Hyouzou LawGenin | Sunagakure | Genjutsu Class ♥ ♣ ♦ ♠ ♥ ♣ ♦ ♠ ♥ ♣ ♦ ♠ ♥ ♣ ♦ ♠ ♥ ♣ ♦ ♠ ♥ ♣ ♦ ♠ Hyouzou shook his head at Rai's question. "Nah, i ain't from here either. I'm from the West." The boy took a pause as he tried to word his next statement carefully. "I grew up on a pirate ship. I just recently came here, like a few months ago." Hyouzou thought that by his accent, Rai could have guessed that he wasn't from Suna. True, it wasn't that thick, but anyone with a good ear could detect it. It sounded....different. Hyouzou was tempted to tell the Uchiha who his father was, but thought better of it. After all, even though Hyouzou knew Gold Roger for who he truly was, others didn't, and bringing up that infamous name in a conversation was sure to spark something. Something Hyouzou did not want. The boy shrugged. I bet these people haven't even heard of the name.
As he wiped sweat from his brow, the genin stood up. "Damn, its hot." He knew that the sooner they got threw with this busy work, the quicker they would be able to go through with their training. Hyouzou only had his eyes to rely on, and although they were useful, they weren't enough to win a battle. He walked over to the pots slowly. Popping open the lids, two different mixtures were revealed. Hyouzou grinned. "Looks like you were right. One is made of a cement like mixture, and another is made completely of sand. I think that the two pots you have over there are used for the hole, while these are supposed to go towards the balcony rail." Hyouzou took a deep breath and heaved. His muscles, however small they appeared, bulged. True, Hyouzou was tall and skinny, but he was far from weak. That was just how he looked. He walked over to the balcony, albeit slowly. What the hell's in these pots? I bet even Franky would have some trouble lifting them. "So, can you tell me more about this Gobi attack? What the hell's a Gobi anyway?"

[[oh, i forgot to mention, Hyouzou has an accent due to him not being from the shinobi world sweatdrop his voice is laid back and his accent is kinda detectable, but not completely apparent. if it helps, try to imagine a Northern American accent (New York, Philadelphia, etc). if you don't know how that sounds, picture Joey Wheeler rofl ]]

He carried it over, stopping only once this time and then continuing to the Balcony. He made it to the rest of the pots and set it down, sweating bullets from the weight he had just carried.
He took the lids the jars that were by him to take a look inside. As he suspected and from Hyouzou's confirmation, it was indeed sand and cement. "Sand, sand, sand... How I hate you so..." He said to himself looking at the sand. From here he had no idea what to do but he took a guess what had to be done. He figured Hyouzou knew since he Hyouzou was doing well without him anyways. Waiting for Hyouzou to catch up, he only stood and watched.

Takasugi IkariSunagakura|Genin|Genjutsu|Unknowing UchihaTakasugi had made his way up to the balcony right after Kenzo had released him, but he had caught wind of the boys name who was currently Hyouzou...' An Uchiha...such a powerful clan...I can only imagine the power he holds....' Takasugi to drown out those useless thoughts with backbreaking manual labor...something he considered himself very much above, but knowing it was the orders of the Kazekage, he had no choice in the matter and would have to just go along with it. He hauled a few of his own jars over towards a separate area of the balcony, he was determined to work alone at the very least...just lugging his jars into position had him sweating like a hog however...he begrudgingly rubbed the sweat off his forehead as he began to plaster the cement into spots where the balcony needed patching, and then proceeded to pore sand atop it to give the building the nice, stereotypical..sand look that was so common in a village..surrounded by sand. He groaned as he continued on with the mind numbing, back breaking labor poring cement and sand and what seemed to be relentless and brutal pattern. Finally, his body could take no more as it cried for a break, releasing a quick sigh, Takasugi took a seat. As he stopped to rest for a moment, he listened in on Rai's and Hyouzou's conversation with keen interest, he figured Hyouzou was a foreigner merely by his accent, but he never would have guessed Rai came from else where. As Hyouzou mentioned the Gobi, Takasugi scowled and decided to chip into the conversation for once," The Gobi is one of the Nine Tailed beast of ancient myth, said to possess immense power, far beyond that of even the greatest of shinobi...however they were suppose to have been lose or sealed away ages ago according to the books..." Takasugi's scowl widened, he had done his reading and research, after all before he became a shinobi...all he would do was read books all day...he knew the power of the Shinobi and the Villages were on the decline after two prolonged wars...and the timing of the subsequent attack by the Gobi seemed almost too coincidental.. he had seen Haseo's power first hand...and also knew that in the past, the demons had been sealed inside shinobi to contain them..turning their host into extremely powerful shinobi in the process...things began to logically fall into place for Takasugi as he his expression changed to one of shock,' No way...could they have really...' 8/15

