforcements had caused the fighting to start again, which meant she had to as well. "Attack! Clear a path for our escape!"
The berseker gripped her poleaxe and used it against the first soldier that came at her. The archers fired at anything with wings. The brigands... hell, they went at anybody and everybody, use your damn imaginations. Get to it.
"Your wangs shall be a fine addition to the others!"xxxx xxxxx"If you're worried about surviving, xxxxxxxyou can worry about it after you're dead!" "The wyvern riders of Bern sit atop the heap of all other forces on the continent!" xxxxx "You will see our power soon!"
"What the hell?!" The sudden charge of bandits wasn't just a surprise to the ruby-haired woman, it was a surprise to Vaida as well. Some of her troops were taken out in a matter of seconds and any chance of resolving the conflict peacefully was thrown out the window. With the bandits on the offensive, there was no choice but to retaliate. "Damn it... counter them! Do not let them escape with any villagers!!"
The battle picked up and Vaida paused for a moment to see troops flying towards her. She wasn't expecting any reinforcements and knew nothing of any other troops in the immediate area. As the fliers got closer, Vaida was able to discern that one of them was Heath. "Tch.... What is he doing here?" Her attention were interrupted when Umbriel let out a roar as she clawed an incoming brigand. Vaida couldn't worry about what Heath was going to do. She had to focus on the battle.

Bandit swarms came out of nowhere, for the moment that Vaida looked at him, he concluded it was a "kill s**t, ask later" situation.
"Filet Mignon!" Heath said.
"Sir!" Filet Mignon shouted back.
"Go get the others!"
"Got it!" And with that, Filet Mignon head back. When he got there, three of them were holding a pee contest. Why-- it doesn't matter. "Guys, let's go. Finish your streams and come help us keep the big tittied woman alive."
One of the guys looked over and said, "You know, you CAN call her by her name."
"I know, but I love how stupid the word 'titties' is." They then departed after two shakes and a zip.
By this time, some bandits had already formed a pile around Heath, being that he was killing them. Like a reverse moat, elevated, and with axes.

Mirate corpus meum, pinnās meās, ignem meum! Fire Dragon With FD feeling better and there not yet being an obvious course of action to take yet, it wouldn’t hurt to make sure everyone was okay. One of the two people FD hadn’t recognized, the Pegasus Knight, was now grounded nearby. FD overheard her speaking gloomily, perhaps to herself, perhaps to everyone about finding a delivery. FD wondered if she had ‘arrived’ in Learania from somewhere completely different as many people had before.
Since it was a possibility, he felt it best to see if she was alright – make sure she isn’t overwhelmed. The dragon remembered how isolated he had felt when he, himself, had first come to this world, having just been defeated, manipulated, and forced through the Dragon’s Gate. So he approached her.
“Are you alright, ma’am? You don’t look to be one of the villagers or a member of the Guard.” He knew she wasn’t from Eyris or she’d have come with the troops, just as he had, so that possibility was eliminated. “Are you alright? Is there a problem? I’m FD, by the way,” he finished, offering his hand to introduce himself, "the uh... dragon from earlier." It was always awkward for FD to introduce himself as a different species to people who may have come from worlds where dragons didn't exist, where dragons were thought evil, or where they were the subject only of legends. But introducing himself honestly helped to engender bridges of communication and combated prejudice.
Just then, some Wyvern Rider had shown up to inform everyone on the outskirts of the village where the bulk of the bandits had been dealt with that Commander Vaida had sent out the order to surround the enemy leader and whoever was with her. Could this mean perhaps the conflict in Tharis would finally be coming to a close? He’d at least hear out the Pegasus Rider first, before transforming back to hurry to where all the Wyvern Riders were now headed.

I've been blessed with the gifts of the gifts of the Lady Saint, so show me some respect! It's not every day you find a rarity like me.₪Victoria₪ Victoria received a word of thanks from the fiery one for helping him out of his predicament. She had to admit that seeing one of her dearest members of her order being in good condition was more than a comfort on a battlefield such as this one, where anything and everything could happen. "You're welcome as always, Fire Dragon." she said, nodding in his direction. However, the smirk she wore quickly faded to a straight-faced expression. This was but a small triumph in the battle that was still ahead of them. FD was right, there were still hostages to be freed, and without the Rescue Staff's magic, things would have to be done the hard, old-fashioned way.
In other words, it was time to waste more bandits and make them sorry for messing with Learania. "We'll defeat our enemies now! That shall be the only way we'll be freeing any of the hostages." Victoria said to the dragon, now arming herself with her Divine and preparing to close in on them. It was about time they started going on the offensive anyway. Too long on the defense, and Learania would be backed into a corner. That wouldn't do at all, not for the fighters nor the civilians that they fought so hard to protect.
But just as she was thinking about going a little bit more forward, confidently, enemy reinforcements were on their way! Luckily, more numbers came on her own side as well, in the form of Heath and his troops. This was truly getting nowhere fast, the bishop thought as she chanted a light spell, aiming at the first enemy she happened to see. Time to let the end of the battle begin. ΘжElmine's LightжΘ If you are my ally, fear not, for healing is on your way! If you're my enemy, you'll be purged, and dead you shall stay. If this battle's truly ending tonight and I'm not online later, just assume Victoria used light magic, and healed people who needed it. She IS the only Bishop here after all. =P

