User ImageIt's hiding in the dark, it's teeth are razor sharp,

Sho continued to tow along his unresisting room mate down various hallways, most of which he wasn't even keeping track of because he was still pissed off enough he was moving on instinct. So when the dark haired boy suddenly jerked downwards and dead weighted him he gave a grunt of surprise and jerked back by the arm connecting them. He'd nearly lost his damn balance from the action. His hand was jerked free by the boy who struggled against him and then curled up in a rather pathetic ball against the wall in the middle of an abandoned corridor.

"s**t."The pale haired male growled, darting a glance both directions before the ice melted somewhat in his gaze at finding that the blonde guy hadn't followed them anywhere. When a desperately sad and pathetic sound slipped from the red eyed male curled around himself it vanished completely, leaving behind soft blue orbs as Sho dropped down to his knees next to him.

"It's okay, your safe. I got ya. I promise, your safe okay?"it would have been nearly impossible to connect the tone from the silver-haired male before and the one that reached out and brushed midnight dark hair off a still pale forehead. His other hand rubbed at the kid's arm, while something that might have been worry darkened the azure orbs. This was a form of Sho that was very rarely seen, but it had been pulled up by the terror present in the other boy's body language. Shifting he pulled him closer to his warmth, tucking his head under his chin thanks to their height difference and the way they were sitting or kneeling. His hand continued to caress in a soothing pattern as he whispered assurances. He still was withholding judgment on whether he could stand the kid or not...but something about his fear drew out of the pale colored boy an instinct to protect.

He woke long before actually moving. There was a trick to it, being able to bring yourself out of consciousness before starting to stir. He couldn’t always manage it, but when he did it was damned useful. If someone thought you were asleep two things happened. First, they left you the hell alone and second, they didn’t mind speaking in front of you to other. He woke shortly after his newest roommate came in, Jack’s breathing never wavering from its steady rhythm. He didn’t see the boy, but good god it was happy. It was all he could do to keep the smirk off his face, especially when it pestered the artist. It seemed he’d been right about Kaito’s reaction to the Disney styled introductions. If he hadn’t been so tired he probably would have gotten up then, but he’d fallen asleep because he truly was exhausted and midway through their one-sided conversation he drifted back into sleep.

Eventually his body decided it was hungry and he did stir, rolling onto his stomach and lifting his chin so it was resting on the pillow, eyes staring hazily at the backboard of his bed. Ugh, napping in one’s clothes never felt pleasant once you woke up. He rolled one shoulder back, rubbing his neck to coax out the kinks, and pushed himself into a seated position.

The first thing he did was examine his new roommate. Passable. At least the on the beds at either side of him would be fun to look at, if nothing else. And Kaito had already proven fun to play with, at least in the short term. All in all, it wasn’t terrible. His lips moved silently as he studied him. “Happy,” he murmured absently. Turning his head to Kaito, there was another pause before he said. “You can be Doc.” His stomach growled and he groaned, digging under the bed for his shoes.

                                “Food, Doc?”

"Better to keep your mouth closed and be thought a fool, than to open it and remove all doubt."

Slowly, Akira began to come back to himself, and little by little, became more aware of his surroundings. After a few moments, he realized someone was with him, talking to him. A few more seconds passed, and the raven-haired boy felt someone holding him. He froze up again for a second, before remembering that no one had held him like that since his father. It wasn't him.
Another 30 seconds went by, and Akira shifted his gaze a bit to see the face of whoever was holding him. Another shock hit him as he realized that the one holding him, murmuring calming words to him, was his pale-haired roommate. For the first time since they had met, the boy's blue eye's held no annoyance, or anger. He wasn't intimidating almost to the point of being frightening. He wasn't glaring or grimacing. He was just sitting there with Akira.
The crimson-gazed boy was no longer petrified, but he was still not quite used to being so close to another person again. But he did not want to break the sudden peace between them, so he simply continued to stare into his roommate's face.

Stuck somewhere between a true doze and merely closing his eyes, Kaito left the rest of the room and the world in general take care of itself while he absorbed the moment. He quickly decided he'd have to learn some way to filter out the blonde's chatter because it was unlikely it every actually stopped for any length of time. Still, it was a challenge he was willing to rise to for at least this year. Who would have thought he might actually miss the previous tenants he'd attended school with.

Slowly he lifted his lids enough to stare though slits of slate blue at the movement of the trees on the leaves. Watching them catch the light at different angles as the wind played with them as easily as it did his own soft hair. Suddenly the bed next to him spoke up, or more accurately the red-head who'd been sleeping in it until then. His spouted out a word inanely, which drew Kaito's attention enough that artist rolled his head against the wall to look over at the middle bed in time to meet the red-head's gaze and realize that he was being dubbed and then asked about dinner. A faint frown pulled at his otherwise expressionless lips.