"Ugh. Only one more to go." Hyouzou drifted back to the final pot and started lifting. This one, for some reason, felt the heaviest. It was most likely Hyouzou's imagination, however. Still, this one took a few moments longer to carry.
As he set down the gourd with a loud thud, Hyouzou let out a deep breath. Man, it felt good not to have anything heavy in his hands. Rai would take care of the huge gap in the floor, leaving Hyouzou to take care of the railing. He would need to attach the planks of wood to the surrounding balcony, then pour the mixture over it. Eh, doesn't sound so hard. The wood just a few feet away, Hyouzou got to work. By the looks of it, he wouldn't need to hammer the pieces of wood. Instead, all he needed to do was wet each end of the piece with the mixture, and it would stick. Of course, in order to do that, he would need to stand at the very edges of the gap, making sure not to fall. Good thing he was agile. Agile and quick.
Hyouzou noticed when Takasugi appeared, and while he explained what the Gobi was, Hyouzou listened intently. Wow. Tailed Beasts, huh? A thought came to Hyouzou, and before he could stop himself, eh spoke up. "Was that cat thing at the training grounds a tailed beast too?"

(I'm changing Katsuro's class to Weapon Master, I just haven't gotten around to editing the profile yet.) Katsuro Konaga
Weapon Master || Konaga || Genin || Sunagakure ||
Stamina: 55|| Pain Level: 0 || Status: Healthy || "You can always choose your own actions...Katsuro nodded his head politely towards the Kage before taking a seat as he was told, his face a mask of clam despite the chakra raging through his body. As he took his seat Katsuro opened his mouth to respond when the door suddenly opened to reveal the man that had been fighting the flame shrouded shinobi at the training grounds, Havik the Kazekage called him. Glancing at the man's bandaged arm, Katsuro couldn't help but wonder how the pain of Havik's burn compared to his own, if the flames which had licked at his flesh was as crippling as the chakra raging within his own body. And as if to assure him that it could not be so, a sudden, searing wave of pain washed through his own arms, as if his chakra were responding to his thoughts. Had he not grown so accustomed to the pain, Katsuro would have surely cried out in anguish, but instead he simply let out a grunt as he grimaced through it.
As the wave of pain finally returned to the usual dull ache he was used to, Katsuro took a breath before opening his mouth to continue where he had been about to begin, when again he was interrupted by a new arrival. This one he did not recognize, but the look of apprehension was plain on the young man's face. Before the boy could even sit down though, yet again the door was opened to allow the entrance of another, the flame shrouded shinobi from before. Rising out of his chair immediately, Katsuro placed one hand on the hilt of his blade before he noticed the shinobi's head-band, and from the looks the Kage and Havik were giving him, clearly he was not to be treated as an enemy.
Taking his hand off of his weapon, Katsuro still didn't take his eyes off of the young shinobi, Haseo the Kage called him, nor did he return to his seat. It's not that he didn't trust his fellow shinobi, but to not remain cautious in the presence of someone you had only just seen going insane and brutally attacking another comrade would be foolish at best. After a moment of silence, Katsuro turned to the Kage only to realize that he was waiting on his response. "Pardon me, I have an affinity for both Raiton and Katon chakra, and I focus on the use of weapons in combat."... but you rarely get to choose the consequences."

