Inibi didn't seem to know what the sound was, so Wikus thought that it may buy time, and introduce her to the childhood summer's reviver that was the ice cream truck, and maybe even ice cream. He didn't know if she knew of it or not. Even if Wikus had to fight his fear of an ambush and the heat. "Um..would you like to see what is making that noise?"

Her ears feel back and she looked back over to him. "It's not....dangerous is it?" she asked, fear in her eyes and her markings white. She had heard it a few times before, and always ran when it came. Anything that sounded that jolly had to have some kind of trickery to it.

Wikus bit back a laugh, and chewed a lip so his expression wouldn't change a smile. "Nope. Of all things, the sound of an ice cream truck is a least dangerous one." He looked towards the door where the sound was coming from.
"And if it was, I would protect you." Tall words from a man on the run with no weapons. "But it isn't; I used to run towards the sound as a child. Most did. It hasn't changed much since then... Would you like to see?"

She looked back to where the merry jingle was sounding from rubbing her paws together. She did like ice cream, but she was still very uncertain.
"You go first." she said as she slinked behind him, tailed curled around her protectively

"Okay." And thus Wikus did. Time to be a man! He padded to the door, and after a discreet peek out the window, opened said door, stepped out, and held it open for Inibi.
The truck was coming up to the shop, almost at a crawl so then the kiddies would get to it in time. It was white with pictures of various kinds of ice cream and prices around the small window on the side. Basically, it was a look of awesomeness or hiding pure evil.

She followed behind him, delicately swishing her tail from it's protective position and occasionally looking over his shoulder, but other wise, used his tail to hide.
When they stepped outside she saw the ice cream truck and immediately began to have her doubts on it's goodness. If there was anything that couldn't be anymore deceiving, it was that vehicle. All colorful and attracting to little children..just despicable to her

"Now we have to catch it." Wikus said as he let the door go. The jingling came closer and closer, slowly, slowly...
Until...
Wikus stepped towards the box-like truck, one foot at a time. Did he have money? Yes, there was still some. He hid his arm and waved the vehicle to a stop. The halfbreed scanned the area for anything that could pop out and take him before looking back at Inibi and saying, "Come on." with a gentle smile.

She gave a hard glare to the ice cream truck before she was being shown to the truck. Still very untrustworthy of the vehicle, she flattened her ears and watched the every move that it made, but she still followed him and tried to appear remotely social...even if she didn't want to

As they approached, Wikus pulled out the meager amount of money he had, and asked "Which ice cream do you want?" to Inibi.
It was uncertain if the ice cream man would except foreign currency, though it was questionable of what currency would be accepted in this place.

She looked at his paw, watching him pull out some strange items, then looked at him walking up to his side. "What do you mean? There's more than one kind?" she wasn't oblivious to ice cream...but she was only aware of the classical vanilla cone. The idea of other flavors or kinds was a bit mystifying to her

"Oh, yes, definately." Was she joking? "You see those pictures around that window? Those are all the kinds they have here. But that is not every kind in the world. What kind do you know of?

She looked at the pictures he pointed to, thinking they were decoration, not the menu. she then looked back to him, and once again back to the list, not really understanding what she was looking at half the time. "I only know of something called Vanilla" she said quietly, trying to figure out what all the ice cream flavors were just based on their picture, with no luck

"That's a classic one, eh? Well, there's also chocolate, mint... and strawberry... And lots of other flavors and combinations. Like that," he pointed to a picture "is a vanilla on a stick with chocolate coating, and that," he pointed to another, "is like the other, but with a cone and nuts on the chocolate." Wikus noticed life in the truck. "You could ask the ice cream man about flavors. He might show you."

She tried to follow everything he was pointing to. She understood what chocolate was, but everything else he was talking about was gibberish. "uuuuhhhh..ok." she said as he finished off at the cone with nuts.
"Do I have to?"

"Oh, well, you don't have to. If you do not want to..." Wikus scratched the back of his head. "Ehm...vanilla, then?" He had no clue as of what to do anymore.
