Nina closed her eyes to concentrate, and the two bags flew off at a brisk pace. Steering her cushion of winds was like trying to weave together several hundred strings of cotton candy, each with its own disposition and stickiness- in midair. Somehow she managed, and as soon as things were under control she opened her eyes. They were progressing smoothly towards the castle walls and the town and forest beyond. "You're always in trouble, Kiara. And who would you have said goodbye to anyway? Your mother?" Nina had seen a flash of twins and a familiar high-heeled figure behind them in the door, but she decided not to say anything to Kiara yet.

Just as the door flew open, the queen could see her daughter disappearing over the windowsill and a flash of something going by.Is she trying to kill herself?, Anora wondered. But her question was soon answered- she ran to the window only to see a distinct lack of body on the stones below. Some sort of flying thing was zipping towards the walls of the castle, and when she shaded her eyes she could see two figures aboard it. That wind witch was stronger than I thought. "Girls, do run down to the walls and see if you can stop them won't you. Or at least," she added with malicious pleasure, "make them crash." She began yelling for the guards.

Kiara giggled, and smiled as they rode to the walls of the castle. "I'm finaly going to have my first taste of freedom. "

The twins ran down to the walls, and waited for Kirara, and Nina to come by. They concentrated, and tired to slow them down.

As they neared the castle walls Nina could feel something trying to slow them down. It wasn't a buffer to her winds, but rather a large invisible sticky wall, extending in every direction. She closed her eyes and tried to call up more winds, building up speed until she could barely steer even with her eyes closed. But they slowed to a crawl. "Kiara, someone's interfering with my magic. See if you can spot anyone on the walls," she said with gritted teeth. Normally she would have just scanned them with a light breeze but she needed all the winds she could use.

The guard captain arrived and Anora exclaimed," Thank goodness! I was so worried! You see, that wind witch servant of hers appears to have kidnapped my daughter. She was sweeping poor little Kiara off towards the walls when I last saw them. I think she wants to prevent an alliance through marriage. Oh, will you please send some guards down to the walls to try to stop them?" Both of them knew she was lying through her teeth, but this way any rumors that Kiara had wanted to escape could be denounced as treason. Anora quickly went back to her study to mobilize the army and citizenry to also search for the girls, draft up an arrest warrant for Nina, and various other preparations in case the two tried another escape attempt. She was fully confident that the twins could stop this one, but she didn't want them caught off guard. Then she tripped downstairs to explain the situation to the ambassador.

" It's those stupid physic wenches that my mother loves so much!" She jumped down, and ran at the wall. " I can take them Nina! Just get over the wall! " She jumped up, and landed on one of the twins. She managed to hit the other.

As Kiara battled the twins, Nina felt the wall decrease in strength until she had to suck power off the winds to stay stable. She opened her eyes and took a deep breath, as she hovered just beyond the wall, waiting for Kiara. "C'mon! We're losing distance and they can still block me, we have to get out of range fast!" she shouted over the wind. She could see a large group of guards headed towards the fightand prepared to sprint away as soon as the Princess was on board.
