I have mixed feelings about voting first day but mostly I think it is a good idea. If we don't vote at all then the Mafia has a definite advantage, as opposed to if we vote and chance hitting a townie then they could possibly have an advantage. Though if we lynch a townie then the Mafia has twice the advantage. But I don't really see what makes the first day any different from the rest, there is always a chance we will lynch a townie.

The reason it's worse on Day 1 is that it's hard to get a bead on anyone at all. Mafia is like playing poker. You do your best to make sure your cards are good, and make educated guesses about everyone else's hand. On day one, it's like dragging someone in, blindfolded, making them play a game of poker with rulesets they've never learned. Sure, there's a CHANCE they could win, but more than liekly, you're gonna take a hit. We only have NINE players. Do you really want to lose 2 on the first day? XD

How is it lose-lose? What if we hit a Mafia?
You and Allegro's staunch support of no vote is making me suspicious.
Edit: I guess ya'll aren't the only ones. I see Haru no voted as well.