"I suppose, Attenborough."Kaito drawled, making reference to the way Jack had first spoken. The famous naturalist's, David Attenborough, voice what people first thought of when they watched wildlife shows, and it was too ironic to pass up though he made no bets that the red-head would know what he was speaking about. Not that he could see how 'Doc' fit him, but understanding might mean understanding Jack and that was something no sane human being would likely do. Shrugging slightly the blue haired male flipped his notebook completely shut and tucked it into his school bag before putting away his pencil and rising from the bed.

He slipped into his shoes with a bare minimum of movement, paying no further attention to his two room mates despite the fact one of them was the reason why he was moving. Without waiting for the other male Kaito walked passed the beds and for the door. He could make it to the cafeteria alone and likely escape any further conversations, if either of the other boys caught up to him his usual stony silences were enough to send them on their way...at least until these two had stepped into the room. It seemed he had managed to collect the only two people in the world who didn't respond to his ignoring them. He raked a hand through his slate blue hair with a short sigh at how long the school year was going to be. Flickering a gaze towards the red-head he amended his thought slightly, it would be long...but perhaps slightly interesting all the same.

The shaking slowly stopped, leading eventually to a moment of utter stillness that had the pale haired male's arms loosening slightly as if he was expecting a reaction or two from the dark haired boy who continued to hold still. Arching an eyebrow he relaxed just slightly until a pair of red-eyes lifted and hit his own. For some reason he felt a blush spread across his cheeks. It took a second to realize that neither of them had moved and Sho quickly stood back up and stepped away with a slight cough. Well wasn't that f**king spectacular? A hand reached up and shoved his pale strands back from his face as he shoved his other hand into the front pocket and stared out the window because it was conveniently NOT near the boy who'd just caught him being rather nice. Who would have thought his being a damn mute would be a good thing? Like hell he wanted to have people treating him like he was actually a good guy. There was no damn way he'd fall THAT low.

"Dammit. I still haven't found a damn computer."Sho growled, shoving his other hand into the spare pocket and hunching his shoulders slightly. F**k, this wasn't awkward or anything...

"We'll keep looking...down there."jerking his chin in the direction opposite of the blonde a*****e that had started all this Sho started stalking off, leaving the other boy to pull himself together and stand up. His embarrassment sparking against his temper in a volatile manner that was not likely very good for his continued good behaviour.

He raised an eyebrow but decided to accept his new temporary title. He had no idea who Attenborough was but figured it was probably something mildly annoying. What good were nicknames if they weren’t mildly annoying? But then if Jack didn’t know who the guy was, it was likely not many people did. At least, not many people that weren’t statue impersonating artists who never spoke unless they were spoken to. A chuckle escaped his lips. He tugged his shoes on, bent so his back was to Kaito as he spoke. “Never speak unless spoken to,” he mused aloud, knowing the other could hear him and not bothering to explain the thoughts that had preceded the statement. If Kaito was remotely intelligent, he would know what Jack meant. “Isn’t that what they tell obedient children? I suppose I should be flattered that Doc respects me so much he reverts to a child’s manners for their superiors.”

He hummed happily under his breath as he stood up, the tune more than a little off-key. Pitch was not the redheads strong suit. Attempts at singing could peel paint and when he whistled dogs started howling. But his musical ear was bad enough that it never actually bothered Jack himself. If either of his roommates were remotely musically inclined, it could constitute torture.

He was content to let Kaito lead them out, walking as he usually did, a few paces behind and to the side. It wasn’t hard to keep up with Kaito without actually catching up to him. He studied the back of the dark blue head and let the silence pass for a little while longer. Just long enough to give the other boy hope that Jack had decided to stop bothering him. The smirk resting on his lips out of Kaito’s sight said otherwise. But he didn’t want to piss off his guide just yet. Not until he lead him to the cafeteria.

The weight of the small rectangular box in his pocket seemed to nudge against his leg. A free hand disappeared into the opposite pocket and withdrew a small lighter. He flicked it open and shut with a few impatient clicking sounds. Food first. Then he could find some building to stand behind to look suitably cliché as he smoked.

The blue haired artist arched an eyebrow but didn't turn to look at the red-head who'd followed him out of the door with a caustic comment about reverting back to childhood antics to show his respect for him. A faint lift of his lips gave a softer light to the cold blue orbs as he continued walking down the hallways.