"So that's what a Gobi is. Interesting. I'll shall have to do some more research on it later... Or not." Rai said nonchalantly getting back to the task at hand. He looked at the gap and sighed. Taking one of the large pots, he took the top off and walked it over to the hole. Pouring the cement into the whole, he set the jar on the ground on it's side, holding it. "This will make it easier, huh, Hyouzou?" He said with a smirk on his face. The cement at the top dripped out and then Rai moved to tip the jar from behind, being careful as to not let it slip. The hole filled up nicely and it was quick and easy.
Rai set the Jar back down and walked towards the handle. He grabbed and lifted the lighter Jar now and put it back up right. "Alright that's done. Now what?" He said with a small sigh. That job was not as tiring as he had thought. He had used his brain instead of his brawn to fill the hole. His strength was saved for the training there was to come. This balcony was just an odd job of manual labor.
Rai leaned back against the wall seeing it was Hyouzou's turn to fix the balcony. They were working together quite well, and he didn't mind giving the easier job to Hyouzou, though this one was to be more challenging. He had to make sure Hyouzou did not fall of the balcony.

The cement mixture started drying nicely, and as Rai topped it all with sand, Hyouzou could tell that it would be complete in a few minutes. Pretty cool, Sunagakure engineering. The whole thing was almost fixed, saved for the balcony railing, and that was only gonna take a few minutes. The genin grinned. "Now, i pour this mixture onto the balcony, and we wait until its dry."
The pirate grabbed the gourd that was sitting a few feet from him and heaved. The weight weighed down on his upper body, but after a second, he gained control. His footsteps were slow, his eyes looking down often, as to not allow himself fall. He wanted to stay as clear away from the newly fixed hole as much as possible, so he would need to watch his step.
As he neared the railing - only a few inches away now - Hyouzou tipped the gourd on its side slightly. He didn't want to spill any, but he wanted to make sure that each plank of wood got enough. Hyouzou was very picky about doing something, but once he did decide to do it, he had always done it right. Sort of a perfectionist, Hyouzou was. The liquid exuded out at a crawl's pace, and as Hyouzou waited impatiently for the whole thing to spread and, eventually, dry, he looked back at Rai. "So, have you met the others yet? Have any idea on who you want in your squad?:

He didn't want to accidentally knock him off the broken balcony but he needed to be close enough to grab him just in case he slipped. He concentrated carefully on this one, following him as he moved. He noticed that he was holding the gourd. It was soon again, that the small talk would continue. Something Rai was not use to. He often like to be alone but the company was certainly better than being by himself all of the time.
"Nope. So far I have only met you. So I have no idea what squad I'm gonna be in. Me and my mother came here about a year or two ago. I didn't really meet anyone during that time, I kind of just kept to myself..." He said seeing as the job was already done. His voice held no sadness nor happiness. It was in between as if he was indecisive. "Looks great." Rai commented on the neat job Hyouzou did with the liquid. The balcony was starting to come to itself and it was beginning to look better than when they first started. "You're not as lazy as you look." Rai added jokingly, as it was the first thing he noticed about Hyouzou. This was to stir away from his indecisiveness.

Namaewa jerked out of the strange lassitude that had fallen over him for some reason that he couldn't understand. It seemed that the group he was in had already started working on repairing the balcony, and he hurried out to see what was going on and how much work remained to be done. He saw that they had fixed the hole in the floor and that they were currently pouring something across the wooden planks that had been used. He nodded to Law, the one that he recognized from before, then looked at what needed to be done still. The only thing that looked like it still needed to be fixed was the balcony railing itself. The medic blinked a few times and looked around for the posts that they would need for the task, and spotted them leaning against one of the inner walls. He picked one of the posts up and twirled it around in his hand, noting that it weighed a substantial bit less than his staff did. With a shrug he set his staff aside and picked up another of the posts and headed over to the rail, slipping past the teen he didn't recognize. Namaewa looked at the railing that was still in place and judged how far apart the posts would have to be. then he upended one and planted it on the ground in the spot that he had estimated it would occupy, then moved over a short distance and did teh same with the next. He repeated this short trip, between the broken balcony and the spot where the posts were, a few times, until he had enough posts down to fill the gap. Then he frowned - they needed either some kind of high-strength adhesive, or bolts, to go through the posts and down into the deck in order to secure them in place. He turned to the other two Genin and tilted his head to one side. "I apologize for my tardiness Law-san. Do you know where the securings, be they adhesive or bolts, are? And sir, my name is Wangetsu Namaewa." This last bit was said to the figure that he did not recognize, who seemed to be at ease and joking with Law. He wished he was more familiar with the pair, being uptight was wearing on his nerves but he simply didn't know them well enough to become more relaxed.

