"Harmony coils are rupturing!" cited Kai. "Target lost!" Dari heard Vladmir's voice echo in her head, but could not react. Her glossy eyes searched for him in the dense fog. "visibility reduced, the Master's battle trance is fluctuating. Kai, keep her under control!" shouted Sai "I can't, the Harmony Coils are interfering with her trance!" she replied. "Who...are....you...?" Dari thought weakly.

"Oh...." Vladmir mocked. "You dont remember me do you? Tsk Tsk Tsk. Thats no good. I remember you all to well, and what you did to my family..." Vladmir rushed past Dari under cover of fog and cut her on the shoulder with his scythe. "Ooohh.....that may sting a little bit Princess. Maybe you should have your two little pixies help you out. Hello again Sai. Hello again Kai." Vladmir grinned evilly in the fog.

"Master damaged, target still unaquired!" said Sai. "The Coils can't take much more of this, suggest emergency purge!" warned Kai. Dari felt the pain of the wound on her shoulder, and at the moment she remembered. Her eyes deglazed and returned to normal. "Master's trance has broken!" Dari shook her head. "i only did what you have done to my land for ages!" she shouted back. "Dari, purge NOW!" commanded Kai.

Vladmir appeared behind Dari, his scythe blade resting on her juggular. "YOU CALL ENSLAVING MY PEOPLE AND THEN SENSELESSLY MURDERING THEM WHAT WE DID TO YOU??!?!?!?! THAT MAY HAVE BEEN TRUE FOR OTHER VAHNA AMASCALA BUT FOR US KAISHUNS-WHO HAD ONLY EVER SUPPORTED SKY VALE-WHAT YOU DID WAS UNNACCEPTABLE!!! I AM THE LAST OF MY KIND BECAUSE OF YOU! YOU DESERVE TO DIE!!!!" Vladmir roared in a different voice. It sounded as if the very devil had possessed him and had spoken the words- for it made the spine tingle as if ice had frozen on your back and made your insides tighten with fear. The very bloodlust in his voice was terrifying, his eyes now blood red and pupiless

"PURGE!" shouted Kai. Dari concentrated and ejected the coils, plunging into Vladmir's body and surging with holy light. "I was only following orders!!" she exclaimed. "Harmonic Meltdown eminent!" cited Sai. "Evacuate or Die, Kaishun!"

Vladmir flew backwards from the force of the ejected coils. His breath gone, he toppled backwards into a tree. After a half a second, he shot high into the sky, just out of reach of the coil's detonation. "Then answer me this Dari, Princess of Sky Vale, how does it feel to know that your family is dead?" He laughed and tossed the crown of the King of Sky Vale to the ground, directly in front of where Dari stood. Vladmir's fangs glistened in the sunlight- his victim's blood mixed with his own.

Dari's eye's widened in shock and disbelief. she fell to her knees and carefully picked up the blood-stained crown. "Father... no.." she said in a trembling voice. "That demon, how dare he!" exclaimed Sai "no, he couldn't have!" said Kai in disbelief. Dari clenched her teeth and tightly gripped the relic, tears falling to the ground. "Nooo!" she screamed, kicking her head back.

Vladmir roared in laughter. "It stings doesnt it princess! Now imagine how I felt when you killed my family RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY VERY EYES! And not only that! But you burned down my home and left me for dead! See how it feels princess?!?! And i assure you! You arnt even 1% close to feeling the pain i felt!" Vladmir threw back his head and roared with laughter again.

Dari's mind exploded with sorrow, reason was lost. At that moment her sobs stopped sharply, and her face went blank. "trance re-established... she doesn't need to feel this." said Kai calmly. Dari hoisted herself up on her wings, loosely gripping the crown and crawling away, her body hanging loosely. "You've made a grave mistake Vladmir, I've subdued her for now to ensure the safety of the Surface. Leave or risk the lives of more than just yours. I know that even a vile creature such as you have those you need to protect." warned Sai.

Vladmir cackled demonically. "What do I have left to protect?!?! My mother, father, brothers, sisters, and friends were all enslaved and murdered by that crazy woman!! I live for the fight and nothing more!! Before I die, her blood will be spilled by my blade! I will avenge my people!!!!" Vladmir threw back his head and laughed. When he had settled himself, he turned back to Dari and in a calm voice he said "You live today, but trust these words......" Vladmir disappeared, leaving only the echo of his voice. "The next time we meet, Dari-Queen on Sky Vale, you and the rest of your civilization, will die by my hand. And i will personally drink the crimson drug from your decapitated head." And then, no trace of the Kaishun's presence remained-except the damage he had caused...

Sai let out a tired sigh of relief and plopped down on Dari's shoulder. "what should we do now? Dari can't cope with the loss of her father, it might push her off the edge." said Kai. her sister shrugged. "i guess we can repress that memory and bury the crown." she suggested. Kai bit her bottom lip. "I guess that would be in the best intrest. we need to keep her from remembering, so i'll leave it to you to silence our companion." Sai nodded in agreement. After Dari buried the crown she almost lifelessly drudged over to the tree where Midnight stood and lowered herself to the ground. Kai went to work right away, tampering with her memories so that she could not recall the clash with Vladmir. "that should do it." said Kai triumphantly. "she'll be out of it for a while, in the meantime we have to think of a way to get new Harmony Coils and Engine parts. Without either of them she's extremely vulnerable." observed Sai.

Midnight blinked everything had happened so quickly. She sheathed her sword and turned back to Kai ans Sai. "You know him? Also wont she wonder where she got her shoulder wound?" She questioned. "You might have some troubles with that." She said as she stepped closer to Dari.

"We didn't just repress her memory, we gave her new ones." Stated Kai. "she will think she got that cut from her crash, as for the missing harmony coils she'll think that she ejected them while crashing." She added. "You must not tell her what transpired, it might resurface the memory. All we can do is keep it locked away for as long as we can, to ensure the safety of the Surface. She's become extremely important because of the death of the Sky-King, which would now make her the Queen. we must find a way to return to Sky-Vale as soon as we can." explained Sai. "we'll wake her up now, just remember not to tell her anything." Kai nodded at her sister and tinkered with the exposed wires on Dari's helmet, slapping the console shut. Dari's eyes opened slowly, blinking up at Midnight and yawning before smiling cutely at her. "good morning, Midnight." she said.

Midnight blinked at her. "Good morning Dari." She said with a smile. "How are you feeling?" Midnight asked smiling still. "Do you need anything? Food? Water?" She questioned not remembering exactly what mortals needed when they first woke up. "I know I could use some blood." She chuckled meaning it as nothing more than a joke.