"And here I believed it was to be seen and not heard, how gracious of you to allow me to at least respond, Attenborough. Now what is it they say about servants staying two steps behind and to the side of their master?"Kaito drawled just amused enough not to take offense at the comment because it was beyond ridiculous to think that the red-head was somehow his superior. The man's ego was entertainment all in of itself. He'd added his own barb before his mind had really decided to do so but there was no way to recall the uncharacteristic addition. Shrugging it off he let the silence stretch between them, quite content that the unusual male had finally taken a hint and refrained from further conversations. Then again students were huddled in groups all around them making enough noise for the both of them.

Having been here long enough to have taken a look at a map, Kaito was confident in his decisions as he turned down one corridor and into another. There were still plenty of activity to suggest they were in a well used section and just the faintest hint of smell in the air. Tipping his head slightly, the artist narrowed his slate blue orbs as he tried to guess at what he was smelling, just before a click broke his concentration.

Turning his head he glanced out of the corner of his eye at the male behind him who had pulled out a lighter that was the source of the noise, how he could put intonation into a metallic click Kaito did not know. Arching an eyebrow he shook his head faintly and turned to face forward once more as he navigated to the cafeteria by combination of smell and the mental map he had memorized.

"Better to keep your mouth closed and be thought a fool, than to open it and remove all doubt."

Akira continued to stare as the other boy caught his eye, and simply looked for about a split second. When that second ended, the lighter-haired guy's cheeks suddenly reddened a bit, and he jumped back before quickly standing up. But suddenly, the quiet boy wasn't fooled by the angry, aloof facade his companion slipped back into. The blue-eyed teen muttered something about a computer again, and began to stomp away. Akira rose slowly. It still had not occurred to him to consider the boy a friend (that kind of thought had not crossed his mind about anyone in nearly six years), but somehow, he no longer felt intimidated by him. After a moment, he began to follow his roommate again, absently wondering about the taller boy's name. But Akira never even thought to do anything the easy way, and didn't bother to ask. After another minute of the two boys walking in silence, the sound of a pencil scratching something out on paper could be heard once more (he almost always carried a spare pencil with him, and the dark haired boy had found a scrap of used paper crumpled up in his jacket pocket).
He then quickened his step a bit to catch up more with his roommate, and show him the slip of paper.
Upon it was the only word he could think of to write.
'Sorry'

This time Sho passed several rooms without bothering to open the doors and look inside. It very well could be he had missed the computer lab in doing so but he was currently having a moment being busy yelling at himself. Damn, the kid wasn't that cute...I mean okay he was, but for hell's sake he was a damn doormat from hell! He didn't even usually LIKE dark hair! It was that a*****e blonde's fault, the whole damn thing. He wasn't sure who the hell that guy was but he was trouble.

His eyes hardened as he thought about the smile the man had been wearing when he'd touched him and he felt his lip curl in disgust. Damn, he KNEW he hated this f**king place for a reason! A low pitched growl rumbled in his throat before the sound of pencil came from behind him seconds before he had a piece of scape paper shoved at him. He looked over the words and shot a flat glare at the red-eyed boy who'd written it.

"Don't f**king apologize. What the hell is wrong with you, geesh. And where the hell did you find this? I'm telling you, Doormat, your getting a writing slate strapped to your neck."The pale haired male snapped before shoving the paper back at the kid, having unconsciously slowed his walk so they were at the same level. He shoved his hands into his pocket once more and glared off down the hallway.

"So who the hell was that?"Sho asked in a flatter tone of voice, wondering who the hell he'd pissed off so he knew which direction to watch his back from. One of the f**king teacher's knowing his luck. Well that was one damn way of getting out of the school.

Kyle got thrown out of a car and his bags soon after "thanks for that Kid. Heres the money" A old man smirked as he threw money on Kyle. He got up when the man drived away, picked up the money then placed it his pocket. Then walked upto the school, he held his bag close. His hair was in front of his face. He got dropped off by one of his clients. He had a bust lip, bruise on his cheek and a couple of love bites on his neck. Kyle was used to it, If it would help his mom and siblings with the bills he would happily do that, and come to this school was his own idea.
He opened the door and looked around from behind his hair.
"Soon i wont have to do this.... we will have enough money so the house wont be taken away...." Kyle thought with a sigh .

He went to find his dorm after he got his dorm key out. "I wonder where it might be"

"Better to keep your mouth closed and be thought a fool, than to open it and remove all doubt."