"The... d... dragon?"
Lorelei figured it had to be true, but it was almost too odd to be believed. This was a dragon? He seemed... not nearly scary enough to be one. How did he get so enormous? Or was it the other way around and he had just gotten small enough to speak to her now?
Oh, she thought, she sounded so stupid.
"N... no, I'm not with the wyvern riders," said Lorelei quietly. "I was flying overhead with the mail I was going to deliver and I got shot down... now some of it is stolen. I'm not sure if I should stay and look for it or leave with the cargo I still have."
She gulped. "I mean, there's not much I can do. I tried but... maybe I should just leave this to the professionals."
Because, she thought, maybe I have to help them. Or maybe I'm wrong and I should just go and let the dragon and the soldiers do the fighting. I feel kind of sick already...
No. No. I'm not going to get sick. I've got to be okay.
Lorelei gathered up Cyrano's reins. The dragon didn't have long to speak, she figured.
"Mr. FD, I've heard that d...dragons are wise. I think. What do you think should I do?"

Ignis Draconis sum. Thema fabulae, thema apologi.c** igne sacrō, Flametongue, (prō amicīs pugnō) prō pace volō. Miliibus annīs supervivē, cicatricēs temporis possideō. Mirate corpus meum, pinnās meās, ignem meum! Fire Dragon Mr. FD? He was flattered, albeit in an awkward way. And she was missing mail? Maybe THIS was why FD had been asked not to breathe fire upon the bandits. Wait… he didn’t use his Flametongue because of some mail? It had better be some important mail, he thought to himself.
“Well, you’re free to do whatever you like. But it looks like we’re about to go deal with whatever bandits are left. And hopefully, after that you should be free to search all you want for the letters without any worries. Plus, you might be able to ask some of the other riders if they know anything about your cargo. Maybe you should ask Vaida, the commander,” FD suggested. “If you want to help out against the bandits, we’d appreciate it, but no one’s making you. If you do though, feel free to stick by me and you should be fine.”
With that, FD hurriedly transformed again back to his dragon state to help surround the remaining bandits. The situation was tense, but the bottom line was if worst came to worst, the Learanians would win. But then more bandits came out of nowhere – or rather, from the forest and crossing the river – and there was chaos again. More Learanian’s had shown up, too, fortunately.
How should FD act in this situation? He didn’t want to unnecessarily ruin Lorelei’s chances of finding her mail by burning it up on one of the bodies that may still be carrying it (although if it was necessary to do so, he would). And they couldn’t allow for any of the bandit’s to escape – but to escape, they’d have to cross the river – which would definitely slow them down. Additionally, the bandits coming from it wouldn’t have the letters, making them good targets for Flametongue, and blasting them over water would be a good way to use his fiery breath without starting a fire. Guard the river, than! FD could take out bandits crossing it to attack and take out bandits trying to escape that direction, too!
The dragon slew some bandits along the way with his claws before reaching it, and then dealt with any enemies in the vicinity that he could. No one was crossing the river at the moment, so he just… attacked things. It’s an attacking post. He does that. You get the idea.

And here Alex thought he would finally get some rest today, but noooo. Bandits just had to come charging in making him work again. He was already tired running between house to house taking out the archers and no he has to fight more bandits. Great, just great. "You know, I'm not even part of your army," he said as he took a couple steps back. "I'm just a passing hunter who got caught in the midst of a skirmish. There really is no point in me continuing to help you guys now, I believe you can handle the rest on your own." Alex turned around not realizing a bandit was charing right at him. Alex flinched in fear as he got ready for a axe to the face. "Ahh!" he screamed as he closed his eyes.
A few seconds later, he opened his eyes slowly as he was wondering why he was not dead yet or had not felt any pain. The bandit was dead on the ground and it seemed that the soldiers of the army had killed it, saving his life. Alex looked at the soldiers and chuckled. He was just made into a complete idiot. He slowly pulled out his bow. "Alright, I'll help you guys right," he sighed. What else was there for him to do. With more bandits, he can't possibly flee the village right now. It looks like he'll have to help them.
Alex noticed a guy with red hair. wait, he does not look familiar at all. he does not remember seeing him in the battle. Of course everything was explained in the few seconds when the guy suddenly transformed into a dragon. "Holy crap!" he said as the transformation surprised him. How could that guy suddenly turn into a giant dragon like that? The sharpshooter could not even answer that himself. Well it didn't really matter, the dragon was on their side and that was that really did matter. Things didn't have to make sense as long as it helped you. Simple logic for a simple man.
Pulling back his bow, he armed his bow with an arrow. It quickly launched at the first bandit he caught with his eye. "Damn," he said as he pulled out another arrow. "I lost count," was all he said as his arrow pierced another brigand that was caught with his eye. He had to make sure that the enemy was not getting close to him. Close combat was obviously his downfall, unless it was against other archers then he would probably he a whoever gets lucky first.
He realized that he was a bit too close to the front line and should take his position a few steps back. However, he couldn't just turn around and find a new spot, that would leave his back open. He kept his bow ready to aim as he was taking steps backwards. Eventually, he was near a bishop who was attacking the bandits with light magic. "Pardon my intrusion," was all he said as he concentrated on taking out the bandits. Can't really make conversation while fighting, so he would have to save the introductions for later.