Hyouzou chuckled at Rai's comment, the Uchiha bringing out a laugh from the pirate. "Tell that to the Kazekage," he said with a grin. This Rai kid....he wasn't that bad. Although his overall demeanor seemed a bit distant, he was actually a pretty cool guy. Just as Hyouzou was about to say something else, Namaewa finally showed up. The genin's grin grew wider. "Well, its about time you came, but i'm afraid you're too late. The balcony's just about finished. We just need to take care of the railing. Since you blessed us with your presence, i don't think you would mind blessing us once again by fixing teh railing?....by yourself?" Hyouzou let out a laugh to let Namaewa know he was joking. Never could be too careful with these shinobi. "Oh, and this mixture is the 'adhesive'. You don't have to speak with large words, you know." Hyouzou gladly set down the pot on the ground. He had finished the balcony, which meant that they only needed to fix the railing. Namaewa, due to his tardiness, would handle that.
Hyouzou nodded towards the pot on the ground. "Take that and use it to fill the gap. It takes a moment to dry, and the gourd is pretty heavy, but its pretty sturdy. It should work well enough." The day had been a hard working one, and although the group of genin had only spent a few minutes fixing the gap - half an hour at most - it seemed like it had been eternity since they had gotten a rest, at least to Hyouzou. He took a seat gladly, letting out a sigh as he hit the floor, and after checking to make sure his nodachi was at his side, he put his arms behind his head in a casual manner. "The Kazekage's probably busy with the oncoming genin, so we should probably stay up here a while." Hyouzou looked to Rai, then at Namaewa, then finally at Takasugi. His eyes settled upon Rai once again. He seemed the least laziest of the group. "Why don't you tell one of the jounin out in the hall that we are finished? He probably has something else for us to do." Hyouzou's tone, his words, his voice: nothing about him held the commanding type. In fact, the comment seemed more as a casual statement, a matter-of-fact sentence, a few common knowledge words, not an order. Hyouzou could never pull off the bosy type. Still, hopefully Rai would comply, for God knew, as well as Hyouzou, that the pirate did not want to get up. In fact, he was not going to get up for a while.

Namaewa shrugged slightly at Law's words. He hoisted up the gourd, staggering slightly under its weight, and tilted it so he could see the mixture inside. He nodded at it - the inside seemed to be coated in a glaze to keep it from sticking. He stepped over to the rail, or rather, where the rail should be, and where he had put the posts to replace it. The medical shinobi grunted in irritation he had some muscles because of his training with the staff, but he was not meant to be muscletank, so carrying this thing was going to be a hassle. The silver haired shinobi picked the post up with one hand and moved it out of the way, and then brought the gourd of adhesive over. He poured a dollop down into place and then moved the post back into place, pushing it down firmly to make sure it bonded with the adhesive and the balcony. He waited a few moments and tugged on it, to make sure that it wouldn't be moving easily. Then he moved over a few steps and repeated the process with the next post. It was a tedious process, getting these damn things into place. But since he had missed fixing the floor he didn't have a problem doing it himself, Law and this other guy had already done a fair bit without him around. He kept this up, moving slowly along the length of the gap in the railing as he moved the posts out of the way, poured adhesive down, and then put the posts back in place and secured them. When he had finished all of the posts, he set the gourd down and looked around for a moment. He nodded sharply when he finally spotted what he was searching for - the railing that sat on top of the posts. It was just inside of the doors to the balcony, leaning against the wall. He stepped inside and picked it up with one hand, noting that it was nearly as heavy as the gourd was. Namaewa carried it out, lifting it up high enough to go over Law and the other Genin's head as he headed to the edge of the balcony. One end of the railing was set on the ground and he propped the other edge up on the railing that was still in place on the edge of the balcony. Then he hoisted the gourd up and began pouring it along the segment of replacement railing, so that the underside of it was coated in the mixture. That finished, he set the gourd over to one side and carefully picked the replacement section up, then turned it over and set it in place with the adhesive-coated facing down to secure it in place on top of the posts. The Genin turned around and hopped up so that he was sitting on top of the replacement rail, using his weight to press the rail down to make sure the bonding of the adhesive took.