Akira wasn't very surprised at his roommate's reaction to his 'apology' (which was actually just his awkward, inept way of saying thanks). He simply continued to watch him, now slightly more interested in 'reading' him. The dark haired boy's stomach turned over at his companion's half-growled question, as Ryou's face assaulted his mind once again. Akira shook his head to expel the hated face, and he wondered how he should answer. After a moment, he simply scrawled something else under his previous 'apology'.
'My cousin'
And a moment later, after trying to keep his mind on other things, and suddenly realizing that he was actually getting a bit sick of being called 'Doormat', or 'Dickhead', he turned the paper over and wrote something else.
'My name is Akira'

He found his dorm and went inside leaving the door open. "Looks like I have a roommate...great..." he sighed. "Looks like i will have to make an excuse when i leave at night..." Kyle sighed once more as he put his things on the free bed.
He looked around the dorm and placed his hands in his pockets "well it looks alright, atleast its a bed to myself....i do miss my little sister and bro..." Kyle said looking sad.
Kyle went into the bath room and threw water onto his face "s**t...that old git has beat my face up....good thing the swellings wont last..." he mumbled to himself as he washed his face, The blood from his bust lip went downt the drain. "How did this happen again...oh yeh...no one was hireing a part timer and i went down the wrong streets..." Kyle said to himself as as he grabbed a towel to dry his face.

After kissing his mother's picture, Dion had fallen into a daydream. He dreamed about going with his mother to the amusement park when he was younger. She held onto a silhouette's hand and smiled happily as Dion skipped along ahead of them. He turned around to face his mother and the silhouette, continuing to skip backwards. When his mother called out his name, he returned to the real world.

When his eyes refocused, Dion realized that both of his roommates had gone. He was astonished and stood up quickly and stepped outside of the door. There were two ways he could take, but which one he should choose, he didn't know. Dion was slightly disappointed that he never actually got to introduce himself to his red-headed roommate.

He heaved a sigh and then took a right and made his way down the hall. Where could they have gone? As he made his way through the hallways, he spotted a blonde much older than himself. Probably even older than his two roommates. He was just watching all the other students pass by. Dion thought he might be bored, and forgetting the reason why he was wandering the halls, made his way towards him. He sat down right next to him and immediately introduced himself. "Hi! My name is Dion." He introduced. "You look kinda old to be a student. Are you a teacher here?" He asked with his widest smile.

Ryou continued to sit, flashing his winning smile at anyone who bother to meet his eye as they passed him by. A few minutes later, a boy with blonde hair similar to his own (except messier) greeted him with a smile. This kid had chocolate brown eyes, and looked to be about Akira's age, maybe younger. He had a slightly dreamy, innocent look about him.
Ryou grinned at the boy.
"Hello there, Dion-kun. I'm not a student, but I'm not really a teacher either. I'm a teacher's aide."
Keeping his almost too-friendly grin, the older blonde continued to speak.
"What grade are you in? I'm not too sure which teacher I'm going to be assisting yet."

((Yay, Sei-chan's back! Sorry, I doubt I'll be posting as Akira again until I'm done setting up the guild, but that should be fairly soon ^_^ ))

When the older boy turned and smiled and welcomed Dion, Dion smiled bigger. He was glad he didn't get a negative response and gave a small laugh to help release some of his excitement. "Your a teacher's aide? That's pretty cool. That means you help out the teachers and stuff right?" Dion started to kick his legs back and forth and looked up.

"I'm in eighth grade. I have to start it over." He thought about how soon he had met someone who seemed to be an ideal friend. He wasn't a roommate of his, but that was okay. He'd try his hardest to bring the artist around and possibly even make friends with the red-head. "Oh!" Dion suddenly said, remembering why he'd been wandering the halls earlier. Instead of telling the other blonde that he was looking for his roommates, he said."I never got your name." He turned back to face the older boy.

[[ooc: Ack! I dislike writers block.]]

Ryou already liked this boy. Dion laughed a bit nervously, and the older blonde's face never changed to betray his somehow less-than-innocent thoughts.
So he is younger than Akira... he's kind of a cute kid...
He nodded at the student's first question, then opened his mouth to give his name.
"I'm Ryou Takuma. 8th grade huh? I've have a younger cousin who goes to this school, I believe he's in 10th grade now. Perhaps you know him, his name is Akira?"

Ryou Takuma. That was a cool name. A name he could get used to saying. Ryou. Ryou. Ryou. Dion imagined meeting up with him everyday and saying "Hey, Ryou." and then hanging out. Dion gave an excited shout of laughter which brought him out of his daydreaming. He giggled a little bit more before turning back to Ryou.

"Sorry about that. Sometimes I just go into my own little world and forget about everything that's around me. Akira?" Dion thought about it. His other roommate could have been Akira, but he never got his other roommates name. "What does he look like?"

Ryou's grin widened, if that was possible. So this Dion was a bit flighty too...
"No problem, we all get like that sometimes, ne?"
The taller blonde folded his arms in a friendly (inviting) manner, and responded to the brown-eyed young man's question.
"Well he has slightly overgrown, black hair, he's very pale, has eyes like mine," Ryou paused for a second, chuckling slightly, "...and he's very quiet..."
