IMHO, the best burn spell of all time is Grim Lavamancer due to its low cost and reusability.
But if you don't count creatures, then I suppose I also own Lightning Bolt and Fireblast. Fireblast may not have a deck to fit in right now, but that doesn't mean it isn't one of the best burn spells ever smile .

OMG kindle!!!!!!.....kidding, totally kidding. Lightning bolt is fun. but I love having the random fireball in an elf deck that can produce infinite mana.

searing wind!!!! just kidding, i like the pumped up versions of fireball, starstorm... as far as type 2, i like the lava spike, its a new player only sorcery lightning bolt

I'm Sorry, but best i have is Molten Influence. Counter target spell unless your opponent takes 4 damage
best for in type 2, Beacon of Destruction. Lava Axe that gets shuffled back into the deck. oh yeah.

instant's+sorceries the MTg card
design team won't allow R to
achieved that kind of power. it's
doesn't really suit R to have a
blue mechanic.

dont forget skullscorch. it was a fun rare from torment... also firebolt and the other "free" spells... other good cards to go with these, the new red armageddon!!! and ryusei!

some like rewind,palichorn etc.

I really like goblin grenade. 5 damage for 1 mana and sacking one goblin, not bad. I put about 10 in my deck without telling my friends... I don't think they liked that.