xxxxx"Well maybe I'm weak... xxxxxxxand maybe I really am useless..." "But I will still fight on just the same!" xxxxx "Maybe one day I will no longer be invisible..."
This wasn't supposed to be how it happened! Learania had surrounded the enemy. It was supposed to end! How did these other bandits get here?! Were they hiding all the time? Well, dwelling on that didn't matter. Fighting had started once again and the hostages were caught in the middle of it. They had to be helped.
The Commander seemed to be dealing with the brunt of the bandit forces now, so Mihira and all the riders closest to the hostages took off. They assaulted the archers, who were more focused on saving themselves above killing hostages. Once they were taken care of, the riders surrounded the villagers to keep other bandits away. The hostages would remain safe!
As Mihira fought, saw new wyvern riders come into the field. "..S-sir Heath! You came..." Her cheeks grew red as she watched him fight. It may not have actually looked the way she saw it, but in her mind, the wind was blowing his hair gracefully about in slow motion. He had already killed a good pile of bandits. He was so strong... so handsome... so-"Hey! Focus!" "Ah!" She jumped as one of her fellow soldiers scolded her. How foolish of her to lose herself in the middle of the battle. It was not the time to daydream. She just had to focus on keeping the bandits back.

Jezebel swung her poleaxe and lopped off the head of a soldier. This was a big mess and it was just getting worse. She turned around and saw that the Learanian army had seized the hostages! There was no point in staying anymore.
But as she looked to the bridge, she saw that it was being guarded by the dragon! "Of the love of- They couldn't even take care of that?!" She had thought the men she sent out had subdued the dragon. But nope, now the easy way out passage couldn't be used.
While Jezebel was looking around, she caught the sight of a wyvern rider coming at her. She rolled out of the way of the initial swoop and jumped back to her feet. The letters she had on her slipped out, but Jezebel didn't take the time to notice. When the wyvern landed and went to bite her, she parried then swung the poleaxe down. She chopped and chopped until the creature's head fell to the ground and the neck wobbled about, spraying blood everywhere. When the body crashed, Jezebel jumped up and looked at the rider. She winked at him, then swung the axe between his legs. (And for God's sake, I hope it was Filet Mignon)
By then, most of the bandits were dead. "Hm, whoops. Guess I better go~ Sorry, Learanians, but I'm not so foolish that I would stay and die. We'll meet again." After making a path out of the battle, Jezebel ran to the river and jumped into it. She dived under the water and didn't resurface until she was too far away.
The battle was Sentria's loss.
"Your wangs shall be a fine addition to the others!"xxxx

It is said that as many days as there are in the whole journey, so many are the men and horses that stand along the road, each horse and man at the interval of a day’s journey; and these are stayed neither by snow nor rain nor heat nor darkness from accomplishing their appointed course with all speed.~Lorelei~
Up close, seeing the normal-seeming man transform into an enormous dragon was, in a compound word, awe-inspiring. Lorelei didn't know how to really quantify it in her mind. It was just too incredible for her to even imagine-- yet it had happened.
Is this what things were like in Learania all the time? Lorelei had never been to Eyris...
Well, Mr. FD was right, she realized. She'd been too afraid to find anybody with authority, but she realized that maybe the best person to go to was the leader here. For a good few hours, Lorelei hadn't even known there's been a leader... but it was an army, wasn't it? That was how armies worked right?
Lorelei didn't really know. She'd trained pegasus' for army maneuvers, but she didn't really know much about the military herself.
Well, there seemed to be reinforcements, even though there were more scary bandits, too. So maybe finding the leader wouldn't be too hard. Well, if they all rode wyverns maybe it was the one on the biggest wyvern.
Lorelei would just have to go and find out. She clutched the light javelin tightly and pushed Cyrano on, firmly telling herself that this was crazy. She should just leave, she knew. But she'd also told herself that she had to be brave and would do this job no matter what.
So what if that meant helping some soldiers? Maybe they wouldn't be too mean to her. Mihira seemed nice, after all.
Through the swirling vortex of leathery wings, Lorelei saw a massive dark wyvern leading the flight. That had to be the leader!
"Um... Hi! Hello! Excuse me? Um..."
Lorelei remembered that she really did not know the proper way to address a Wyvern Lord.
